- Two games of StarCraft 2. In the first one we watch a match where Florencio gets a taste of his own medicine, and in the second one a Protoss player pretends to go AFK at the beginning of the match while building a Nexus on the other side of the map.

32:00 this is beyond insane, he saw THE STARGATE vulnerable to literally ANYTHING, but he instead decided to GO AROUND AND FIGHT THE PHOTON CANONS, this is the greatest mindtrick ever, if you place a comicly large amount of cannons your opponent will think he actually has to fight them.

Already insane game for Jappy. Pretending to be afk and surprisingly attacked his opponent with void rays. What a wonderful surprise, hope to see more viewers games Lowko. Love your content.
he was totally pretending to be afk, he even made a second forge in the main to justify the photon canons
I can't even imagine the emotional roller coaster that SEDFREWORF must have been going through. He was probably sure he has 100% won, from slight annoyance that his opponent isn't GGing, to relief when it's finally done, to surprise when somehow he has not won the game yet, to depression when he actually lost it.
First he faked to be AFK, and by that, his opponent though that he would be really bad at the game.
Afterwards he only put very little effort into his main base, because if he wouldn't, the enemy would easily be suspicious.
What an brilliant strategy 👏
Never just assume your opponent is bad always assume they're up to something

I just played a game like this - where the protoss guy said he was going AFK in the middle of the match because his mom just showed up and then tried to max out on carriers. :P

I remember one game of protoss v protoss I played. I pretended to be afk at the start, set up two secret bases, almost won for a bit when the enemy killed one secret base but didn't realize I had another... but then it all sort of fell apart and I ended up leading my opponent on a merry goose chase for like 30 minutes before he finally managed to stop me from building new hidden bases.

I also was eager to view some cool blinking micro at 33:00 and I almost fell of my chair when Lowko said "it's non-existent!", it was too funny
26:55 Jappy's idle probe at his main base was so infuriating to watch the whole game. It was idle ever since after the 2 Adept defense. And what's even more infuriating is how Lowko didn't comment anything on it! LOL
I might be the worst I've seen at StarCraft, but at least I've never died with 5000 resources banked.
And it's always great to Florencio's particular brand of cheese with assorted flavors.
15:04 this is actually super smart. It's the biggest bait I've seen in a long time.
Back in the days I would also pull off fake afks for fun, with a terran you could build a CC and fly it somewhere in the edge of map before the first scout somes, what you opponent will see is you have not built anything, but when he kills everything he still cannot win the match. To add some spice on it you could also switch out to windows and start some CPU heavy apps then your opponent will start lagging as hell, eventully leaves and you win.
What the hell did I just watch?? I seen and played a lot of SC but this vid had me scratching my head and laughing so many times. GG to all participating parties and thanks for the uploads as always Lowko. High quality content right here boiz
I think you should make a vídeo explaining exclusively why is it bad to cannon rush a terran, and all the different ways terrans can defend it.

A lot of people are talking about the blink stalker joke or the florencio game, but remember that in game 2 SEDREWORF sent all 32 probes to the top-right to make a Nexus and just...sat there with his probes because the place was already taken. Wish Lowko saw that.

I disagree, I feel as if both players can learn something from cheesing. And even if you don't learn anything, that doesn't matter as long as both players are having fun. But I guess that's subjective?

Maybe my armchair generalling reveals my lack of savvy, but shouldn't the protoss have transitioned to dark templar when the push with the tank and the widow mines started? It didn't look like the terran had much "spot," and some good distraction with a sacrificial void ray or two would hide the attack from the cloaked unit(s) long enough to take down the siege tank and start work on the widow mines.

That last game was amazing.
So much could have been done with that cannon rush.. it could have been a really good distraction. The cannons at the ramps kept teran busy while warping in unit at the far left pylon.... BUT... I'm no good at SC2 multiplayer so take with a LOT of salt
In the second game, I don't blame the protoss for floating money and not expanding. It's happened to me a couple times, you think the opponent is AFK, then as you go to expand, 7 void rays or 20 chargelots run in and kill you
@GlowyBoi I mean, obviously he was floating more than just the cost of a nexus, but I'm saying that at lower level leagues, people with reasonable build orders might start floating in a situation like that, because while normally at the [X] minute mark, he would be building a nexus, pylon, battery etc., he decided not too because he was scared of what his opponent was doing.

Wow SEDEREWORF gave up too soon. He had 3000 minerals to build cannons with vs just a couple of void rays and an opponent that had no nexus. Granted because his Nexuses were dead too it would be a tough battle, but with 3000 minerals all you have to do is build a few cannons on 2-3 expansions then you've instantly won because whether they split or not they won't have enough fire power to take everything down in time.

Those repeated move clics through the map/opponent army... not something you'd see frequently in diamond 3, nor even platinum ; so I understand the doubts about the league. Maybe the canon rush could've been dangerous to a D3 player though.

As a Zerg player, I always send out a lot of Overlords and a lot of creep so I highly doubt they would have gotten away with that.

Just curious, why is cannon rushing a terran inherently bad compared to other races?
Cannon are stationary, most Terran buildings can fly away to a different location so you can always just relocate you main base to somewhere else if you are terran whereas cannons cannot just relocate
@@Mahons Thanks for the reply, but cannons are relatively cheap, so won't the terran lose so much more minerals in mining time from relocating their cc?
