  • In today's video, I'll teach you how to use, and not use, Ilford's XP2 Disposable camera. All in all, I had a good time shooting this, so I would recommend you give it a try for yourself!

I used the Ilford for both my Thailand and UK trip. My first tool came out good, but Thailand is super sunny and rarely had a low light shot waiting to see how my UK roll comes out

Photographing Thailand would be so sick!

Enjoyed the video but I don’t get the appeal of disposable cameras when old point and shoots are so cheap. If it’s the crappy lens get a toy camera.

That's fair. I would say, if I'm defending the disposable, that I can go to a concert and not care that it's in my pocket when the crowd is chaotic. I wouldn't be sad if it broke. I can, for the most part, trust that there's no light leaks. The mechanics should function as advertised.
Old (electronic) point and shoots can have a few more problems, such as light leaks, funky electronic issues, discontinued batteries, foggy lenses, etc. I'd say the value of a CLA'd point and shoot that you can throw in your pocket would outweigh the disposables but I think there's a time and place for both!
