Hey guys I’m going to be honest. For years I struggled with lust and I wish I never entertained it because it destroyed my life. Now that I am free, the urges keep coming back stronger and sometimes I entertain it when I know I shouldn’t. At the end of the day, it comes down to a choice. I compose to entertain it but from here on out, no more entertaining lustful thoughts because it will ALWAYS lead to death.
Same here, do not let any lustful or any evil thoughts period have room to breath, when I read my Bible I get thoughts that go against it but I rebuke them, and I also went through lust for many years, you must repent over all evil and rebuke it and let God fight for as humans we are weak, but with Gods holy Spirit we shall be stromg and help others. I've been struggling with addiction, lust,anger, and a lack of following the Lord's decrement. I'm paying the price. I feel spiritual dead. I've been struggling with thoughts of blasphemy for months. Yesterday, it came out of my mouth. Lord, forgive me.
Brother, the fact that you are seeking forgiveness and feel the weight of your sin shows that your heart is not hardened. The enemy wants you to believe you are too far gone, but that is a lie. It is the Holy Spirit who gives you the power and strength to overcome sin. He not only helps you resist temptation but also changes your heart-giving you a hatred for sin and a deep desire to love and please God. That’s why God sends Him to live inside every believer upon salvation. You need to spend intimate time in prayer and the Word, talking to the Holy Spirit daily, because He is your strength. You cannot do this on your own-none of us can. But the Spirit of God is greater than your struggles. "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16). Don’t let guilt and shame keep you from running back to Jesus. Confess your sins, surrender completely, and let the Holy Spirit restore and strengthen you. You are not alone in this battle. Lust, addiction, distractions all are best conquered by replacing them. I found diving into scripture really helps pull you from it all. A physical bible where you can highlight the verses that speak to you, an audio bible, Christian music will all help pull you from sin. I still struggle but those things have pulled me away from so much sin. Whatever genre you listen to there are some great Christian artist for each. We all call him Lord but the biggest challenge for all Christians is making him Lord.
Please confess your sins directly to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness and mercy and to help you overcome. Do this daily and start reading the bible, even a paragraph a day. The enemy DOES NOT WANT you to be FREE. Kick him where it hurts and hand your heart over to Jesus to be healed. It IS working for me and ONLY thanks to obeying HIM through the help of the Holy Spirit. He is REAL AND TRUE. We cannot do this life without Him. But we MUST ask HIM directly for help. Be careful also, what you watch, read, listen to and speak of, can also keep you away from HIM and His protection. It does not matter how far we have sunk in sin, the enemy will whisper that you are not good enough to approach Jesus again. He WANTS to stop us from asking for help from our Saviour. Yet, our Saviour EXPECTS and WANTS us to ask HIM, no matter how broken we have become. He is waiting to hear from YOU today. DON"T GIVE UP!!!

For the past 2 weeks I've been rejecting a direct command God gave me, and seriously considering backsliding because I didn't like the order and I don't want to be a fake Christian, therefore I decided to tell my pastor this sunday that it was going to be my last time in the church. Now I'm warned and reconsidering my decision. EVERY SINGLE TIME God has to tell me something, has been through this guy, and at the perfect time.

He transforms for heart and mind. He gives you the hate for sin, and the desire to serve god instead. Yes, we all stumble, but we should no longer be a slave to sin. So if you know you have received the Holy Spirit, then depend upon Him. when temptation comes, capture it immediately, and ask the Holy Spirit to remove that desire in Jesus name. the longer you entertain it, the harder it will be to avoid. Run from it if you have to. The more you deny the flesh, and resist the devil, the easier it will be to avoid. It will become weaker. But God cant resist the devil for you. So spend intimate time daily in prayer and the word, developing a relationship with Jesus, and building a strong foundation. Its essential. The more you do that, the stronger you will become spiritually, and the easier it will be to avoid temptations when they arise. Be blessed

I feel for the same time I'm actually saved. Before I always clung to drinking, smoking, lusting, curing and pornography. Now I've been delivered from all that stuff. I still get temped but I resist the devil and he flees from me. But I have two things I need to change, I need to read the Bible more often and I need to learn selfless love. Then I think I will be solid with the Lord.

Man I was born with ADD and I truly try so hard to do what I’m asked I try so hard to read and listen to my Bible but my mind just wanders no matter how hard I try it always happens. I know I can’t be perfect but as soon as I realize what I’ve done I instantly hate myself. dude i was disobeying gods orders because i was scared and every second of it was pain with no relief. Why do u think God would cut you off? Thats not even biblical. He says, he will never leave or forsake you. Do you have relationship with Jesus? Are you born again? Because if you are, then you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. If you are stuck in willful sin, then repent, and get back up. Its how we respond that counts. And be sure you are spending intimate time daily in prayer and the word. Its essential. Read a few chapters a day, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, and to speak to you through scripture. He will teach you the word of God. After all, He is the author. The more time you spend with God, the stronger spiritually you will be, and the Holy Spirit will give you that assurance of salvation. Dont give up, He has a special purpose for you. Be blessed

Im diagnosed schizophrenic. How do I differentiate God's word from the devils? I was in a psych unit for around 80 days and every day I would read from the Bible. For years I thought I was openly communicating with God and the devil. But there's also the aspect of my mind. I believe my subconscious mind displays what I am subconsciously thinking on the pages of my Bible. This is also true I believe with most of my reality that I see and hear. Your advice is highly appreciated. Iv talked with pastors, doctors, psychiatrists about this but to no prevail
I appreciate you reaching out and seeking truth in the midst of your struggles. First and foremost, you need to make sure that you have truly placed your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. When we do, He sends the Holy Spirit to live inside of us. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and helper-He will transform your heart and mind, guiding you into truth (John 16:13).
It's important to remember that the enemy is a deceiver (John 8:44), but the Holy Spirit gives us discernment to distinguish between what is true and what is false. You are not meant to rely on your own mind or feelings alone, but on the unchanging Word of God. The Bible is not shaped by your subconscious thoughts-it is the living and active Word of God (Hebrews 4:12), and it speaks truth regardless of our emotions or mental state.
I encourage you to stay grounded in Scripture, but also to ask God for clarity and peace. If voices or impressions bring fear, confusion, or condemnation, they are not from God (2 Timothy 1:7). God's voice aligns with His Word and brings peace, conviction (not condemnation), and love.
You are not alone in this, and I pray that the Holy Spirit brings you clarity, peace, and the ability to discern His voice above all else. Keep seeking Him, and He will guide you (Jeremiah 29:13). Spend time daily in prayer and the word, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand, and to speak to you through scripture. Its essential. But the Holy Spirit is the key. Be blessed

That being said, I feel like I'm kinda stuck watching scripture stuff on youtube, my feed is just full of it. I just wanna remind people experiencing the same to lay it off for a while and start applying what you've learned, maybe reset your recommendations on yt. I completely get what you’re saying, and you’re absolutely right-there comes a point when we need to step away from simply consuming content and start living out what we’ve learned. But even more than that, we need to make sure we’re learning from the right source. RUclips can be helpful, but it’s not our teacher-the Holy Spirit is. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth (John 16:13). That means we need to spend time in God’s Word, not just watching videos about it, but asking the Holy Spirit to open our understanding and speak to us through Scripture. It’s in those quiet moments with God, reading His Word and seeking Him in prayer, that real transformation happens. So, take that step-reset your focus, open your Bible, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. He’s the best teacher, and He’ll give you exactly what you need. 1 John 2:27 says: "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."...... Now that I am free, the urges keep coming back stronger and sometimes I entertain it when I know I shouldn’t. At the end of the day, it comes down to a choice. I compose to entertain it but from here on out, no more entertaining lustful thoughts because it will ALWAYS lead to death.

I've been struggling with addiction, lust,anger, and a lack of following the Lord's decrement. I'm paying the price. I feel spiritual dead. I've been struggling with thoughts of blasphemy for months. Yesterday, it came out of my mouth. Lord, forgive me.
Brother, the fact that you are seeking forgiveness and feel the weight of your sin shows that your heart is not hardened. The enemy wants you to believe you are too far gone, but that is a lie.
It is the Holy Spirit who gives you the power and strength to overcome sin. He not only helps you resist temptation but also changes your heart-giving you a hatred for sin and a deep desire to love and please God. That’s why God sends Him to live inside every believer upon salvation.
You need to spend intimate time in prayer and the Word, talking to the Holy Spirit daily, because He is your strength. You cannot do this on your own-none of us can. But the Spirit of God is greater than your struggles. "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16).
Don’t let guilt and shame keep you from running back to Jesus. Confess your sins, surrender completely, and let the Holy Spirit restore and strengthen you. You are not alone in this battle. Keep pressing forward in faith! God bless
Lust, addiction, distractions all are best conquered by replacing them. I found diving into scripture really helps pull you from it all. A physical bible where you can highlight the verses that speak to you, an audio bible, Christian music will all help pull you from sin. I still struggle but those things have pulled me away from so much sin. Whatever genre you listen to there are some great Christian artist for each. We all call him Lord but the biggest challenge for all Christians is making him Lord.
Please confess your sins directly to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness and mercy and to help you overcome. Do this daily and start reading the bible, even a paragraph a day. The enemy DOES NOT WANT you to be FREE. Kick him where it hurts and hand your heart over to Jesus to be healed. It IS working for me and ONLY thanks to obeying HIM through the help of the Holy Spirit. He is REAL AND TRUE. We cannot do this life without Him. But we MUST ask HIM directly for help. Be careful also, what you watch, read, listen to and speak of, can also keep you away from HIM and His protection. It does not matter how far we have sunk in sin, the enemy will whisper that you are not good enough to approach Jesus again. He WANTS to stop us from asking for help from our Saviour. Yet, our Saviour EXPECTS and WANTS us to ask HIM, no matter how broken we have become. He is waiting to hear from YOU today. DON"T GIVE UP!!!

Only the Holy Spirit can give you the power and strength to overcome lust. we cant do it through our own willpower. That is why god sends Him to live inside every believer upon salvation. He transforms for heart and mind. He gives you the hate for sin, and the desire to serve god instead. Yes, we all stumble, but we should no longer be a slave to sin. So if you know you have received the Holy Spirit, then depend upon Him. when temptation comes, capture it immediately, and ask the Holy Spirit to remove that desire in Jesus name. the longer you entertain it, the harder it will be to avoid. Run from it if you have to. The more you deny the flesh, and resist the devil, the easier it will be to avoid. It will become weaker. But God cant resist the devil for you. So spend intimate time daily in prayer and the word, developing a relationship with Jesus, and building a strong foundation. Its essential. The more you do that, the stronger you will become spiritually, and the easier it will be to avoid temptations when they arise. Be blessed

I feel for the same time I'm actually saved. Before I always clung to drinking, smoking, lusting, curing and pornography. Now I've been delivered from all that stuff. I still get temped but I resist the devil and he flees from me. But I have two things I need to change, I need to read the Bible more often and I need to learn selfless love. Then I think I will be solid with the Lord.

Man I was born with ADD and I truly try so hard to do what I’m asked I try so hard to read and listen to my Bible but my mind just wanders no matter how hard I try it always happens. I know I can’t be perfect but as soon as I realize what I’ve done I instantly hate myself. Only the Holy Spirit can give you the power and strength to overcome lust. we cant do it through our own willpower. That is why god sends Him to live inside every believer upon salvation. He transforms for heart and mind. He gives you the hate for sin, and the desire to serve god instead. Yes, we all stumble, but we should no longer be a slave to sin. So if you know you have received the Holy Spirit, then depend upon Him. when temptation comes, capture it immediately, and ask the Holy Spirit to remove that desire in Jesus name. the longer you entertain it, the harder it will be to avoid. Run from it if you have to. The more you deny the flesh, and resist the devil, the easier it will be to avoid. It will become weaker. But God cant resist the devil for you. So spend intimate time daily in prayer and the word, developing a relationship with Jesus, and building a strong foundation. Its essential. The more you do that, the stronger you will become spiritually, and the easier it will be to avoid temptations when they arise. Be blessed

Why do u think God would cut you off? Thats not even biblical. He says, he will never leave or forsake you. Do you have relationship with Jesus? Are you born again? Because if you are, then you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. If you are stuck in willful sin, then repent, and get back up. Its how we respond that counts. And be sure you are spending intimate time daily in prayer and the word. Its essential. Read a few chapters a day, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, and to speak to you through scripture. He will teach you the word of God. After all, He is the author. The more time you spend with God, the stronger spiritually you will be, and the Holy Spirit will give you that assurance of salvation. Dont give up, He has a special purpose for you. Be blessed

Im diagnosed schizophrenic. How do I differentiate God's word from the devils? I was in a psych unit for around 80 days and every day I would read from the Bible. For years I thought I was openly communicating with God and the devil. But there's also the aspect of my mind. I believe my subconscious mind displays what I am subconsciously thinking on the pages of my Bible. This is also true I believe with most of my reality that I see and hear. Your advice is highly appreciated. Iv talked with pastors, doctors, psychiatrists about this but to no prevail
I appreciate you reaching out and seeking truth in the midst of your struggles. First and foremost, you need to make sure that you have truly placed your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. When we do, He sends the Holy Spirit to live inside of us. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and helper-He will transform your heart and mind, guiding you into truth (John 16:13).
It's important to remember that the enemy is a deceiver (John 8:44), but the Holy Spirit gives us discernment to distinguish between what is true and what is false. You are not meant to rely on your own mind or feelings alone, but on the unchanging Word of God. The Bible is not shaped by your subconscious thoughts-it is the living and active Word of God (Hebrews 4:12), and it speaks truth regardless of our emotions or mental state.
I encourage you to stay grounded in Scripture, but also to ask God for clarity and peace. If voices or impressions bring fear, confusion, or condemnation, they are not from God (2 Timothy 1:7). God's voice aligns with His Word and brings peace, conviction (not condemnation), and love.
You are not alone in this, and I pray that the Holy Spirit brings you clarity, peace, and the ability to discern His voice above all else. Keep seeking Him, and He will guide you (Jeremiah 29:13). Spend time daily in prayer and the word, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand, and to speak to you through scripture. Its essential. But the Holy Spirit is the key. Be blessed

Kinda beside the subject here, I just feel like sharing something. First of all, this channel seems pretty based.
That being said, I feel like I'm kinda stuck watching scripture stuff on youtube, my feed is just full of it. I just wanna remind people experiencing the same to lay it off for a while and start applying what you've learned, maybe reset your recommendations on yt. Something I gotta do or I'm gonna lose my mind soon. Gotta start living it and sticking to the paper and ink book for a while.
I completely get what you’re saying, and you’re absolutely right-there comes a point when we need to step away from simply consuming content and start living out what we’ve learned. But even more than that, we need to make sure we’re learning from the right source. RUclips can be helpful, but it’s not our teacher-the Holy Spirit is.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth (John 16:13). That means we need to spend time in God’s Word, not just watching videos about it, but asking the Holy Spirit to open our understanding and speak to us through Scripture. It’s in those quiet moments with God, reading His Word and seeking Him in prayer, that real transformation happens.
So, take that step-reset your focus, open your Bible, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. He’s the best teacher, and He’ll give you exactly what you need. 1 John 2:27 says:
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."...... Be blessed
