Best Wedding Videographer In The UK Wedding Awards 2020/2021 - Philip London

So pleased to have won the 'Best Wedding Videographer' in the UK Wedding Awards, Plus win TWIA (The Wedding Industry Awards) in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2020 for East England. Here are some of my methods and thoughts on recording your big day.
When people ask what makes a good wedding film, obviously, it's capturing the day and capturing the emotions, and you've spent a lot of money on the day. Immediately after the wedding all that you are going to have is your photos and your video, and the flowers might last a week. But slowly over time your memories are going to fade.
I think as well as that now, the wedding videography is moving to a level that follows on from the photography that it's not just video journalism, but it's also about flattering the couple "and making people look good" with lighting and composition and a little guidance every now and then. It sounds a bit vain, but we've all probably taken a selfie and the first thing we do when we see a picture of ourselves is critique it, and there's a million things, and if anyone of those things doesn't look good then you aren't going to think it is a great shot of yourself. To me on the day the most important thing is your vows to each other, and I think sometimes people can get wrapped up in their chair covers and small details..... and forget that the day is actually about you as a couple and your love for each other and your families love for you.
I'll come home from a wedding, and I'll be listening to the speeches and vows, and listening for the parts where people are talking from the heart and not just reading something out and it's that emotion combined with the music, and timed with the music, that I think gives the backbone to the wedding film. When you are looking for a wedding videographer it's important to find somebody that has those skills, as well as capturing the important moments, has the skills to make you look your best and make the day look its best.-
