Best Maiden song not written by Maiden...Miyako's tapping through the choruses is a thing of beauty!
I distinctly remember this song from their Battle Against Damnation Tour show in June 2018, which I saw live. It followed the standard "Awakening" intro and it was blazing. Miyako said at the time that she was not happy with her performance at the previous full-set show they'd done, in Feb., and she really let it rip.
This is a tribute song and hommage to Iron Maiden's "Aces High". Quite powerful!
Asami crushing it on this one. This is one of my favorite Lovebites songs.
The vocal phrasing on this one is great and, i suspect, tough.
Really tough! One line says "losing my breath", but I never saw any real-life manifestation of that from Asami. How she does it, I'll never know!

I tell you what after seeing so many reactors doing Lovebites there is no other better than being here watching you get blown away every single time. So many greats that I watched over the years these ladies have got to be one of the greatest bands in the rock world as far as writing and composing songs as well as performing these high-caliber songs. I know I have listened to all of the songs well over a thousand times I never get tired of listening to each song because each and every time there is something new I hear that didn't catch before.

The Crusade" is a homage to "Iron Maiden - Aces High".
The lead track, "The Crusade," is a respectful tribute to British heavy metal, which the girls experienced in November 2017 when they performed at an event in the UK and toured London.
The Crusade" is the lead track of their mini-album "Battle Against Damnation" (released in June 2018).
In an interview for a magazine project, both Asami and Haruna said that they had to be the most enthusiastic of the LOVEBITES list at the time to be able to sing and play all the way through.
Today, there are many more difficult songs than this one.

As others have mentioned, this was a tribute to Iron Maiden, modelled after Aces High. But frankly, the ladies are like a bullet train, compared to an old-time steam engine. So freaking fast and clean. Amazing.
There's no frankly. Speed is simply a choice. They choose to prioritise speed and power metal. if you check out Iron Maiden's "somewhere in Time", that's easily as or more intricate than what lovebites do; They wanted to step into power metal for an album, then Steve Harris decided to step out strip down - there's nothing unattainable about the intricacy.Check out Adrian Smith latest collaboration with Kotzen and the guitar work is also as intricate as lovebites, and more original for the genres shaped with
