I spent a year snaking logs by mules in the late 1960's, one day the man who owned the property bought a new 310 Case dozer. We fought to use the dozer which was a big improvement over the mules. Since then I fell in love with heavy equipment.
I wish we knew the history and lives these old machines lived, the things they've helped to build, the people that operated them. Its so incredible to know that some of these machines helped build our country. Most of the new stuff it is just shit and abused, but the stuff that's 60+ years old. man, the history. Love it!
We had a Cat 320C excavator that had over 28,000 hours on it when 9 years ago, it was in need of it's 3rd undercarriage but was still a great operating and decent looking machine. They'll go and last forever if you take care of them.
running a cat 320dl right now as we speak with a hammer with 18k hours. 18,806 to be exact. i hate running any hammer and the seat needs replacing but the machine itself doesnt burn even an ounce of oil its strong as when new and still is nice. we run it in a recycling facility in our concrete recycling area and it takes a beating but it runs like a top only thing it needs is the track adjusting cylinder on one side which is on order and scheduled to be done.
Chris, For me there was a wow moment. At about the 24:00 mark you guys are checking out a wheel loader with Clark on it. I recognized it immediately as the Clark's were next door neighbors to one of my best friends growing up. That loader originally was in the Lansing Michigan area.
That 313 with the long frame and wide tracks is what you need for your dredging jobs. Should just about get you out to the deep spots before sinking. ;-) Then you'd get to make another video digging it out. =)
Until recently I had a JD350C track loader (sold it to move out of state) and that thing was really handy to have around the farm... small enough to get into smaller places to feed and such... big enough to move most anything you'd reasonably need to. Not a commercial machine per se' but a handy tool.
You can tell a piece of equipment is big when instead of a gland nut at the top of the cylinder it has a bolt flange. That CAT track loader is pretty massive.
Glad you showed the little JD350. There used to be a couple of guys around here that used a track loader/backhoe for land clearing. I haven't seen any since I was a kid.
Talking 'crocks' there were some amongst that lot and not so bad too. Love watching you all having a relaxing fun time. Thanks for sharing some of your vacation.
That big Cat loader went for only $10K. Clint said that shipping back to Indiana might be abt $5K. A feller could sink a lot of money into that machine and still come out ahead.
Hi from uk chris and all👍👋 great to see you when you guys collaborate with each and mike @ dp trying to find choke on the"" hemi"" swapped electric cart 😂😂😂 you guys kill me 😂😂😂 and that 375a is huge old girl👍!!!! That would build a range no problem (in fact customers 1st complaint would be to complain range to big by accident😂😂😂) and cat pc800lc huge too @19000 hrs🤔 well maintaned goes long way thanks for this chris hope alls well up farm 👍 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Cat was smoking like a locomotive. Wipers no windshield? Air up the tires and its a winner. Did you crazy guys start every machine? "but they served rice with it" funny. A lot of laughs and good weather for a road trip.
I drove a d9 when I was around 16 for my grandfather at tilcon gravel pushing trees and pulling them out it was so bad ass .... he ran a cat 785c hauling at tilcon for like 30 years I used to ride along with him when I was like 5 to 8 every now and then my mother said the first time I went there my eyes popped outa my head and I had a smile for a month lolol
My father had a John deere Caterpillar 420 for logging, where the backhoe is at, my father and his good friend made a boom for the back of the top of the cat and put a steel pulley on the end of the boom and then they put a smaller pulley closer to the back of the cat, and then put a winch on it for winching logs
716 liebherr same as a Deere 700k that decel pedal was in creep mode you can switch it back and forth. They will push circles around a 700k but their extremely complicated machines. The down stroke on the lift cylinders seemed a bit short to me. Tried and 716 and a 726 last summer I’ll stick with a Deere.
Hey Chris it's the same size dose of my grandpa drove when he did road construction he's a dozer to build roads in Indiana my grandpa's didn't go now but it's what he did for a long time I remember sitting on his lap on one of the dozers like that lp
I wish I knew who got that 983 crawler, I got one that runs and operates good but gets a little bit of water in the oil so it don't get used now so it would be a great parts for that one , those machines are cheap high production machines but parts are getting harder to find . This one has a rake that goes on in place of the bucket . Will as a parts machine
Hey Chris !!! Did you find a ""KW"" tractor & ""RGN"" lowboy for John as you'll need it if you keep getting this ""OL"" school stuff to get away from the ""DEF "" problems of the ""NEW "" stuff !! HAHA Thanks for the Walk around with Mike & C&C !!!!
7:34 it might be big but it takes 10 seconds for it to lift an empty bucket... hmmmmm 40:28 that's not a dozer, that's a freight train on tracks! Holy crap what a monster!
The beeping in the JCB was a distress call by the machine in protest at DP jumping in the seat. The Komatsu at 41:30 is no good for DP, he would take a month to change a track even with MBTS helping out (and probably burn up the crane doing it).
The big scoop dozer looks like a sand machine. Hard to say. The Fix-it-up junker - with double size holes for pins - wonder if that bucket worked on that machine and was just put on it. ?
At 43:49 min. I've been wondering when you might get on of these long armed dudes. In most of the video's I've watched for some time know, I could see what I thought was that one of these would really be of use.
That 313 has nothing on some of the excavators they use out near the inner banks of NC, you'll see a 18-25t machine with the stretched undercarriage, super wide tracks and then the whole undercarriage will be twice as far apart as a normal excavator just to reduce pressure. It's almost like they stuck an excavator top on a marsh tracker
Oh my gawd hahahaha that excavator was rode hard and put away dry lolol I bet you that was left somewhere and someone got it running after years of sitting and was gonna use it .... until they did and they said auction lllllololol
I spent a year snaking logs by mules in the late 1960's, one day the man who owned the property bought a new 310 Case dozer. We fought to use the dozer which was a big improvement over the mules. Since then I fell in love with heavy equipment.
I spent many hours as a young man running a 450 Loader / backhoe. Just seeing that 350 brings back memories!
Really appreciate that you've taken the time to record and post these equipment auctions!👍

I enjoy your auction videos. Checking out the equipment and sharing your experience with us. Oh, you and DP hamming it up is funny too!
You dorks having fun are cool to watch together. You especially keep the humor going.
Would’ve been interesting to see you guys with Diesel Creek and Mr Camarata tagging along.
Was hoping the 983 was going to follow you home, show Betty how she’s supposed to work
Given the naming convention he's been using, it should be Bam-Bam.
I just imagine since Chris bought the D6 that Betty is going to be fixed and sold. JS. LOL

I'm making $1000 a day running an early 80's 450c dozer. Pulled in $20k in the last 3 months. I love my old Deere
So many curious machines.🤔 What a site that is.🙂 Thanks for sharing Chris.😉 Be well.
It's JCB.. Will be an electrical fault, they're built with them I reckon 😂😂
You can tell a piece of equipment is big when instead of a gland nut at the top of the cylinder it has a bolt flange. That CAT track loader is pretty massive.
Love the collab videos. Hope to see more.
They are fun....and they are having fun. 😁
Oldies but Goodies had a great time! 💪🏼
You 3 together has got to a riot to be around.
Glad you showed the little JD350. There used to be a couple of guys around here that used a track loader/backhoe for land clearing. I haven't seen any since I was a kid.
That was fun & very enjoyable, Thank you for sharing.. Got to see 3 of my favorite you tubbers all at once..
The track loader at 5:00 was from a coal operation. pretty good chance the engine is dusted seeing the smokey engine exhaust.
It's great to see you guys get along as yall do
A man had one just like this Clark loader, he had a debarker company and they used it for loading trucks with bark.
Talking 'crocks' there were some amongst that lot and not so bad too. Love watching you all having a relaxing fun time. Thanks for sharing some of your vacation.
It would have been cool to hear what you guys thought each of these goodies was worth
And I quote...."Operator my ass here" .....LMAO 🤣
Great video 👍👍 kids and their toys.
Been watching over 10 years and These auction videos you put out are hands down my favorite.
That big Cat loader went for only $10K. Clint said that shipping back to Indiana might be abt $5K. A feller could sink a lot of money into that machine and still come out ahead.

These auction videos are classics. Like Christmas, you never know what you will find!
Nice stuff, really nice stuff! 😍
Cat was smoking like a locomotive. Wipers no windshield? Air up the tires and its a winner. Did you crazy guys start every machine?
"but they served rice with it" funny. A lot of laughs and good weather for a road trip.
Love the Detroit in the old loader.
Nooooooooooo, you forgot the cranes! That little teaser at the end almost gave me hope.
Most impressive?
The 19,000 hour Komat'su near the end. Someone looked after that machine properly.
I wonder if it had a job loading barges with sand or something that was steady but low impact.
Since I subscribe to all three of the channels I get to see these machines from three different perspectives! :D
Ever heard of the loin king
Yea
They serve rice with it 🤣😂🤣😂
Those machines are so pretty!!!!
... a good time was had by all ,more great toys..lol..keep safe
Hey, Chris. I am glad i got to meet you at the Yoder & Frey Auction and it was nice to talk to you. Your friend from cold Michigan !!!!!
Good video of the auction. Looking at all that equipment and trying to figure out what good and not would drive me nuts.
It's a Scon! 😆 🤣 😂
Big kids, Big toys!! Looks like you all had fun
14:36 When that key was pulled out...I fell out laughing.
Great video guys enjoyed the ride
That pc800 was taken care of pretty good for the amount of hours it has.
Looks like you had fun!
I've loaded many pieces of equipment both going to and from RB yard sales.🤔😉
Enjoyed this Chris it seems like you and other
Guy had some fun thanks
My father had a John deere Caterpillar 420 for logging, where the backhoe is at, my father and his good friend made a boom for the back of the top of the cat and put a steel pulley on the end of the boom and then they put a smaller pulley closer to the back of the cat, and then put a winch on it for winching logs

Great video Chris 🇺🇲 I have really enjoyed the equipment action and looking at the equipment with DP C&C D B 🇺🇲
It's a Scone! 😆 🤣 😂
Glad to hear old Dirt Perfect bought the offroad truck, I just hope the coolant conditions not a bad sign.
Didn't know anything like that auction with acres of equipment existed. Very informative! Enjoyed the video very much! Blessings and be safe.
I believe it’s a Ritchie Bros. auction. There was a TV series on them a few years ago. They move massive quantities of equipment.
I've been a fan of his videos for a long time now, he never disappoints!
I think "our Chris' would make a good after dinner speaker.
Interesting stuff on this one. Thanks Chris!
That dozer was massive, a couple of passes with that thing and the pond would be done
These funny chats are the best! Nice and impressive machines there!
I ran a case long track dozer and a track loader years ago, that was a learning experience ! Lol
Looks like I nice upgrade for the 977 👌
Nice 983 !!! but they could have done it justice with a straight Exhaust and painted Silver !!
Hey Chris it's the same size dose of my grandpa drove when he did road construction he's a dozer to build roads in Indiana my grandpa's didn't go now but it's what he did for a long time I remember sitting on his lap on one of the dozers like that lp
1:04, that beeping sounds like a GPS sensor located on the boom arm.
Know what I think is neat is those 360 track dumps or rotators such a ingenious idea someone made money of it for sure
I wish I knew who got that 983 crawler, I got one that runs and operates good but gets a little bit of water in the oil so it don't get used now so it would be a great parts for that one , those machines are cheap high production machines but parts are getting harder to find . Those 983s were beasts....You have to see one in person to really appreciate its size
That big Komatsu dozer would be a load to transport :-)
JCB or Just Continues Beeping.
Okay that track backhoe was stylin!
Chris thanks for sharing! Kevin
Looks like a big playground for you guys.
16:40 that’s actually sounds mint
dirt perfect needs that big komatsu dozer for ponds
Hey Chris !!! Did you find a ""KW"" tractor & ""RGN"" lowboy for John as you'll need it if you keep getting this ""OL"" school stuff to get away from the ""DEF "" problems of the ""NEW "" stuff !! HAHA Thanks for the Walk around with Mike & C&C !!!!
7:34 it might be big but it takes 10 seconds for it to lift an empty bucket... hmmmmm
40:28 that's not a dozer, that's a freight train on tracks! Holy crap what a monster!
I THINK YOU COULD DRIVE THROUGH A BUILDING WITH THAT SUCKER !
That was fun 👍
The beeping in the JCB was a distress call by the machine in protest at DP jumping in the seat. The Komatsu at 41:30 is no good for DP, he would take a month to change a track even with MBTS helping out (and probably burn up the crane doing it).
I’ve got a JD 450C dozer and would really like to have a 450C track loader with a 4n1 and backhoe for the farm.
I love my 450C with rippers here in northern California.
The big scoop dozer looks like a sand machine. Hard to say. The Fix-it-up junker - with double size holes for pins - wonder if that bucket worked on that machine and was just put on it. ?
More noise coming from the German valve train than the exhaust pipe! Wow
Yep what you need
Awesome 👍👍👍
I always enjoy watching his content.
Those long wide pads would be good for Chris for mud dredging.
Sounds so good straight lolol
983 were used a lot to move slag in the steel mills seen many
Great video bro. Getting some good footage from you and Clint from these auctions as they are on a scale we never see down here in NZ. Safe travels
I did own a 350-B dozer and regret selling it it was a nice machine for what it was
That one big betty.
You can knock a hole in the ground with something like that quick pretty quick
At 43:49 min. I've been wondering when you might get on of these long armed dudes. In most of the video's I've watched for some time know, I could see what I thought was that one of these would really be of use.
you have to straight pipe your haul truck.....that thing sounded mint
Big boys in a candy store ! 🤣🤣🤣
When it comes to keys size matters!
those leiber dozers i dono they look solid
The ONLy way I can see owning a 983 is if you own a mountain of dirt and need s loader you can leave in one place.,
Walked by the 3100 gradall and didn’t even test drive lol
That 313 has nothing on some of the excavators they use out near the inner banks of NC, you'll see a 18-25t machine with the stretched undercarriage, super wide tracks and then the whole undercarriage will be twice as far apart as a normal excavator just to reduce pressure. Oh my gawd hahahaha that excavator was rode hard and put away dry lolol I bet you that was left somewhere and someone got it running after years of sitting and was gonna use it .... until they did and they said auction lllllololol
45:40 i really wish they'd buy an excavator like this lol! ik itd be expensive and to transport it but man would it get the job done quickly
