His biggest upside is his toughness for his size. He took some absolute shots and hung on to the ball. Little guys that aren't tough won't make it no matter how fast and shifty. Wandale has plenty of toughness.
I saw him play when Kentucky faced Iowa and he was the difference maker in that game that Kentucky won in an upset. K Tony Clone. Does that mean K Toney is out of here?
What are we complaining about here Giants nation? This kid looks great on tape. 1:00 kid just eats that tackle stays upright and scores. Great determination. I feel better about this pick after watching some tape. Definitely see the Kadarius Toney comparisons. He looks a little more controlled than KT too which is a good thing.
Alright as a Giants fan, after watching his tape I gotta admit I’m excited about our offense: Saquon Golladay Kadarius Toney Shep Now Robinson sheeshhh
I watched Wandale Last year at home games in Kentucky this kid will give the Giants not only a deep threat but a slot guy who can create big gains across the middle.. if u give him screen passes along the sideline he can creat huge gains for the Offense. Gotta know how to utilize him but if u utilize him right he has pro bowl potential. So explosive n shifty !!! Def can’t go wrong with Wandale ..
Even tho he was only there for a season. As a Louisville fan I can definitely tell you he’s the truth and wish him the best of luck to whoever gets him
us giants fans need to keep In mind that when It comes to drafting receives the giants rlly don’t miss. And I think wan’dale Robinson will be another great receiver for us for at least the next 4 years
Have you seen any thing of Danny gray?? Heard alot about him being super underrated. It's just shocking to see how many starting WRs in the NFL can come out of this draft
Watch 1:07. Splits the RCB and the LBr with a slant from the 17 and when you have to reach for the ball, you KNOW you're getting popped by the Safety and he did. Some guys get alligator arms. Some guys go down or veer away from the Safety. He took a helmet to the chin and scored.
Giant fan here. Don't know much about him. However, watching the tape, that's the first thing that stood out. That's speaks to toughness. Mental and physical. 👊🏿
man looks like a decent RAC threat, hopefully gives an outlet option to help Jones as we all know how he has struggled to get through his progressions. Might just open up some space deeper as well. Gotta hope lol
Born January 5, 2001. Played high school football for the Western Hills Wolverines (KY). Played college football first for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and then for the Kentucky Wildcats. Drafted #43 overall by the New York Giants.
As a Giants fan, I've been obsessed with trying to figure out if I love or hate this pick, and I think the more research I do, I'm starting to understand why we took him at 43. It's still a reach in my opinion, but the Giants probably couldn't trade down any lower than 43 and they got 2 extra picks in their trade downs already so it justified picking him at 43rd overall. He's 100% going to be entrenched in the slot and working out the backfield for most of his early career. Don't get me wrong, he's EXTREMELY strong for his size (he benched 225 fo 19 reps at his pro day and he's only 180ish pounds), but I see him struggling in press coverage against physical corners like Marlon Humphrey, Jalen Ramsey, but if he can get off the LOS the way he did in college, he can easily burn them deep or in open space. I see Daboll/Kafka wanting to use him like a Jaylen Waddle, a poor man's Tyreek Hill (not that that's bad at all) in the passing game, somewhat like Austin Ekeler in terms of usage NOT play style (involved in both the rushing and receiving game, I doubt Robinson can run between the tackles as hard as Ekeler). Watch his highlights from 2019 against Illinois (27 total touches, 168 rushing + receiving yards, 3 TDs) if you don't get what i mean. I also don't think Golladay fits what Daboll/Kafka want to do, because if you look at Buffalo's offense or KC's offense, they didn't have tall 50-50 guys, they had guys who could create space, lots of West Coast spread philosophies, so this pick is to cater to that concept past this upcoming season. KG probably isn't a Giant past 2022, Shep might not be back either, and Slayton is definitely not coming back. They'll be replaced by Toney, Robinson, and most likely another quick elusive route runner in the 2023 draft who can create separation. I think we'll really see a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets during games to make the offense less predictable than it was in the Judge/Garrett era.
@@MrRyan-wu4jx Schoen made it very clear he's not shopping KT lmao. It's not at all a bad problem to have. If anything it means KT is a bigger part of the Giants future because they now have two WRs under contract through at least 2025/2026 who were both utility players early in college and played WR their last year. Also Toney can play on the outside, he's 6'0 194. Robinson is strictly a slot or backfield flex.
@@dreadpool8708 ha, if an nfl gm says they aren’t gonna trade somebody, you better believe they’re just trying to drive up potential value for a trade. How many times has a gm said that and the guy was gone a week later?
@@MrRyan-wu4jx The last GM was a totally incompetent airbag, he traded Odell for....what? How did we improve? Logically, KT isn't getting traded this season at all. The draft is over, most of free agency has been decided, if they really want to trade him it would probably be next year but I don't see how they'd do that with KG on a potential out and Shep on an expiring contract come 2023. MAYBE if the Giants are a middle of the pack team next year and Schoen/Dabes are actively scouting a qb in the draft, and if they're picking between 13-17, I could see them adding KT in a trade to move up for a guy like CJ Stroud or Bryce Young.
wow, definitely undersized but obviously plays with a HUGE HEART! First time watching tape on this guy all at once and numerous times, you'll see him cut through traffic and take some hits with seemingly no fear..hope he can hold up, already started his pro career hurt, but immense talent- that shiftiness in the open field is unmatchable on defense..
He reminds me exactly of Toney. I guess we got a Joka 2.0. Shame though, we had Kobe Dean right there for the taking and he passed. I hope Joe knows what he's up too. At this point I have to give him a pass.
You mention Tyreek Hill. This kid seems like a natural fit for Kansas City. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them grab this kid with one of their two first rounders. Although it looks like they’re trying to trade up for Dotson or Olave.
Very happy with this draft pick💪 The giants going to be run heavy. I think they are trying to develop a screen game with a running attack with some motion(my guess). Him,toney, barkley, breida sets with a TE Or 2 with ... Tyrod?
Everyone judges so quick just cuz a player they don't know is taken high. So many Giants fan were bashing this pick never watching a snap of him this dude is gonna be a problem with Kadarious Toney trying to cover both
Feel like this was a stretch for a top 50 pick. Hope I’m wrong but he’s tiny and we already have a gadget type player (Toney) that we never use. Now we got 2 of them, hopefully the new coaching staff can put it all together.
I think he could go late first to mid second. I could see the Chiefs drafting him to replace Hill though he’s not as fast he’s a similar player. Maybe the Patriots as well who need more speed.
