The nades and down special nerfs cooked my boy
You make Morty look fun, makes me want to try him out more
He’s so fun but struggles a lil now lol.. definitely try him out tho!
Hate what they did with the grenades, his grenade perk is in the mud, still fun but not a good character anymore, he was my main too😪
I’ve been running the hammer perk in 2v2 now, it seems to be a bit better atm. Im gonna keep pushing this character and try to make him work😈

Bro you use to be able to punch the grenade to the person now it goes no where.
Might be fixed in a patch if its part of “inconsistent projectiles”

Spikes, grenades and the snakes have been the most consistent way for me to kill someone at around 120

Heavy on 30 years after I press it and when you try and split the nades they just go the opposite way they got a lot to fix
giving armour to small cahracters... ah so amazing
One cool thing they added to Morty is when u do a normal combo stop after 2 hits then press neutral and he’ll pull out a wip hit the person away and automatically chase in the air and u can do whatever u want after
its really good kill move you can do the whip into up air and its so good or you can spike if you need to theres a ton you can do with that move DONT SLEEP ON IT

Morty definitely struggles a bit more than beta, but the 2xforward attack to neutral attack (whip) bringing you towards enemies makes comboing a little easier since you can follow up with snake gun and 2 side air

Morty feels so much slower now I feel like I can’t connect anymore properly. Thankfully Arya still plays the same
Arya doesn’t have kill potential you have to do sweaty infinite just to get a true kill on her you have to work harder on Arya than you do Morty plus she dies faster than everyone on the game 💀
@@deontookflight317 you just have the learn the moves of her that have the strongest kickback. The moves I prioritize are the roll, stab, and jump swing (left and right) she can die easy so you get punished for playing aggressive but if you play her by countering and timing the enemies she’s really effective still. But she doesn’t control the air anymore cause she has no triple jump, she’s effective near the ground

You know you can press neutral after jab 2 and use a whip that pull you to them for a side air or a spike of they are off map.
Yes. I used a lot in the beta but it feels lil wonky when it pulls me now. Gotta figure out the sweet spot again

If you bring your rock to your grenade and launch it, it will burst into two separate grenades and cover you when they dash in for the trade.
Honestly one of the only useful grenade techs for Morty at this point imo, he also has a downspecial that can be used to break armor. It's only really useful against characters like WW, but still useful enough.
Facts I’ve been using that more now but grenade has to be in the right place. Also how down special breaks armor now? The tether??

I actually bought Morty last night. I think it was really not bad, but I don't like the grenade of Morty.

They need to revert everything, there was nothing wrong with his kit they should have just reclassified him as a mage. If he is supposed to be a bruiser then all his melee needs huge buffs.

@@Wohnn no more jewel, cant stack speed boots, down special doesnt have a shockwave, etc. Plus just the slower speed overall hurts him more than some
