    I could not agree more with the statement of "Operating a boat means more than just getting in and turning a key." I have many customers that buy boats and have absolutely no boating knowledge. This video does a good job of showing the basics to boating.

    Good info. I’m gonna finally buy my boat, LORD willing and I’m trying to gain some knowledge. Never operated a boat but I’m gonna do it! Thanks

      Best advice I can give anyone new to boating is, whenever docking or operating around docks, go “Slow Like a Pro”.
      Once near dock shift into neutral & drift a second to see which way the wind & which way the current will move your boat.
      I’m a proud owner of a Boston Whaler 210 Dauntless & boat the St. Clair River between Lake Huron & Lake St. Clair.

    Dude forgot to tell me about putting in the drain plug before I launched. Parked my car and walked back to a sunk boat at the ramp. Is BoatCourse going to pay me for my loss?

    I always follow this rule, the person with most expensive boat gets first launch ramp rights,

    • @officialWWM
      @officialWWM 5 лет назад

      Why?

    • @JennetPreston
      @JennetPreston 5 лет назад +3

      @@officialWWM Because we've all been socialized to think that the people with the best toys are the most deserving people. Depending on our core beliefs, we believe they're harder working, smarter, and/or more divinely favored than other people, and we believe such things because we don't understand how the wealth that buys those expensive boats is really acquired. So we simper in the owners' presence and say "after you, sir" and hope they leave a trace of their magic on the boat launch for us, rather than working together toward a more equal, more just society--say, one that operates on a first-come-first-launch basis.
