- Let's found out what makes a gated manual Murci quite so special!? I couldn't leave Utah without joining @TheStradman for a drive in his Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary to find out for myself what the hype is about, and taking these cars quickly to $1m plus!
After James has been kindly looking after my AMG GT Black Series for the last month, we're ready to be heading onwards to our next stop, but before doing so there's room for one last drive together! The Murcielago 40th Anniversary was a very special car for him to add to his Lamborghini collection but having never experienced a manual Murci, I need to find out what all the hype is about.
Prices for Murcielagos have been rising incredibly, as all rare Lamborghini models, but in particular either SVs or cars with gated manual gearboxes. While at the time, it was more popular for customers to order cars with the E-gear automoted box, there was of course a 6 speed available and it turns out to be an absolute delighted!
The 40th Murci was limited to 50 cars, and all exclusively in Verde Artemis paint with carbon fibre details, specific wheels, and of course all with a manual gearbox. James' particular car was originally collected for him by @Drivewithroy and Zach Brehl in Canada, before eventually importing it to the US and now having it at his Dream House, which is undergoing the next stage of its transformation.

I enjoy watching James so much in this environment. He’s so relaxed and the camera is much more stable. I know he’s got his character in his channel but seeing him relaxed outside of his channel is so refreshing.

I just love the respect Tim and James have for each other on their channels, what I mean is James is normally very loud and talkative, but on Tim's channel he is quite and keeps the focus on Tim talking and being the presenter on his channel, and Tim does the same for James, love that respect!
Seeing how strad is when he isn’t behind the camera it’s crazy how he is a little bit more relaxed. Very cool to see y’all two on the same video.

I love the collaborations with James! Two of my favorites! I only live about 330 miles from Stradman and hope one day to meet him. I love that Murci but the Diablo 6.0 is my love car.
I live about 5 miles from him, and have only seen him once in a almost 2 year period and he was driving the other way on the freeway

I was 22 back in 2001 when the Murciélago came out, what a car! I remember watching a review (Top Gear, of course), and I was enamored with the way those shoulder intakes move out as you go faster, still one of my favorite things to watch! I may be hinting at something here, something like maybe video from a 360 camera of those intakes moving out 🤔...

Love the manual Murci, but that Diablo is😍. I had an orange one just like that on my wall as a teenager.
The Arancio Atlas Murci in NFS Hot Pursuit 2 was always my favorite, since I couldn't dream of affording one. The sound cannot be beaten. Just an absolute symphony.
This Murci is epic with that manual...beautiful 40th anniversary version....awesome...and I have a feeling there might be a Sian in Shmee's future.

This trio collaboration was epic and that Murcielago 40th anniversary edition is just quite something. Even Tommy from The Hamilton Collection said this car was incredible to drive. I really hope Shmee does a review on some of these cars that Stradman has like in-depth. There's so much more love inside of these cars compared to their value or how much they're appreciated by others. I wonder if Stradman would take $1.5m on that Murcielago!?

That 6.0 liter is the perfect spec. Even down to the sv/se30 colormatched wing. I saw an arancio atlas 6.0 at the chicago auto show in 2001 and to this day its still my favorite lamborghini color.
Agreed! I think Arancio looks better than Giallo on the 6.0 Diablo. With or without the wing.

I always was a big merclago fan guy but the Diablo is another one of my favorite Lamborghinis and now I get to see both cars in 1 video I would love to see 1 of these 2 cars in person someday

That Diablo VT is as cool as a car can get imho. Was blown away by them back in the 90's, and still am to this day.

The UK vs the US… You guys pull it off. Driving down a country lane vs Open desert freeway. Narrow vs wide roads. Long history vs short history. There is a difference in world view for sure. You can tell when you guys are going back and forth in the car. It’s cool and different from the usual review vlog. I love these collaborations!

2 years ago it was just a 150K used Lambo here in Europe... Again, thank you for creating the hype around these cars ( yesterday it was the R34 GTR now the Murcielago, great ! )
That's why we can't buy our dream cars as normal car enthusiasts without deep pockets. I'm so tired to push my budget, working hard every day, to see these cars bought by speculators and so-called "expert" collectors like Ed Bolian.
This video is proof of how much more fun manual cars are. It's just them driving around but even for the viewer it is just an amazing experience. You just want to drive and drive. Modern automatics and especially electric cars just dont do that. Values will probably never stop rising

The original Murcielago is my dream Lamborghini and remains timeless for years to come, even more so than the LP 640 and LP 670-4 Superveloce. It’s everyone’s childhood supercar, and what a beauty it really is. To my mind, this beats the Countach in every way.

My friend had the Diablo Monterey SV. It was like a candy apple red. Gorgeous car. It was 1 of 20. All were different colors. That would be a great additional for James, if he could locate one.
