Loved this video. Im not a mechanic so I'm a bit lost with some things that i think all mechanics know and just move on with. Things like; 5v referece (why 5v? And reference to what exactly?) Why and how electrical signal represents temperature or pressure. Inches of water? Mercury? But i guess going into that would slow the video down too much and would be too elementary. Either way, fantastic video! Everytime he makes the turbo sound I immediately smash the like button.
Your cricket apprentice makes more noise than the air compressor. But fantastic diagnosis always the best info on what to look for in vehicle repairs 👍👍
So nice you didn't hafta chase that wire all the way thru the vehicle. This should buy the owner a few years of peace until that tiny turbo blows itself to bits.
Cut the other black with green wire. Connect the 2 together, maybe with another length of wire. Use those handy dandy connectors with adhesive and shrink wrap and neon blue color. Who needs the connection feature anyways? It's what I'd do.
Flew to Vegas for a wedding. Purchased a rust free 2013 Equinox with the huge 2.4! Expected to have to add oil driving it back to Minnesota. Nope! It didn't live up to the GMs 2.4 of oil consumption! Oh, 174,000+ miles on it! Had to remove a wheel bearing. Removed the bolts and pulled it off by my hands! Getting 29 MPG combined.
I amazes me that so few people go to the trouble of chasing down these wire problems. It helps to have the quality tools to find where to look but I'm sure most shops have the sophisticated scan tools.

That is darn good pic and description of connector locations!
Had to turn up the volume to hear ya while I searched for that damn cricket in my basement. Good stuff, as always.
Ahhh another Good Old Buick Needs repair Nice GM making us all money 😂 Good to see another video Eric O 0:05 @South Main Auto Repair LLC
In comparison to (every?!) car you've shown on the channel - this has GOT to have the mintiest under carriage!!!
I don't know what's louder the cricket, lawnmower man or that fire alarm siren!
The train!
😂👍🏼
Loved this video. Im not a mechanic so I'm a bit lost with some things that i think all mechanics know and just move on with. Things like;
5v referece (why 5v? And reference to what exactly?)
Why and how electrical signal represents temperature or pressure. Inches of water? Mercury?
But i guess going into that would slow the video down too much and would be too elementary.
Either way, fantastic video!
Everytime he makes the turbo sound I immediately smash the like button.
Your skills are second to none. Great video as always. Aaron from Canada.
Thanks for the Harbor Freight scanner demonstration.
No fire and brimstone from the pastor for you Eric! Good man 🫡
You are the master of your craft!
Keep up the excellent work!!!
Good job... and no, if you can do it, not all of us can do it!
Ivan got me hooked on common denominators... You're getting me hooked on that T10
I'm loving your movie quotes more than normal
The silly turbo noise you do gets me every time.
Every time you mention gm...
I hear crickets! 💯🗽🇺🇸
I amazes me that so few people go to the trouble of chasing down these wire problems. It helps to have the quality tools to find where to look but I'm sure most shops have the sophisticated scan tools.
The service data is Motor E-Tech....they made a version to sell tech companies to bake into scan tools. For the money while not the most intuitive and yes the search engine sucks 300 bucks a year is super cheap. Planning to get a t10 with data as soon as my E-Tech contract is up
Hire a Cricket assassin! 😅
@@vicferrarisgarage praying mantis to the rescue!
Love your work Eric , you need to up your rates for this type of work , lm in western Australia 🇦🇺 and I was charged $175 an hour for a very green guy to come out to site to put his computer on my cat skid steer after three attempts of trying to calibrate the throttle motor I asked if he had adjusted the throttle linkage to spec before attempting calibration 💡 ended up with a $700 invoice and I had to tell him how to do the job correctly
