🍕🍕🍕 gang. Bought this refurbished for £380 this year and although the metal edges are a little roughed up with a few dents and scratches and the edges of the screen have a slight yellow tint (not sure if this was caused by overheating in its past life or something), I still think it’s such a fantastic device in 2024. The battery is surprisingly good for me (max i got was like 5 hours) and as a student I just think it’s just a fun and useful addition to my studies. Keep making videos bro, honestly I love them 💚💚
I purchased mine back in 2019, when I started College. It has been my loyal companion all these years and hasn´t failed me once. I normally use it alongside the apple pencil and Notability, for notetaking (obviously), voice recording, reading, and attending lectures. As an Art Student I work a lot with images, and being a Macbook air M2 user, I don´t complain about the pixel and image display of the Ipad. One of the best products for day to day use, still relevant in 2024
Based on Ben's previous video, I bought a 2018 iPad Pro 11 (cellular) and I'm very happy. I'm a writer and content consumer and it holds up just fine for these tasks.
I actually just got a 12.9 inch and absolutely love it. I previously had a 2020 iPad Air and was looking to condense down my devices. I really only use my tablets/laptops for content consumption and maybe a little bit of word processing type stuff. So, I wanted a bigger screen. I found a great deal on my 12.9 and sold my iPad Air.

This iPad will get iPadOS 18 guranteed. The 2017 pro is still supported... Apple has been supporting base iPads for at least 6 years and air/pro for 8 years since 2014.
@@mikechansw748 It will get 19 for sure too.. All iPad pros have received 7 major OS updates so far, as well as all iPad air since the air 2. The 2018 will have received only 6 with iPadOS 18, so there is absolutely no reason for it not getting iPadOS 19. But it will stop there.
I have used my 2018 iPad Pro (12.9”, 500GB, Wi-Fi, cellular) every day since 2018 without any problems. And it accepted iPadOS 18.1. The battery is only good for about 2 hours so I frequently use a power bank. I could replace the battery but I don’t want to take any chances that the installer will break the screen or otherwise screw it up.
Use my 12.9 pro from 2018 for at least 5-6 hours a day, still not seen any lag, Procreate runs as well as it did when I bought the device. Amazing investment and I hope Apple give me at least a couple more years of updates.
i think that the ipad only get old when the battery doesn’t last at least one complete day (not 24 hrs in screen) or when doesn’t get latest updates, anyways, the pro motion display is a very nice way to feel it fluid and fast, i’m happy with my m1 11 inch ipad, i think im gonna have it until 2027 or 2028 because with my use i charge it every 3-4 days
Looking at the benchmark scores of this 2018 iPad Pro tells me everything I need to know whether or not it holds up value to this day and it’s a definite yes. It performs just as good if not better than the latest standard iPad 10th generation. It’s also a budget tablet with a non-severe price-tag if you purchase it refurbished or used.
I have the same iPad 512gs with cellular and wifi love it no complaints just regret forgetting to add apple care on it only reason y im thinking on getting a new i pad just to add apple care and be more comfortable to use my iPad day to day

While I’m not an Apple fan, back when I purchased my IPad Pro 11 inch 1st gen I was trying to find a replacement for my Samsung tablet at the time. I wasn’t happy with how Samsung inconsistently invested in their tablet range and inconsistent software updates but I still wanted access to local storage which by coincidence IPadOS launched. This device still runs well considering it’s almost 5 yrs. Just the battery that isn’t as good and probably soon not supported by latest IOS.

Hi guys! Agreed, the 11 inch is way easier to travel with. My 12.9 stays at home usually as well, even though it has the superior display. Hope the rumored OLED 11 inch drops soon!
🍕 I have the 12.9-inch 2018 iPad Pro with 1TB storage... and with 6GB RAM not the 4GB in the other models, and my honest takeaway from that device is it's the fastest Apple device I own! ( I don't have any of the M-series MacBook Pros for reference, I'm waiting on when they support/implement Thunderbolt 5 (which has 80-120Gbit/s instead of my old Thunderbolt 1 (10Gbit/s) port on my MacBook Pro, I also use a lot of USB Type-A devices so I'm waiting for a current MBP with fast USB Type-A Ports. ) My 2018 iPad Pro has also completely replaced my older MacBook Pro, with being able to do incredibly intensive video-editing tasks with no render-wait time, and that's with 6GB of RAM, imagine if I bought the M1/M2 iPad Pro with 16GB RAM, or even with enough time, got an M4 iPad Pro down the line with even more than 16GB RAM. All I got to say is: the 2018 iPad Pro is so fast at doing my very intensive video-editing tasks, and it renders them with so much ease, that I don't have an urge for more power. The only things that would warrant me an upgrade is Thunderbolt 5, more than 16GB RAM, or faster than 30W charging. Your video is awesome!
@@WillFrost99 I have been using an app called: "Videoleap" and it's like Final Cut Pro on the iPad, (before Apple did that exact thing). There's AI features now (that I purposely ignore, but the fast editing and unique visual style of the transitions make it perfect for editing with my 2018 iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2. Good Luck!
I bought it 6 years ago and it is still going strong. I use it regularly for lighter use, media consumption, music lessons, some office stuff. Its battery has a 90 % remaining capacity, which for me is fine. You can feel that the battery sometimes suffers a bit, but thanks to usb-c charging is not as annoying as my iPhone 14, lol Great device, I‘m having fun with it for 6 years now.

Hi guys! Agreed, the 11 inch is way easier to travel with. My 12.9 stays at home usually as well, even though it has the superior display. Hope the rumored OLED 11 inch drops soon!
🍕0:00 I love the wallpaper, what is it?🍕
some random pic I found on Pinterest lol
🍕 I have the 12.9-inch 2018 iPad Pro with 1TB storage... and with 6GB RAM not the 4GB in the other models, and my honest takeaway from that device is it's the fastest Apple device I own! ( I don't have any of the M-series MacBook Pros for reference, I'm waiting on when they support/implement Thunderbolt 5 (which has 80-120Gbit/s instead of my old Thunderbolt 1 (10Gbit/s) port on my MacBook Pro, I also use a lot of USB Type-A devices so I'm waiting for a current MBP with fast USB Type-A Ports. )
My 2018 iPad Pro has also completely replaced my older MacBook Pro, with being able to do incredibly intensive video-editing tasks with no render-wait time, and that's with 6GB of RAM, imagine if I bought the M1/M2 iPad Pro with 16GB RAM, or even with enough time, got an M4 iPad Pro down the line with even more than 16GB RAM.
That's awesome your 2018 12.9 is still holding up so well! It really is an awesome device.
What video editing software do you use on your 2018 iPad pro? I’m looking to start a RUclips channel and so I’d like to be able to edit on iPad.
Good Luck!

great video🍕
Ty!
I have this iPad. Does anyone else have trouble with google docs?
What issues are you having?
🍕def still using mine. Just watch this video at work on it lol. Still runs like a charm.
Yass awesome!
About to buy a 1TB one for photography and music making. Think it's the cheapest I can get with Apple Pencil 2 support and USB-C. Absolute bargain!!!
Yeah it's amazing! Do it!
@@b3naqua couldnt get it for price i wanted so offered £430 for a 1TB Gen 3 12.9", and got it. Same, but bigger. :)
@@b3naqua Arrived today! About to buy an intel MBP 16" with 32GB/1TB also..... old stuff rocks. :)
🍕🍕 I have the same 2018 pro and it works perfectly fine
yassss 👏🏼 crazy how it still holds up!
Watching this on my m1 ipad pro 12.9 anticipating the m3s to see if they are worth the hype
Nice! That m1 iPad Pro is amazing too. I have one as well 👏🏼
I bought it 6 years ago and it is still going strong. I use it regularly for lighter use, media consumption, music lessons, some office stuff.
Its battery has a 90 % remaining capacity, which for me is fine. You can feel that the battery sometimes suffers a bit, but thanks to usb-c charging is not as annoying as my iPhone 14, lol
Great device, I‘m having fun with it for 6 years now.
Awesome to hear your 2018 is still going strong!
would love to see your take on the apple watch lineups.
Noted ✔️
Still using my 2018 iPad Pro 😅🍕

Check the album out! Ben Aqua “Chopin Preludes for Classical Synthesizer” on Spotify, Apple Music, etc
I use my 2018 12.9 for call of duty mobile and youtube everyday. My 2017 10.5 ipad pro died 2months ago .
I feel like the ipad mini 6 is the best ipad in my opinion . I use my wifes and i love it for when in the bed and just carrying around
Yeah the mini 6 is incredible as well! Def the easiest iPad to take around everywhere. If the mini got mini LED/OLED I'd prob switch to it tbh.
Also RIP your 10.5 🙏🏼
🍕 good vid
Thanks!
iPadOS 18 slowed it down
yeah it'll get slightly slower w each new iPadOS update unfortunately
Pizza yo
