I'm struggling to gel with my manticore as well, lol. I prefer the way the Deus 2 finds hammered targets. It seems to give a better signal on the D2 and a Deep HC. The D2 is a lot deeper in my opinion.
The D2 is a deep machine no doubt but the manticore has suprised me with depth on some targets. The audio is also strong and get you ear in with it and it doesn’t miss much, I need to explore high square more on the D2 but I enjoy the full tones as so much info in there. Good luck👍
hello from France, what do you think of the manticore compared to other detectors on the market, thank you for the videos, do you consider it equal to deus 2? in terms of performance? Thank you for your answer
Hi nicolasszymanski7471, the manticore has strong audio and like the equinox has the ability to uncover some tough targets. I remember people telling me I need a nox for pasture and deus for plough and iron but I’ve found some tough targets in iron with the minelab machines, sensitivity is your friend. All the top end machines are very close in terms of performance and the real edge can be found on coins on edge or unmasking, depth etc. Then D2 is very versatile with max frequency adjustments and the audio options but the real winner is the user selecting the right land doing the homework and a good dose of luck. Yes I would consider the manticore to be equal to the D2, it has uncovered some very interesting targets in iron and at depth. Thanks and happy hunting 😊
I Love D2, xp have different audio, but in squre and high squre gives you cleaner audio like a manticore. But on celtics, small silver coins , bronze fibulas is D2 great machine, also great depth .
Yes the high square is a stronger audio for depth and stopping you, but it can be hard on the ear. I found a tiny fragment of a saxon coin with the D2 with full tones, it’s a lovey machine to use, thanks XPDeus1.2😊
Why did you stop using the D2? Is it too unstable in the Roman area? I've got both the Manticore and D2. I find the Manticore copes better myself, but perhaps that's my settings.
Hi @mikesmith, I’m going back over some fields with the manticore that I’ve done a lot with the D2 to see how it handles the ground. The D2 is more stable everywhere apart from high emi areas, the manticore feels a more open machine when you crank it up a bit and I’ve had a few clear signals in iron that have suprised me. This is my second manticore and I’m struggling to gel with it unlike my first one which I got on well with, might be the new update who knows but one day it’s a beast and other days I struggle with it. Thanks👍
@@cliveabbey5786 sometimes that works but overall the manticore is in a different league when it comes to emi, I can swing directly under powerlines with the manti and no chance with the D2, cheers

Very nice comparison thanks for your time buddy.
Thanks @diggingforgold4150👍

If you could only have one of them which one would you chose.
Regards Al.
Hi Al, very tough to decide between them, right now I couldn’t choose. The wife comes along sometimes so we need two machines.. thanks
Deus 2 any day
Interesting video using two good detectors what part of the country do you detect. Len
Hi Len thanks, we are in the midlands👍
Great vid thanks for posting.
No worries ohiofredl😊
Got the equinox 800. Some tempting machines there. Best wishes.
Nowt wrong with the equinox! Still probably the deepest machine I’ve used on small hammered, thanks detectingdaft😊
Why are you running the D2 so high
@@TonyFirbank come to my fields😃👍 works for me
Hello sir is dues2 or manticore good??
Hi, can't go wrong with either!
Hello sir, which device is better???
Hi, Both..are you a minelab or xp fan?
And D2 on speaker from RC habe worse audio, headphones are much better an cleaner
Totally agree there👍
Why is the D2 so noisy
That's horrible
Hi @Urge38, there are huge power lines running through the field and in one area the D2 is unusable in MF, the manticore 100% handles emi better
Just drop the sensitivity on the deus and do a frequency shift to eliminate emi.
