JJ is partially right in that I have stopped watching First Take and Inside because real analysis is being superceded by reactionary opinions. Basketball has been the biggest passion of my life. Love the game. It is not the media. Money, greed, and entitlement at all levels of the NBA has ruined the game. I have gone to see 4 games in the last 3 years to see my favorite players… 3 of the 4 the visiting team sat the franchise player with no notice and I wasted my money. Sat for rest, knee soreness, back to back, etc. 100% guaranteed contracts… TV, players and management. style of play is an issue, but I am really tired of the flopping, bitching about every call, faking the intensity of pain so they review calls which delays the game, referees have become too influential in the game. The old saying is true… there is no I in team… but the league is about “I” and not the team and certainly not about the fan. $400-800 for a family to go to a game, and the product isn’t delivering that value. It will correct itself. The fan is making their voice heard.
