Yep, most people don't know this was done decades ago and it was so successful with the quad wheel setup on the front they banned the car after it was crushing the competition.

@@BC-ni3sk My favourite car, competed in the 76 and 77 F1 seasons. Only won one race, was not competitive. Didn't get banned for being too successful - that was ground effects that came a little later with Lotus. One of the drivers, future F1 champion with Ferrari, Jody Scheckter hated driving it. Concept was good, but the tyres were not developed as much as the regular ones. Now in historic racing and with comparable tyres at last, they have a reputation for being really fast. Shame they did not get the tyres they needed back in the day.

If it wasn't for 00:12 and the abscence of camera man reflection, It's REALLY hard to tell it's a render, very very nice work. The lighting is on point and even went as far as adding some movement to the pilot inside.

There's something about the gold wheels that just looks off, made me doubt what I was seeing straight away.
You can tell it's a render because it would never clear a speedbump lol
the 0:15 sequence tells u that it's impossible it's real since it would crash into the other cars since those wings are huge

for me it was the tires. even sitting still the tires are a little off. But otherwise this is very convincing.
Have you never seen an F-1 street race? They go this fast.

@@MrOrcaCatat first, it is, but after seeing 0:13, I immediately started to doubt it, it’s too fast to actually believe it, and the sound didn’t actually blend well in that short flyby, plus, the video is too smooth for the pass, I don’t know if it can be achieved by better cameras but I doubt that it’ll gonna be that good, so yeah, I learned that it was fake by the comments

@@ddl795 The flyby is pretty realistic as well, all things considered, if it had real F1 performance it would look like this. But with all the traffic, I doubt anyone would drive like this and not get arrested mid day.
When the car gets out of the garage, the car reacts so realistically to the bumps. The movement of the chassis is perfect and I thought it was real. Really good job. On 0:11 it's obvious it's fake but the rest of the footage is spot on. Congrats.

The only thing which got me was the bottom plane of the front wing clipping through the speed bumps when it comes out of the garage, and I didn't spot that on first view. Aside from that, this is almost a perfect render. I thought it was real for a while. Fantastic work.
If you hadn't had pointed that out, I wouldn't even have realised this wasn't real. I'm normally really good at spotting CG, but this was almost flawless!
@@Kj16V yeah it's a remarkably well done render, the tracking, compositing, shot grading and lighting is spot on. The car physics are also chefs-kiss.gif, it looks like it has realistic mass and handling for how it looks. Super impressive.

@@Nicholas44566 I am aware that there are real life size display around japan but this one is CG and theres no actual moving replica in real life. The CG artist is so good that it almost looks real. The 3d model is very well done too.
The tires and the shine of the rims. Rims are never that clean and polished, specially on a racecar.

CG인듯 하네요. 밑에 댓글들도 의견이 분분하긴 하지만 CG인 쪽이 우세해 보이고, 제가 봐도 전륜 두개의 휠이 너무 싱크가 잘 맞는게 유일한 옥의 티가 아닌가 싶습니다. 라이팅은 정말 기가막히네요. 작업자가 탑클래스인거 같습니다.

This is AMAZING. I knew it [likely] wasn't real. But by "wasn't real" I meant "anything but a 'film/fun car/build'", and I could not tell it isn't ACTUALLY "real", til reading comments.

Excellent CGI, I had to watch it at 0.25 speed and noticed shadow pop-in at 0:10 on the windscreen (shadow disappears every other frame).
Really well done though.
Also, the HDRI reflection map is wrong at 0:19, showing things that aren't there, and of course no cameraman is reflected in the car at all. But these things are extremely hard to do. Solid work.

流石に、変形機構は持ってなさそうだけど・・・まじで作ってくれたことに感謝だな。 なんつうか、デザイン的な自由がF1にはないので、サイバーフォーミュラはF1とは別に、日本で開催して最初は、遊び感覚で、マシンを作って、レースして欲しいね。 結果がどうなるのかはともかく、カッコいいマシンがレース場を走るのを見るだけで楽しそうだね。

I am sure that a huge age group could be fooled by this video, personally I thought it was fake from the beginning, and seeing it in motion helped me to confirm it completely, still an incredible job

Today is 2024. It is incredible that the initiator of Cyber Formula could forecast future technology. Auto pilot. GPS. ChatGDP. Adjustable angle of wing. Plus super streamline race body which beyond our imagination.

Great job. But some details gave it away as CGI. Right at the beginning, the wheels look off. They don't follow the speed of the vehicle relative to the ground, and they don't have motion blur. Great camera motion tracking! Also, the tyres from the right side have mirrored letters for some reason.
This looks like it would be a lot of fun to drive in a modern videogame.
