@@obeii1805 The issue with my front fork is that it would bottom out very easy and wouldn't really rebound and would sit without a rider at nearly 50% of the compression already used up. The solution was exactly as show in the video. My fork oil was over full on one side and under filled on the other side and both sides the spring was sunken into the metal collar that is inside. After properly balancing the fluid and adding two washers on both sides between the spring and collar, my front for has operates flawlessly and completly changed the ride dynamics of the bike.
I just got a new CTY2 and the front forks are complete rubbish. This is the video that Onyx support sent me to. I guess the solution is for me to spend more of my time and money to take apart my new bike and fix things that shouldn't be broken. I just hope it actually works. Now I have to spend money on a 12MM hex that I don't have and 5wt shock oil I don't have. I'll really be tuned up if this doesn't solve the problem. DD214, you're about the same height and weight as me and also have a CTY2. How's your front suspension? Mine bottoms out if you look at it funny and forget about when you're actually riding it.
@@JVTechandRCI been having nothing but issues with my new cty2 as well n been spending money on stuff every since purchase.. was always dealing with support, I just got tired of dealing with issues, I don’t contact them no1 n I’m not spending any more money on this bike. After the forks n right brake they sent me which I hadn’t installed cus I don’t know how but after I get it fix I’m done
It keeps the spring from sliding into the tube and also makes the fluid do it's part for ride smoothness. It also prevents bottoming out because it slows down the spring rate with back pressure through the hole in the washer but it still drains back down around the spring. Just try it you'll notice it immediately when you ride it. NOT as much front end drop when you brake hard. I paid .30 cents for a dramatic difference in the ride. They feel completely different and I'm a big guy...
I was just sent here by Onyx support to address my CTY2's junk front suspension issues.
Bro what the issue u had ? I had an issue with my cty2 fork leaking oil like 2 weeks after purchase.

@@JVTechandRC it came like that even tho they say they test every bike
Will this now be included in the QC for the bikes before they get sent out? Full disclosure My shocks and many others were fine.
Is this why I’ve been hearing complaints recently of peoples shocks not working well?

@@JVTechandRC Sorry to hear that. No issues with my standard height forks. Should of just gone standard. Shorty has no travel.

Do both the V2 and the V1.5 have hydrolytic oil? Is there any way to change the front fork from standard to shorty?
Same forks get different shocks and replace the factory shocks. Sam Johnson, John Angel have video of changing them on RUclips
What fork oil ?
What does the washer do?

Thought that was a wooden front fender lol... Thinking about it now, wood(would) look cool a laminated wooden fender to match the cover.
Did you get your green bike back?
