The 28 and the medcalf covers it all. Stop making new packs, I'm broke 😵‍💫

What I like about these packs, is that the pack slides out and away from the frame, allowing the heavier meat to be close to the body. But still being able to utilize the pack normally. I think it's a crucial feature that the Eberlestock M5 RMEF TEAM ELK pack is missing.

I bought the Eberlestock M5 a few years ago and loved the layout and the features. Packed a weekend backpacking trip’s worth of gear, about 35 lbs total pack weight. Immediately noticed how the pack was constantly pulling me backwards. Hated wearing it all weekend long. I couldn’t imagine a 60-100 lbs meat load out. I upgraded to a MR Terraframe 50L and it is leaps and bounds a better pack.

@totalpursuitchannel yea fair enough. Alot of people seem to really like the m5. It's gold quality and everything no doubt. I just think the weight bearing system isn't the best. I'm going to buy the MR pop up series

New to western hunting and heard you talking about your “10 essentials”. Have a link to that list??? Another video? Thanks! Really enjoying the rest of the videos too!

With a last name like Frame, who better to talk about packs? Whether they are external or internal frames.
The Pop Up 28 or 38 was one of the top choices for me when looking for a tree 🌳 saddle pack including a meat 🍖 hauler and also would be used as a day pack for out west.
I really like these upgrades on both packs. Thanks for breaking them down for us.

I own the pop-up 38 and I’ve done 5 day back county hunts with it. Small tent and my sleeping back strapped to the bottom of it

I wonder how it would do as a ocean shore fishing back, using the game bag for hauling out striped bass

I hunt in virginia on public land and have had good success doing long day trips that get me away from other hunters. Nothing really "hard core" but once you walk past a mile you normally have the woods to yourself. A pack like this is crucial to be able to bring layers and pack out meat. Which people in virginia have never even heard of.

Nice packs! 40 liters with a load shelf is more than enough for a multi day hunt. You gear nerds need to get out of your own way!

Lol I know. I’ve done 5 day backcountry hunts in my pop-up 38. It weighed 45-50 lbs all loaded up. It’s definitely way harder but it works

    Awesome review as always Paul.
I will say I have done overnight 2day scouting trips in the summer out of my pop up 28. Totally doable.

Great video, excited about these new packs. On the men’s pop-up 30 does the main pack zipper horseshoe all the way down the side the same as the 40 to make internal access easier? Thanks!!

Can the bags be tightly secured against frame? My biggest issue with 28/38 was all the slack.

    • @Lexidezi225
      @Lexidezi225 Год назад

Yep that shit annoys me with the way it can’t be tight. That’s why I’m seriously considering upgrading

All you gotta do is wrap the clips around the frame. Works much better, not perfect but close

I’ve been looking for a bag for whitetail hunting in Ontario. Hiking in pretty far on crown land (public land) and packing a deer out. Maybe staying for a night or two if needed. Any other opinions like this? Thanks

You should not have taken away the side zip on the 30L. There is no excuse for that. I have a decathlon 20L with these features, and I have seen bags as small as 10L with roll top AND side zip.

The 30 would have mad a great pack for treestand or run and gun but they ruined it by only being able to get in through the top. To bad they didn’t put the tri zip on it it would have been an awesome pack then I think I will just stick to my pack I have

Anyone having problems with gohunt maps? Won't load on my desktop at all and the phone app won't show many of the layers. What I can get to work is super slow.

Hi! Over the weekend, our GIS layers were down. They are back up and working now. Please let us know if you still see issues.
