What i didnt hear talked about is whether or not these devices stop viruses from reproducing. Thats what i have been tol is that the uv light doesnt kill them all but messes with there RNA stopping them from spreading.
You need to have the light very close, about 1 inch, and expose the item for 10 seconds. Did you do that or did you just quickly expose the sample? Update: UV Lights do work, but with the low powered light you were using, it would need to expose the area for 60 seconds. Also, you NEVER should look at a UV-C light, it damages your eyes and you should be wearing safety glasses that block the UV-C light.
Actually, I spoke with a manufacturer for a wand and they said 30 to 60 seconds and must be closer than 1 inch (close as possible). The wand emits radiation so best not to expose your body to the light as well.
uTubeStalker DotCom I purchased a plug in 36 watt UX-C light that is many times more powerful than the toys they tested. It works, but I have to wear heavy clothes, wear gloves, and have eye protection to use it.
The main reason is you need much more power than these little devices can provide. You need 10 Watts of UV-C within a couple of inches for at least four minutes.
The Germ Reaper has all of the certifications necessary and is EPA and FDA approved. It has been tested by SGS. It does what it says. It’s available on Amazon.
UV-C light as in scientifically proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Your study likely has the downfall of user application in that you have to hold the light for a specific amount of time within the right distance over the item as well as using UV c light in the correct nanometers.
1st of all. If anyones gonna go this route. Get one that shuts off automatically when not faced down. That will eliminate burning your eyeballs out of your face.
build your own; you can buy a professional uvc lamp on amazon or any led light bulb dealer. But you gotta know that germicidal bulb is also homicidal in some ways, so you gotta build a light bulb chamber.
do not look at uvc light, the handheld ones are just plain stupid with no reguards for safety. the regular uv lights are even more stupid because uva doesn't kill anything
Don't believe them, they have study the uv light sanitizer wand and they say it works u have to directly place the light on the surface that needs to be cleaned about 10 - 20 second .
It's still best to test your UVC gadget with a UVC Test Card. That way you know you're not getting ripped off. You can get one at UVCTestCard.com - It's the cheapest way to know for sure that you're using something that will keep your family safe and not a fake gadget.
Unfortunately, these cards react with UV light outside the UVC spectrum, so they're useless for testing whether you have a UVC light. The company admits as much in their Q&A.
This is fake and does not work . These are not UV LED's and no UVC Light is emitted by them in any Chinese made UV wand. These are just purple LED's. A single genuine UV LED costs 150 USD wholesale. So if these where true UV LED's with at least 6 SMD LED's the cost of the LEDS alone would mean these units have to cost over $1,800.00. Thats not including the power supply, Heatsinks and the essential cooling system. If these real UV LED get to hot they will self destruct in seconds. Return these fake device and don't trust it.
1:24 with that sound effect, I'm definitely invested now 😄
🤣
Anyone peep in the background that stumble in the camera view 😂 she had a her bag ready to go home
😂 at about the 2:35 mark

@@utubestalker.dotcom you emit radiation as well. Even your mouth emits rafiation
I have one that shuts off when not facing down. I see people trying to tan their faces with this device.
Sans. Yes, everything above absolute zero emits long wave(far) infrared, but that's not the same as UV Light.
Why did they not test a before and after?

0:54 But in the video they did have medical researchers holding the light at a specific location for a specific time period
@@utubestalker.dotcom where did it show? It's just a picture not a video
It depends how much power it has
Theyre only worth it if they disinfectant instantly.
It would take at least one hour of uv light
Fast forward to 2020 and you can't keep these in stock! Not a good study.

🤣
then would be difficult to use on vertical surface. Best to wear anti UV glasses and dont point directly at eyes.. even with glasses on.
@@joecater894 well it's not for everyone! 🤣🤣🤣
