Excellent detailed description of what now could be considered a classic Ti pot/kettle having largely remained the same for 20 years , however these are made in Thailand and the original slightly smaller were made in Japan, the Titan cup also followed this production change .

The price depends on the person buying it. It is a nice pot though. I have never used titanium pots but have considered getting some.
I love titanium for boiling water, cooking not so much. Nice and light weight with superior heat transfer.
