Okay, but imagine if Athena and the ghost of Polites worked together to create a Therapy Saga. We've talked so much about needing one, so imagine if the most therapeutic character teamed up with the emotionally-detached goddess of wisdom to give Ody therapy. It'd be beautiful, healing chaos. As a goddess, Athena could go to the Underworld with Hades's permission and talk to Polites, informing him of the situation and collaborating with him on how to work out Ody's issues.

I love how you did Polites movements. I love how Odysseus pulled Polites back when the lotus eater appeared I love how the lotus eaters look like bulbasaurs and that you can tell that those are lotus on their heads. Also, the way they cover their eyes for the "stay back".They are sooo cute! That whole cliff scene is worth the price of admission! The colors, the expressions, the wind, Polites, the camera turn, the clouds, the hug as they face the island and the cave! It is so sweet and tender, which makes it feel tragic because we know what comes next, we know what they are facing and looking towards. Also, I'm not sure if this was what you were going for, but the act of Polites handing him the lotus fruit, while he is saying his message about greeting the world with open arms, it gives me this quality of, yes greet the world with open arms even if there are consequences and things that can go wrong. It feels like such a Polites sentiment, that even if it wasn't intentional, I like it! You did such great work! Rest, eat, hydrate and take care of yourself now! You earned it! 🙂❤

I love this so much! I also like how stoic Odysseus looks almost the entire time, most likely because he’s been conditioned by Athena to toughen up, even around his best friend. Ohhh, another thing-I loved how he pushed the lotus fruit against Polites’ chest, as if calling him naive for even thinking of being friendly with others. (SPOILERS BELOW) Gives it more angst for when Polites dies later on.
Yeah! He’s so stoic that even when Polites is pointing out he feels guilty he doesn’t look away or tense or anything he just doesn’t look aware. Instead he just continues staring like it’s something he can’t process what Polites is saying to him. 😭😭 Or maybe I’m looking too into it- either way I think it’s an interesting bit that intended or not is a nice detail.😁✨

This is so well done! Excellent character expressions. You understand emotion and expression very well. Odysseus’s stoicness is subtle, he’s protective, he’s scared to loose who he cares about, he’s afraid to open up. You portrayed the subtitle very well. After ages searching for my favorite animatic of this song... here it is. This is it, it made me tear up. It's so clean and direct and the movement/blocking is so clear! Beautiful! It ties into the following saga so well, too, by actually SHOWING their destination in the distance and having Polites hand Ody the fruit near the end to explain visually that he would still be carrying it by the time they meet Polyphemus... argh! Ten out of ten!

I love how pissed Ody looks when they are surrounded and Polities goes 'My friend greet the world with open arms' because Ody sees them as a threat and therefore is like you wanna die but then he thinks and is like meh and does it anyway. Yeah probably, plus polites would probably have trusted Odysseus with the wind bag and stopped a certain person from opening the bag, and they would all be back waaaaaaaay sooner

I love how pissed Ody looks when they are surrounded and Polities goes 'My friend greet the world with open arms' because Ody sees them as a threat and therefore is like you wanna die but then he thinks and is like meh and does it anyway.
ALSO the way the lotus eater tugged on Ody's dress thing and gives him the fruit ITS ADORABLE JSISKKSHICGYDGW

Yeah probably, plus polites would probably have trusted Odysseus with the wind bag and stopped a certain person from opening the bag, and they would all be back waaaaaaaay sooner
also if polites didnt die Ody probably wouldnt have pulled the "my name is-" bcs he wouldnt be /that/ mad, or at least Polites would have grounded him enough. So no angry sea god, no problems back home

omg, i love this animatic, they kinda look here like just a couple of kids messing around on a little adventure, where one's been through some shit that children should never be subjected to and now has severe trust issues, and the other is just a happy-go-lucky kinda guy who grew up knowing no worries or pain and now is just trying to help his friend see the world in a better light again
p.s. not a jab at the artstyle, btw, i'm more so talking about the way they behave and interact in this animatic, esp polites
