I was at the game when Fisher hit that shot with .4 seconds left. BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!! The rivalry between the spurs and lakers was crazy back then, and as a Lakers fan it felt amazing being there for that game.
fisher had this big big game 3 in boston in 2010. he hit the big 3s vs orlando in 2009 ... he hit a lot of iconic shots. hes definitly a big big reason why the lakers won 2 out of 3 between 08-10.thank you derek Fisher u are my mvp

Wow, I am from the UK and look who is on here Derrick Fisher, wow, amazing, what a legend in the game, who helped Kobe and Shaq to win rings. Fisher went on to get 5 Rings. I also remembered in the early 1990s many NBA sport casters talking about this Byron Scott who was injured and an important piece of the puzzle for the Show Time Lakers, I was very curious. But what another legend in the Lakers Organisation.
Sir byron Scott the mychal THOMPSON acquisition was in 1987 not 1985! 1985 we avenged us GIFTING THE CELTICS THAT CHAMPIONSHIP IN 1984! STILL BOTHERS ME TO THIS DAY & IM 52 YEARS OLD!
I love this interview especially him and Kobe were the ones that introduced me to the NBA for the Lakers. When Derek said it’s weird to talk about Kobe in past tense cause it doesn’t feel like he’s gone. I agree on it Kobe was the heart and soul of Los Angeles I’m glad they kept in touch even after Fisher got traded that’s a true friend & teammate.
as a lifetime laker fan, and fan of B-Scott (who I wanted my parents to name by lil brother after. His name was to close to mine (Bryan)), I love this interview. Also cool story about #2 vs #4 jersey. Hope to meet both of these guys some day at a card show or something to get an autograph or photo!
Man between having the hat on and just being older I could barely recognize the fish man but I know it's him that was my boy watching all those games on live TV back then man!
The Second Line tribute New Orleans orchestrated for Franky Beverly stands as a monumental testament to his legacy. My community honored a true cultural luminary in a manner that felt both sacred and celebratory. Franky Beverly is woven into the tapestry of our heritage, like exquisite royal fabric, uniquely designed to resonate with the soul. As the ultimate party-ender, he encapsulated the essence of togetherness, providing a majestic conclusion to gatherings, events, and celebrations. Franky Beverly and Maze transcended mere entertainment; they elevated our spirits and connected us to our higher selves. Their music radiated peace and grace, creating an electric atmosphere where joy and reflection coalesced. Lakers made a big mistake letting Ariza go after the 2009 chip. I disagree that they needed Artest to guard Pierce. Ariza was an excellent defender, could shoot the 3 and unlike Artest, could run on the fast break and keep the offense from being stagnant. The lakers-Mavs series in 2011 would have been different if Ariza was still on the team. Lakers should have paid Ariza his ask during free agency negotiations.
