That's not a rat, rats have very thick tails. That ones tail looks thin, so it is a mouse.
And the cat was probably saying, 'let me out guys, i will catch it for you'.

There are several who write that it is a rat, I also believe that it is a rat. Hard to see on film what it is, but I thought it looked relatively large as well. The tail was long, the rat's tail is as long as its body. I live on a sheep farm, so I'm used to seeing both rats and mice. If you have rats in the house, contact your insurance company. They can help you find a pest control company, or they have their own.

a mouse only needs an opening of 7 millimeters to crawl through. Think it won't be the last one with the cold weather 😅

Luckily so far it was the only one running loose inside, we have put out mouse traps as well. -Nathan

Dags att sätta ut råttfällor. Vi bor ute i skogen och tömmer fällor i stort sätt varje dag. Det har varit mycket möss iår.

”- I hope there is only one… ”. A mouse becomes sexually mature already after 35 days and a female often has 4‒6 litters a year with up to 6 young in each litter. Under favorable conditions, a new litter can be born every fifty days. The house mouse reproduces at a rapid rate. The female is pregnant for 18‒21 days. Just saying 😂 live on the country side in Sweden as well, so trust me you don’t want them in the house! Love your vlog keep up the great job you two are doing and welcome to Sweden 💕

When living in the Swedish countryside mice and rats is someting you while have learn to deal whit. The one you had is a forest mouse. Unfortunately you while have to kill the rodents or they while break your health and house. I get it you are city people and have no experience dealing whit the problem , personally i have lived all my life in the Swedish countryside and it is someting that you have to get yous to. No mater if you have one or ten cats they while not solve the problem.
