    Ola Strandberg is the first genius guitar maker to come along since Leo Fender. Truly the most innovative guitar to come along in 50 plus years. As for the shape, people just need to adjust their attitude toward the shape.

    the description of the endurneck = incorrect
    it doesn't force you to play with your thumb on the back
    it allows for both styles of thumb placement
    and makes the neck feel thin
    when you want it thin
    and thick when you want it thick

    I own a Gibson Les Paul and two Fender American Strats. My favourite guitar was made in Korea. Your favourite guitar will have nothing to do with the country of origin, but has everything to do with the tone, your bond with the guitar and the story behind it.

    I just wish that their Tele model, the Salen, had a forearm contour. Strandbergs are supposed to be all about ergonomics and I get that to pay tribute to a Tele they omit the forearm contour, but it leaves it uncomfortable to play which sucks because the Salen is my favorite shape from strandberg. Also the endurneck for six strings so so comfortable.

    I was having some nasty tendonitis a few months back around finals season to the point where if I played for 15 minutes, my hands would be useless for the rest of the day. I basically didn't play at all for two months because I had papers and exams to write. I picked up a Strandy Classic 6 and the day I got it I played for 3 hours straight - no straining, no tension, no pain.

    It is a beautifully designed guitar. Yea not your typical Blues guitar for sure! **chuckle** I think it is made to be "driven fast". The stigma behind guitars made in Indonesia is slowly fading away I think and the more RUclipsrs, such as yourself, educate folks on the process it will continue to do so IMHO. Lots of very good guitars already built in the Asian markets now and the manufacturing processes can be done anywhere. Another good video. Thanks!

  • @ksmith752
    @ksmith752 4 года назад +5

    OK wait. $1500 euros for something made in Indonesia. A CNC cut out using less wood than standard. Cost has to be WAY lower. I'm sorry its not about quality anymore when you're paying that much. It has to be reasonable relationship to cost. So a guitar sourced and made in Germany you understand the cost is higher and if you want it you'll pay for it. However if someone makes a guitar for $100 in China don't ask me to pay $800. I don't care if its a tone monster. At those costs you can get a custom guitar made in the US. Check Kiesel website. Way too much guys.
