Pretty cool 👍 I'm still playing through a 1977 Fender Twin Reverb I purchased brand new! As for the Marshall sound, I picked up a Marshall 1987x and run it though a 2x12" Bluesbreaker cab. I'm playing through both at the same time, Twin Reverb is my wet signal, the Marshall is my dry with all that Marshall goodness. I'll say this, your Tonemaster gets the tone more than close enough and is a heck of a lot easier to transport. Thanks for the Demo, much appreciated.
Has some really nice tones, still sounds like a fender to me but it does kind of sound like a Marshall. I was a little confused at first since this is a modeling amp but it models I believe only the Fender amp. Most modeling amps will have different amp brands in there but Fender Choose to model one of their best amps and make it more affordable and in the process lighter. I can say it sounds really good. The future of music is going to be great as modeling gets better and we will be able to get any amp sounds out of our computers with any cabinet we want. Early modeling amps which sounded pretty decent did not take into account the different cleaned up voicing when rolling back the volume knob. You did some nice playing on there Wayne.
Distortion - yes. Marshall - no. I know my Fenders and I know my Marshall’s. Eyes closed it’s got that Fender brightness all through the mods, upper mods and high end. Think Ted Nugent. That’s closer to a Ted type of distortion - sounds pretty damn good if that’s your bag, but it does not sound Marshall like to my ears at all. In any event, why try pulling Marshall tones from a Fender Tone Master? Full disclosure: I don’t like Tonemaster amps at all. I don’t care for the look, concept, sound at all.
