I have noticed Ben in proximity to you and your friends since the Monarch build series and was always impressed with his creative talent and curious about him. He arrived in your videos as a mellow, hard-working co-visionary with mad craftsman skills who managed to artistically and practically fit everything you would need to be safe and comfortable into the bus. Along the way, his more complex nature came into focus for we viewers. A patient teacher, a philosopher, an animal lover, a funny, reliable friend and community-minded partner who longed for the open road and its adventures, as you did.
I remember thinking to myself then how much I hoped to see a romantic spark ignite between the two of you, but the time was not yet right. It somehow seems poetic and indeed prophetic that you would end up together in the present. He helped you create your dream bus which he now gets to enjoy along with you, he is alongside helping you perfect your envisioned home and even contributed the tree he chopped down years ago to make your unique desktop. That struck me as an endearing, significant gesture.
As an architect in those projects, it seems so fitting that he is there front and center helping you build the possible future you've dreamed of. I'm so happy for the two of you! 😍

ORCA, wild heh! 😊 I'm on the western south Pacific, aka Queensland. Our humpback migration are heading south towards Antarctica now, past my 12th floor oceanfront apartment.
