This is art and brought tears to my eyes. I have repaired thousands of machines myself. So many people will never understand the high level of creativity technical work can require. You have to invent tools and processes. It doesn't just have to look pretty like ordinary art. Has to stand the tests of use and time. If a component cannot be obtained you sometimes have to make it.

For people wondering why not replace it, sometimes (which turns out to be most times) the ribbon cables are specially made for that device and it is practically impossible to get a replacement.

High frequency circuits are the circuits where the length of transmission line is greater than 1/10th of frequency being transmitted. Keep in mind that digital signals are composed of entire spectrum (Fourier series/analysis)

Thats awesome! Had to do similar repairs on rf traces on pcbs, its actually kinda fun. Idk if they did it in this video but I would always recommend double checking continuity between lines at the very end before sealing it back. Nothing's worse than finishing a job only to realize there was a problem and you gotta go back. Otherwise, the repair looks awesome

I am girl and I have been changing parts in my phones for a long time. I once changed a chip but not complicated stuff like you do. But for the first time I find a channel with clear quality, where I understand what you are doing. I want ro watch more of your vidoes in the future, maybe learn more from what you do. You are smart, hard working, talented and in this world unfortunately too much consumerism is happening. We should do this more...not throwing everything in the trash...not this tech and materials.

That is honestly impressive, but damn that looks like a lot of tedious work to save a ribbon cable. I feel in most cases you would be better off just getting a new one unless it is one you can't find or is crazy expensive or something. Not trying to downplay it or anything because i do think its really cool. Would be a very good skill to have if you are restoring old tech that might not have parts available.
