One of my MK2 Golfs had a “performance” air filter. It was as yours a standard filter frame but with ladies tights stretched over. Needless to say that found its way to the bin straight away.
😂 I would love to know what goes through the minds of people that do this stuff 😂
FYI, get yourself a set of Irwin 4LW vice grips. They clamp on 3 sides of the hex nut and are AMAZING for taking off brake lines without obliterating/mangling the flare nut. Totally worth it. You often don't even need to replace it when they're rusted in.

The best series on RUclips ! I had a Lupo GTI back as my second car and the biggest regret I have ever made was getting rid of it for £1800 ! They are like gold dust now !

Great little series so far mate 🤙🏻. Any reason you didn’t sit the air box over the gearbox & still run the air feed through the light unit on the passenger side of the bumper? That would help with less heat soak.

Nice carbon air filter box from CDA, I've got the larger version on my 2.0 16v turbo because the standard one did not fit anymore after the turbo conversion.
Bad luck with the head gasket it seems 😔

Sucks about the engine :( and I never realised the G60 conversion was quite that simple, always thought you needed the calipers too and I have speedlines on mine too but Turini's 😂

Copper grease on the pads is so bad 😭 Get some ceramic grease dude.
Copperslip has been used for years. It will be fine
@@DanChambersDAC there are hundreds of things that have been used for years, doesn’t make it right. Copper grease dries out with heat cycles, ceramic grease doesn’t. It’s pennies for a tube and all motor factors sell them.. just grab one with the next set of pads you’re doing 🤷🏻♂️ I see so many issues with brake squeal from copper slip
