I was thinking of doing Balanced body Pilates reformer training, but it $700 FOR each class so just 6 classes are almost $4,200. Then there are no balanced body studios except in NYC which is 2-3 hrs commute from Long Island NY. There is strangely no balanced body studios on Long Island at all the one listed on line is not a balanced body they stealing the name of the company but not affiliated with balanced body. I found out IMX Pilates basic is a 5 day training that costs $2,150.00 which is a matt plus reformer certification class. But then there is other classes you would need to take and then it is all separate classes, advanced certification reformer, advanced matt class, tower and tower Barr, super advanced reformer, platform certification reformer and the class are all separate after the basic class things started to add up. I am having trouble finding out the costs to compare it and wondering which is better because I don’t have a lot of money right now. There no loans you can get to take this too so what is affordable where it easier to get an actually job. I am sooooo confused. IMX doesn’t have a lot of studios on Long Island too it has only 2 studios.

I started my mat training with BB in fall of 2022 and finished it in spring of 2023, but due to a lot of things work and health related, I only tested out a few weeks ago. It took me way longer to complete my hours than I had expected. I had a hard time finding people to teach consistently. I’m not mad at it. I might have been ready to test out a little bit sooner, but the way it worked was perfect. I suspect that reformer will also be a long haul. I have a lot of logistics to work through, especially when I was able to teach mat to people on zoom. It’s harder with the equipment. I was definitely overwhelmed. I learned early on to book the Monday after the weekend modules off so I could get a massage and relax before returning to work. I made some friends in my class and we’ve definitely supported each other.

Hi! Did it take you 7 months from start to finish (like, the first in person day of the course) or 7 months from your last day of "course" days? (hope this makes sense)

@@danio2322 7 months to complete all the hours in the program and within those 7 months were the “course days” training weekends! Does this make sense?

This info was so helpful! Do you have any resources for studying anatomy?

I'm so glad!! Oo I definitely struggled with my anatomy in the beginning. I'm a visual learner so tools like Poke-A-Muscle and 3D Anatomy were extremely helpful for me. I would also take free anatomy quizzes I'd find online aside from the Anatomy resources my program provided so I could continue to test my knowledge. Hope this helps!

    Hi!
    Thank you for your video!
What is your opinion if it’s will be completed for an alien to learn teaching Pilates ? Yeah, I am a foreigner and I am very scared to go and learn hot to teach Pilates because I am not sure that I can teach in English because it’s not my native tongue and I am not good in speaking 😨 😮
