Hi Cambry! Thank you for watching my video and for giving such positive feedback! I really appreciate it! For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thanks again! Enjoy your day! 😊
Hi Andy! Thank you for watching my video! Yes, I agree with you. APA hotels are a good option especially if you are travelling on a budget. The rooms are comfortable enough at reasonable prices. For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thanks again for watching! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! :)
Hi Kathleen! Thank you so much for watching this video as well! I really appreciate it! I am glad that my video has helped you decide on which hotel to stay in. I hope you enjoy your trip to Japan! Thanks again! :)
I stayed at a couple of APA hotels on my first trip to Japan. I knew they were going to be small, but it's hard to imagine how small until you are in the room. The bathroom is as tight as an airplane lavatory. Since then, I pay a few more dollars to stay in a larger, more upscale room. Like most hotels in Japan, the rooms are clean, quiet, and safe so if you're not claustrophobic and on a budget, then you may find this chain acceptable. The Gracery Hotel, in the background walking on the street in the beginning at 1:30, is the tall building with blue horizontal lighting, and the Godzilla statue on the 8th floor is much more upscale. The bed area is fairly small, but the bathrooms are very spacious which makes the room seem a lot larger. The location is really nice, in the heart of Kabukicho, just steps from the food court and entertainment areas at the new Kabuchiko Tower which is very new, the Toho movie theaters on the first few floors of the Gracery Hotel building, and too many restaurants to count.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching my video and for giving such valuable insights! I really appreciate it! I am sure other travellers would find your feedback very useful too! Yes, I agree with you. Most rooms in budget business hotels in Japan are really small where even opening a big luggage would be a challenge. But yeah, as you said, it is still a good option for those travelling on a budget. The location is really nice especially if you want to be in the center of Shinjuku's happening place. There are a lot of food options and many shops to explore too. And as you said, there are other hotel options in the area which are more spacious and would be suited for travellers who have a bigger budget. For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thank you so much again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)
Hi John! Thank you so much for watching my video and for appreciating my work! For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Hi! Thank you for watching my video! Yes, APA hotels are a good option when in Japan, especially if you are traveling on a budget. I haven't had the chance to stay in an APA hotel in Shibuya though, but I am sure it is also in a good location. Shibuya is a great area to stay in so you definitely made a wise decision! For more useful travel videos, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thanks again for watching! Have fun in Tokyo! :)
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, yes, I think I remember seeing the Apple Town magazine during our recent stays in APA hotel. However, I am not sure if there was that Japanese Revisionist History book. I would have to check that out the next time I will stay in an APA hotel. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your day! :)
Hi William! Thank you for watching my video! Yes, I agree with you. The Kabukicho square seems a bit cleaner before. Unfortunately, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, more and more people have been getting drunk there, leaving empty cans and trash all over. The other parts of Tokyo remain very clean though. For more videos on Japan, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. Thanks again! 😊
is the breakfast buffet seen here quiet standard/ similar across many APA 3 star hotels in tokyo? How long can you sit in the breakfast room? I usually need at least 45-60 min to have my breakfast and coffee.
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, yes, based on my experience, the breakfast of this hotel is of standard quality and I would assume is similar across most APA hotels in Japan. There was no time limit given so I think you can stay and have your breakfast here until their breakfast service ends. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your trip! 😊
Very Good Video. You gave a lot of details. Thank You Very Much. At the end of the video you showed the express check out bins. Do you really simply just put your card in there and leave? I have always checked out with a live person at the front counter. I'm going to Japan for the first time next month and just figuring things out
Hi Jaymeez! Thank you for watching my video and for giving such wonderful feedback! I really appreciate it! With regards to your query, yes, checking-out using the express check-out bins is one option for guests, especially if there are queues at the front desk and you don't want to wait in line anymore. Otherwise, you can also check-out using the machines, or even with a person at the counter. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! Have fun in your trip! 😊
Hi Cecil! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, unfortunately no, the hotel does not have a 12-hr stay. You can still check-in early morning though. To be sure, just email and inform the hotel in advance that you are checking-in the next day already. The cost would still be for a one-night stay though. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are having a nice day! :)
Hi again Arvin! Yes of course, you will be perfectly fine in Tokyo. Basic English is widely spoken and understood in Tokyo, and there are English signs almost everywhere. A lot of tourists who visit Japan don't speak Japanese as well, and I know a lot of solo travellers who enjoy their visit even to the rural areas, so I am sure you will also enjoy it. 😊
Hi Mo! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, depending on the body size, I think two slim people can sleep on the bed. However, please note though that hotels in Japan are quite strict with regards to the number of people staying in the rooms. This particular room in the video is only a single room so the hotel would only allow one person to stay in the room. You might be charged for an extra person if two people will show up for a single room. For two persons, you may wish to check their double or twin rooms. I have a new uploaded video showing their twin room. You may want to also check it out. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your day! :)
@wheretonext1190 thank you for your response, really appreciate it! Due to your message, ive decided to look for a double for october 😁 Sorry for asking you again, but I've read so many negative reviews about this hotel. At first glimpse looks great! (Especially the location). However, I read that many find it too small (suitcase doesnt fit in a double room), filthy (mold), too hot, loud noises, complaints etc. However I was so excited!! Could you maybe share your experience with me? Thank you would reallt appreciate it and sorry for asking.
Hi again! With regards to your questions, please note that the location of this hotel is in Tokyo's red light district. Especially in the evenings, there would be drunk and even homeless people in the square right in front of the hotel. Yes, maybe it could be noisy for some if you happen to stay there when people are a bit loud. But I have stayed here twice already, and personally, I didn't find it noisy at all. It was perfectly quiet in my room. I also felt safe even if I would walk in the middle of the crowd outside the hotel. Cleaners normally come early in the morning so the trash at night are gone in the morning. As with molds, maybe there are a few here and there, depending on the room that would be assigned to you, but it wasn't as bad that it would bother me. As for the room size, rooms in Japan are generally all small. For my single room, I was able to open my big luggage by the door. I just need to close it when not in use so that I could use the door. During winter and early spring, most hotels in Japan do not use the aircon. Or if they do, it would be on heater mode. So some guests may find it a bit hot inside the room. You can request for a small electric fan though if you wish. Since your visit to Tokyo is still in October, what I suggest is just choose and book several hotels for now that have free cancellation. You still have a long time to research and choose so no need to rush. Just book hotels now and when you have finally decided, just cancel the rest. I have a few more hotel videos coming up so hopefully they could also help you decide. I hope I was able to help you. Good luck on your trip! 😊
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, I think it is just a matter of personal preference. Some may see the beds as firm but others may find them comfortable enough. Based from my own experiences in several APA hotels across Japan, the beds are comfortable enough and comparable to beds of other business hotels. I also know a lot of friends (and family) who are regular guests of APA hotels and I have never heard of any complaints from them pertaining to the beds. So yeah, as I have said, I guess it is really just a matter of personal preference. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! :)
Hi Richard! Thank you for watching my video and for giving such positive feedback! I really appreciate it. With regards to your query, most hotels in Japan charge depending on the number of people staying. A twin room for example, which has 2 single beds, can be booked by just one person, and charged for one person. You would pay a slightly higher price (not necesarily double the price) if two persons would use it. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you have fun in your trip to Japan! 😊
Hi Redha! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, the room in the video is only 11 sqm and so it is relatively a small room. I was able to open a big luggage by the door, but I had to keep it closed when I want to use the door to go in and out of the room. For two large luggages, it will be very tight but you can probably try to fit it in somewhere, standing and unopened of course. The same with the stroller. I don't know how bulky it is even if it is folded, but you can probably try to fit it somewhere. Worse case, you can place it inside the bathtub as temporary storage. Or you can also ask the reception if they can keep your extra luggage and stroller. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! Enjoy your trip! :)
