This is incredibly helpful Karina! Thank you for taking the time to make this stand alone video for your fellow sewists and followers❤
My jaw has dropped with the sewing of mitered corners! Thank you for such a simple method.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for pulling out this topic and giving excellent instructions and examples.
Thank you for this detailed explanation. I watched it several times, and then saved the video to my files.
Glad it helped!
Just did it in less than 5 minutes! Can't believe it used to stress about doing these corners. Thank you.
Awesome tutorial for dealing with a variety of edges and different weight fabrics!❤Kelly
They look so neat ❤
Beautiful techniques! Thank you for putting them all in one video that we can reference!
great video and glad we can find it to go back and review when needed :)
Excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
I've only done mitered corners once and this was a great refresher on how to do them and how nice they look! I may need to watch this video again just to reinforce the process in my head! Thank you so much for your great teaching content! I love following your channel! 🥰
Glad it was helpful!
That was really wonderful and helpful. I love this fabric treatment. What a great idea . I do mitre corners in quilting but never thought of applying it to my garment construction.
You're the best!
Great info!! Can't wait for the new pattern!
Mitred corners give a garment a special touch. I couldn’t do them before but after seeing your instructions I feel confidant that I can. Useful on other handicrafts too. Thank you again for another great video.
I can’t wait to see what you have done with your version.
I love mitered corners but doing the math always scares me. Again, you make things so easy. Your teaching style is awesome 😎. Thank you so much. I will always be doing mitered corners now 😊😊😊
Oh, Karina! I am definitely trying the mitered corner method!
Very helpful, thank you.
I've been using the hand basting method ever since I started watching your channel! No regrets as the finish is so much nicer and sometimes also easier to machine stitch it after. Now I'll be using the mitered corners too! Thanks so much for the wonderful tutorial!
Love it, Corina! Thank you for again adding to my sewing skills!
Thank you for teaching the benefits and application of hand basting.
Your stand alone techniques videos are valuable resources and are ones I refer to often. I’m using mitered corners for a garment I’m sewing today. Thank you, Karina!
Thank you so much for putting this in it's own video ❤ I just love your tutorials
Thank you soo much
Thank you! I have used this today to mitre the corners on my new top!
Yay!!
Thank you for this technique, it will be very useful.
Perfect timing! I just cut a dozen linen kitchen towels that each need mitered corners.😀
Thanks Karina....your help and tips always comes in handy.
Have a nice day.
Thank very timely I am making a denium skirt with a opening down the front which I need to mitre. I always have to look this up! I like to hand baste the hem too (from my old days at school learning to sew). Thanks
Your hair looks so smooth and nice.
Do you have a video on how to miter a lap scarfs, love this video.
I don’t know what a lap scarf is 😬
I made a mitred corner on the split on the long Allegro skirt - the way the instructions said to do it was a real mess along the edge which showed to the outside.
Rhankyou Karina, such great information.....😊
Thank you so much for this. Recently I bungled a mitered corner on a skirt because I did not fine the directions very helpful. Now I see how to do it.
I used to sew mitered corners years ago. Thanks for the reminder of how easy they can be and how good they look. Also Karina, what is that pattern you have on?
I spent the morning rewatching your pants fitting vids, those Largo Cargoes are really picking on me!
Now that i watch this new vid, can i just say how much more wonderful your new haircut looks! You’re always beautiful, but the shorter hair really works for you 🧡
Mitered corners always look better! I’m bad at them 😂
Now i know the dreaded maths involved, maybe I’ll be able to do a better job of it!
Wonderful content, love all your tips and tricks Karina. Do you mind me asking what this pattern is that you're wearing here please ? It is very effective.
Can I do the mitered corner if the seam allowances are different? Vent is 1/2" and hem is 1". Or would it have to be folded
Yes you can but it’s not easy or fast and that’s why I don’t demonstrate this here. Try to even them out or try the other methods I showed at the end :)
Thank you Karina for these excellent tips! Mitered corners are so neat.
