PERFECT choice of music for the Gamilons, being the alien version of WW2 Germany that they were (IIRC the Gamilons had their own, successful Thousand Year Reich prior to their war with Earth). I would love to see Sabaton's "Wolfpack" adapted for Wulf Frakken and his dimensional submarine. Now that would be perfection.
@@angelapolinar5343 As am I and while there do appear to be some elements of "manifest destiny" and "capitalism", the class system on Garmilas with the obsession of purebloods being in power as well as the fanatical devotion to Dessler. not to mention the uniforms and the ever present Nazi salute ( I mean seriously, look at that raised right hand.) it's obvious that Garmillan is very much the alien version of Nazi Germany. Although West Germany might be a better analogy if you continued with the history vibe. On a slightly different but related subject I found in 2202 that the Gatlantians are surprisingly similar to the Imperial Japanese forces. Their utter disregard for life, willingness to take engineers and scientists prisoner and do who knows what to them to force weapons manufacturing. And let's not forget their self destruct mechanism. An alien twist on the motto of death before surrender. All these elements were present in Imperial Japan during WW2. To be so obvious in the portrayal of these Imperial Japanese ideals in the Gatlantians is not what I expected from a Japanese anime. They usually keep elements of that part of Japan's past out of these kind of shows. (using German and Italian styled baddies is their MO) But it's a nice change and I like it.

You know, something I wondered about Space Battleship Yamato, (and this also applies to Star Wars), but WHAT is the point of aircraft carriers when all of your ships are basically aircraft THEMSELVES!? I get the point of aircraft carriers in real life, so any Navy veterans, I am NOT suggesting that aircraft carriers are worthless in an IRL setting, since, well, in real life, ships can't fly, and I get the WWII references, but for the sake of practicality, WHY would a SPACE NAVY have ANY NEED for an aircraft carrier WHATSOEVER!? Battleships would rule with their bristling guns, and can fly like the other space carriers, not to mention that Yamato also carries aircraft, so it just... Aircraft Carriers in space just seem COMPLETELY useless in that regard...
Maybe read up on star wars carriers of you want to know more. But in general, they fulfill the same role as sea carriers on earth - smaller aircraft maybe don't have hyperdrives, crew comfort is lacking, limited fuel capacity, rations, etc...
Aircraft can provide ASW roles against stealth ships, reconaisance, fire assistance (like an artillery spotter), and CAS in support of ground forces. They can also be deployed against surface batteries that cruisers and battleships would have extreme difficulty in destroying othewise on their own (see: the Pluto surface batteries, and how they destroyed it's cloaking devices and it too).
The only real problem with a carrier would be it's total incapability to be of any use in a fleet battle, as the first barrages of fire would absolutely annihilate it and trying to remain at standoff distances won't work with the extreme ranges of spatial warfare. You're much better off dedicating them to roles analogous to an amphibious assault ship (planetary landings and such)...lol Don't see the point in multideck carriers tho. Where'd they put the hangar deck@@merafirewing6591
Because Carriers tend to need run ways since their Aircrafts aren't capable of VTOL. And in some cases they needed a runway type of flight deck when they're in an atmosphere.
Thing wrong in this video; 1.) explotions are not possible in space because there is no atmosphere 2.) propulsion using boosters is not possible because there is no atmosphere 3.) the aerodynamic shape of the ships are not possible because there is no air True alien spaceships would look like giant sattelites. With solar panels to absorb the energy of the sun
1) Air inside the ships, assuming the alien empire uses some oxygen which is likely due to their human appearance. 2) We have that tech in the real world, just add oxygen from a tank to start the fire 3) The ships are shown going into atmosphere, they have to put down somewhere. Also a brick doesn't look very threatening
