Thank you for posting this! I'm planning for the W Trek in November, and this is hands down the most informative video I have come across. Did you pack rain pants?

@@TanjaTucker Hi Tanja I’m really glad you liked the video and I know you’ll love the W Trek. I did not bring rain pants and we got really lucky with the weather so we didn’t need them. I personally have never owned a pair of rain pants that I like. I have always found them to be uncomfortable and not necessary.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It is great to hear from a lady's perspective as my wife and I are preparing for the W trek this coming February (and I want to make sure we both have a great experience in harsher conditions/weather than we're used to.
I was wondering u have any additional tips for hiking around February from your previous trips, and also what +degF rating is your sleeping bag liner? Our sleeping bags are rated with a lower limit of 30degF, but still thinking to get a liner for that extra warmth. Thank you so much,

@@IaMYip thank you for commenting! You will love the W. Are you camping or sleeping in Refugio’s?

Hi! We'll be camping all 5 days and have rented a campsite with tent and a sleeping mat only so we'll be bringing our own sleeping bags.
I also wanted to ask what were your go-to methods of drying the airlite towel after showering. I am not sure we can pitch a hangline and our towels may fly away if there are high winds 😅

@ I have the sea to summit thermolite reactor liner and it’s perfect. I just camped 4 nights and even on the cold nights the tents felt warm enough. We stayed at Cuernos and Chileno in the premium tents and they are well protected from the wind.

I am thinking of bringing beef jerky as well, just wondering whether you need to take them out or declare when going through the custom in the airport

@@dandanshen8580 we took beef jerky from the US. The flight attendant recommended that we declare “plant and animal products” on the form, so we did. She said that if we didn’t declare it and they found that or nuts it could cause delays and they would ask why we didn’t declare these items. She always declares these items and has never been held up at customs. We had no issues!
