Wow. This dish is also a very popular street food in my native country of Haiti 🇭🇹 we call it "fritay" (free-taye) in haitian creole or "fritures" in French. We cook and serve it a bit differently, alongside other fried items like sweet potatoes, fried dough (marinad), "accra" (fried seasoned paste made from grated Taro root which we call "malanga"). We serve it with "pikliz" and onions and a cold drink. Ok now I'm hungry lol.
@mayc.757 wow! Our cultures are so similar. We also have "accra" which is fried seasoned black-eyed peas or fried seasoned cassava and banana. I'm convinced some Haitians are straight from Cameroon. So many similarities. 💜
