The 1995 collapse still stings too. I believe we had a 13/14 game lead over Seattle in mid August and they managed to catch us and actually over take us. The Halos forced a one game play off and I still remember watching that game like it was yesterday. Mark Langston pretty matched the Big Unit pitch for pitch until JT Snow made an error with two outs on the seventh inning that allowed the M’s to break the game wide open.
This broadcast was quite pleasant, and I now realize why. Tim McCarver isn't here spoiling everything with his trash analysis and bad info. He was so annoying in the 85 playoffs; hopefully, he will be absent from the rest of this series.
Wow! The Angels put away the Red Sox! Clemens just didn’t have the control. And Boston needed to score more runs in the inning where they finally scored to get some momentum going. Everything just didn’t go well for Boston after the double play in the first inning. They should have stayed with the bunt and moved Boggs to second. Who knows what would have happened after Buckner’s at bat.

Bob Boone is Aaron's father. Aaron's grandfather Ray Boone and brother Bret Boone also played. Reggie played for the Athletics (in Kansas City and in Oakland), the Orioles, the Yankees, and the Angels. He returned to the Athletics for the final year of his career (1987).

It’s incredible how Clemens balked all the time when pitching from the stretch. He never stops his delivery. Yet, never called.
