Wow, I think in all honesty, Dirk may be Megadeth’s best drummer to date. He is so precise and clean with his drumming, it’s amazing
Dirk, Hoglan, Haake and Tom Hunting (Exodus) are the best extreme metal drummers in my own opinion.

This is Dirks true drumming style. It just doesn't sound right what he does with soilwork. Sounds like he holds back alot. Scarve rules!

Gojia vibe almost?
Except this was way before Gojira sounded remotely like this. From 2005 and on there are quite some comparisons between Scarve and Gojira (imho), obviously both French and phenomenal drummers, but also this typical "massive" groovy metal sound. I believe Scarve definitely inspired Gojira at some point
