The first one is absolutely perfect. Great videos, glad to be an early subcriber. I also started a photography on location channel and to watch this motivates me a lot. Thanks.
Thank you so much! In very lowlight, high contrast situations, I’ll spot meter the entire scene and determine what in the scene I want my shadows to be. From there I also determine my highlights. I love the look of blown highlights in windows so I usually keep them at least 3-4 stops over, I don’t really have a limit mentally for how high I let that go. I base most of my night photography on the shadows and usually keep them 1-2 stops under middle gray. From there I adjust slightly for reciprocity, but typically don’t account for reciprocity until I hit around 8 seconds.
That first photo is breathtaking. I yelled at the screen it was so good. You've got me sold on Ektar at night.
Thank you so much! I may or may not have yelled when I saw the scan as well lol

@@alexwahoski Thank you Alex for explaining and keep up the awesome videos and photos.
what reciprocity value did you use i was trying to find the numbers the other day but had no luck?
Most shots I would lean towards shadows and expose regularly up to around 8 seconds. Past that I’d add about 20%-30% time.
Why the video have 159 likes and 189 dislikes xd
Que paso con los subtitulos 😭
