Looks like a reissue of the one with the panther pink on the box except they changed the decals. A great kit. I built the first one in sub lime. I may get this version too.
I've got one on pre-order, as well, from Model RoundUp. I never liked the lack of factory decals for the "pink '70 Charger R/T" kit in 2016, but I drooled when I saw Chris's presentation of the decals included in this 'Charger. In 1970 when MPC released their '70 Charger R/T, I free-handed black side "scallop" stripes on a Grape Frost paint job. I've lived with that job since then, but now I can build several '70 Charger R/T's with the optional stripes, and even the white ones ! I've been building since 1964, snf I can't believe the great stuff coming out now ! Thanks, Revell !
awsome build chris i love the colours you used. this is my favourate charger. when these get to Canada im going to buy 3 of them, cant wait. love the box art better than that pink 1. im glad you show what paint, glues you are using it is very helpful. ive been building 46 years and still learn new tricks from you and others, but your my favourate model building channel.
Awesome job ... I can't wait to build another one, and this time I'm purchasing multiple kits ! Now Revell has to re-release the '70 'Cuda kit again, it's been over a decade since they have. 😇👍🏼
If i remember correctly you once showed this kit on your channel and i think the build was suppose to be about your dads car, but i could be wrong. Thank you for sharing looks fantastic.
It's looking great especially with the different tones of black. I have the mid 60s Ford longbed from Moebius I'll be building hopefully later this year.
Great looking build, I have always loved this body style of Charger, Growing up in the 1970's a neighbor of ours had a Red and White '69 Charger, the breaks went out and it was sold to the junkyard, I recently just found that out, I remember going in that neighbor's house and they had a shelf full of MPC 1968-'70 Mopar kits built. This particular one is a must have for me, So is that '69, I have an original 1969 MPC version of the kit that I wish would get retooled by Round 2, that body in that kit to my eyes is spot on! Keep knocking them out of the park my friend!!!
Hi Chris, thank you so much for transforming me from the trials, tribulation and setbacks I've encountered with Airbrushes and airbrush painting. Went on a journey of two high-end premium Airbrushes with specialty paints, and it just created so many pain points, and frustration, that I'm going back to rattle cans. I read your replies below, and I completely agree with your philosophy. There's absolutely nothing wrong with rattle cans, and if it makes everything in the hobby more enjoyable...so be it. You've confirmed this time and time again. I suppose there's a time and place for airbrushing, and there's a lid for every pot, but as you've pointed out....I'm now going to enjoy this hobby more, doing it my way, (and your way)....with rattle cans. Thank you!
1970 returning from the land of heated humidity I had 70% of my pay from 24 months. My wonderful wife got a job and moved in to my old bedroom to save money. I was told I could buy ANY new car I wanted - we had the money. After visiting EVERY new car dealership; drum roll, I bought a Datsun 2000 sports car with race cam, Weber carbs and extractor exhaust. Charger, my first choice, was out of stock. We happily drove from Seattle to Denver in December top down. Nice build, Chris !
Beautiful model. Getn a couple as soon as i can. Love the beautys. Just watched a video of this car with the side stripes on it. It would be cool if they included a grill with the headlights open.
Another nice build. I look forward to your model build up. I pick up a few tricks and tips. How do you clean up the chrome parts that you clip off the chrome tree? Thanks for sharing,oh working on the ‘69 ford falcon modified stocker. Having a lot of fun.
Funny just earlier this evening I saw a short of a beautiful 68 Camaro with buckets of course and it crossed my mind how with the demise of bench seats it was the beginning of the separation of the sex’s. No more snuggles on the road, so sad.
This kit, over The years has been used to make 68-70 chargers and they have been issued with the 426 and the 440. The decal sheets have had labels for both engines.
Take your time and remember it's just a hobby. One step, then another. Slow down painting. It's not a race and you don't have to keep up with or duplicate what others do. It's for you to relax and kick back while doing. As you do it more you'll get into a groove and find your pace and what techniques work for you.
I don't care what anyone says, those rims are boring. All the American manufacturers had their version of them. Used to be you couldn't walk around a shop without tripping over a set. I wish model companies would just add an option or two to each kit. The build looks great, though. You just can't go wrong with blue.
I don't pay attention to all the folks who demand everyone build models their way using the materials they demand everyone else use. I don't trash anyone who chooses to use what they want either, if they enjoy it then that's great. I build my models for me, I use the paints I want and they turn out just fine. 104+ kits per year for a decade now, no problems for the most part.
@ I wasn’t trashing you or mocking what you do, you do a great job and just asked a question. I was thinking wouldn’t the paint particles would be thicker than what is in a Testors can, I know Rustoleum is the parent company, but are the cans themselves the same size; wouldn’t the Testors can have smaller paint particles and smaller nozzle then a can used to paint a wheelbarrow.
@@edwinchampeau8685 Yes, in some cases there are differences. If a person takes their time learns the technique and practices they can get nice results with the cheaper paints. I didn't think you were mocking me, but I'm well aware of the channels that take pot shots at me and directly insult the way I and thousands of others like to build. They make the same remarks "lawn chair paint" etc and claim you can only use model paints, toxic two part clears and airbrushes or you aren't modeling 'correctly'. As if there is only one way to enjoy a hobby. I don't argue with those folks or take shots at them, I enjoy building and painting my way and so do thousands of others. Enjoy and thanks for hanging out!
All these Revell 68 through 70 Charger kits are fantastic!
Great video, love how he doesn't get too obsessed with perfection and just has fun and it always turns out so good. Great video!
great video. I can't wait for this kit
Fun is the #1 goal with my hobby, thanks!
Am 73 years young and started to build model cars
Looks like a reissue of the one with the panther pink on the box except they changed the decals. A great kit. I built the first one in sub lime. I may get this version too.

Great job Chris,I like how you detail your models
Ohh man very nicely done on that ‘70 Charger Chris! Love that white interior, engine detail, underbody detail and nice blue on that body!

Looks awesome in blue Chris, great build 👍
Great video once again Chris. Keep em coming, I'll keep watching
Appreciate you watching!
If i remember correctly you once showed this kit on your channel and i think the build was suppose to be about your dads car, but i could be wrong. Thank you for sharing looks fantastic.
That would be the older 1969 kit, with vinyl top. Thanks!
Hopefully they will reissue that one as well.
It's looking great especially with the different tones of black. I have the mid 60s Ford longbed from Moebius I'll be building hopefully later this year.

Great build, love the blue,
I like chargers, you did a great job on this. Thanks
These Revell Chargers are nice kits and this color choice is perfect.

You are absolutely right, there's no wrong way to enjoy this hobby!
Great looking build/kit! Thanks Chris
Nicely done Chris.
Thanks for all your great videos! Grew up with a ‘70 Dodge Charger in the family so I love this model!
Your videos are my weekly therapy
Thanks for watching and enjoy the hobby!
Beautiful build & Review , I almost bought a 70 charger in 1982 but bought my Cuda just sold it 8 mths ago
I have the real '69 Charger 1:1 in my workshop right now, waiting for a new paintjob 👍
I had no idea this kit was being released. I’ll need two for the stash. Excellent work on this one, beautiful model. Thanks for sharing.
Well done
Looks like another winner from Revell. Well done.
Beautiful build. That pistol grip is a nice addition.
Love the Mopar kits, great review and a great kit. Keep up the great work and have a great day.

That's an awesome story! I'm glad you enjoyed the build.
Super nice looking build Chris! Looking forward to getting this one!

Love the build man nice job ❤
Beautiful model. Getn a couple as soon as i can. Love the beautys.

I agree - the only thing I'd change about these kits.
Looks really sharp and rims look great 👍
Still waiting for my favorite Dodge charger to be released 73/74
Great... 🤦 Now I have to purchase this kit. 😉 Thanks for sharing.
Looks great! Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays to you!
Seems like a vary nice kit
Nice build 😎😁
Great job mate👌👍
Very nice build and unboxing love your videos👍👍 suppose to be released Nov. 27
It's already been released. I saw them available on eBay.
Nice!!!
Still waiting on the AMT '71 Super Bee Street machine with the hemi option.... 😟
I'd love to see that too! I've got a real one.... Just minus the hemi 😔
Another nice build. I look forward to your model build up. I pick up a few tricks and tips. How do you clean up the chrome parts that you clip off the chrome tree? Thanks for sharing,oh working on the ‘69 ford falcon modified stocker. Having a lot of fun.
Silver sharpie on the cut off areas.
@ thanks I’ll have to pick one up.
nice job chris my father inlaw had a 70 also but his was the bright green with white interior and had the 440 v8 not the hemi
Amazing job. What markers do u use ?
Wonder if any companies have done the charger brougham body?
At first I thought its gonna be laziest engine ever, but it turned out just fine with some brush details. Congrats on finished project.
Funny just earlier this evening I saw a short of a beautiful 68 Camaro with buckets of course and it crossed my mind how with the demise of bench seats it was the beginning of the separation of the sex’s. No more snuggles on the road, so sad.
How do you keep your silver sharpie from rubbing off during handling?
The kit says 440 in the deal sheet. Can you build the car with the 440 engine instead of the 426 hemi
This kit, over The years has been used to make 68-70 chargers and they have been issued with the 426 and the 440. The decal sheets have had labels for both engines.
Question...what kind of pen did you use to highlight the door panels on the body? It appears it had a fine point.
I wish I could do a build that nice. All I can do is mess it up and make it look like junk😂
But are you enjoying any part of buying, planning, building? For me, if I can 3 wheels on the ground with a car kit, I’m doing good.

Did the radiator fit or did you leave it off?
Seeing the 440 decals I was hoping they included that as well. Bummer
When will they re-issue the 77 Montecarlo. Thats like Hens teeth in the UK .

I thought Rust oleum paint was too thick for model kits

Nice build "But"How many time's are we going to get the same kit -kit's with different box art?? Sry not sry.....
Disappointed many of Testors previous colors are no longer available...
I feel so stupid for not knowing the blackwash was a thing...ive been masking off and spray painting my charger grills😐
