The real test will be if the feeling of “lots of healing” is going to remain after everyone is geared which usually becomes the issue for healers on the long run of each new expansion. If it maintains this way, then I’ll agree with you. But if it becomes moot because of gearing then welp… fun while it lasted I guess Edit: so.. you should really consider getting therapy or calling for help because it’s becoming apparent that you can’t overcome your anguish alone. It’s a lot to overcome considering your history. Please look out for yourself.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Had my mom pass last year from lung cancer and Dawntrail full on wrecked me unexpectedly. As for the Healer Strike, it seemed like a silly thing from the jump since we knew that they were focusing on content design and not job overhauls in 7.0. I would have given it a little more leeway if they did like 2 weeks of DT healing and come to the conclusion that the system changes weren't enough, but they arbitrarily decided that it was going to be the perfect time to try and make healer participation plummet and honestly didn't see any impact from it. Even roulettes seemed to get healers immediately when I solo queue on tank. Never once waited for a healer.

My mother passed away last year and it has been a very hard year but the catharsis from a certain part of the MSQ really felt geared for those of us who might relate to that kind of loss or the fear of it. the reason why #healer strike isn't working is because this has to be unanimous decision within the healer community. And collectively as a whole it sounds like there are very much mixed feelings on the subject.
The reason it isnt working is partially that and partially because... people will just swap to healer for insta queues... It could work in a game like wow, where your character is one class not 23 (or however many) at once.
@@Dndstories It's how Adventurer in need works - It checks for tanks, then healers, then dps sequentially. If there isn't enough tanks in the queue, it will show up as tank in need. It doesn't matter if there's significantly less healers because it won't show up until enough tanks queue up. I queued as a tank.. then sat in queue for a long ass time. Meanwhile swapping to healer means results in being instant. Other times, both are empty, but it will still show up tank in need for that reason because it checks for tanks first. Also, lately DF and PF has been pain. PF has issues with finding healers. DF has people queueing healer for instant queue, but so many healers lately have been physick spammers... like people who really can't be trusted to keeping the party alive and are somehow worse than your Medica II spammer. It's actually unreal. I might be just that unlucky but my experience makes me think a good number of healer mains actually did just strike.
dunno if this counts as “striking” or not, but I quit without touching DT cause healers suck. I’ll come back when Dosis spam is dead and I get real gameplay.

Imma be honest, let them keep striking. Haven't missed any of them. Adventurer in need has been Tank since day 3 on most roulettes, most of the time. I didn't feel the strike, and I don't think it made any difference whatsoever but paint those adhering to it look like asshats. Healers are never happy, they always find something to complain about, every expansion, no exception. Been like that since end of HW. For all my two cents, they can strike til the game shuts down and I don't think it'll actually make a difference. Healers (the role) have problems, it's true, but doing a strike is the most crybaby childish thing: "Pout and stomp in place". It doesn't accomplish anything, in reality; the game has too many players for something as small as a healer strike in the NA region to really affect anything. The devs KNOW about all these issues/complaints. They've known for a while, we've complained for a while. They've said before this healer strike thing even got traction that they will address job identity in 8.0. Even if it the devs mention it or address it, it probably doesn't change anything on what they have planned and when they have those changes planned. Not to mention that the JP community is of the opposite stance. IMO, Best course of action: Just chill, swallow the pride and complaining, and play the game. If you don't like healer as is, play another role. If you don't like another role, then play another game for a while. Take a break from the game, come back when/if things improve. Sitting and pouting won't do anyone any good. Sorry to hear about all that other stuff tho, hope stuff gets better for you.
