@@ArmourGXthey dont just outshine every game. It's not even close. I didnt really like playing the game but there's no denying that it is one of the greatest achievements ever in video games.
It’s how Rockstar do things these days. There’s a reason their games take so long and cost so much to develop. Not to discredit other games, lots of great games (lots of shit as well) but Rockstar games have a different sense of realism and attention to detail. For anyone worrying or complaining about GTA 6, I can assure you… it’ll be extremely high quality, just look at RDR2, and that’s not even Rockstars main title.
And yet, the police system from it is shit, the shooting outdated and tons of missions are too scripted. Division 1, for example, has way better shooting mechanics than RDR2. But hey, Division was trying to be an amazing shooter, that's why it is better. RDR2 is trying to... look like real life, with a ton of minor details. So RDR2 is still outdated in lots of things, but it pleases the gamers that like to pretend games are about graphics and minor details.
Main takeaway for me is that Avatar looks like it'd be pretty fun. Love the sound of the assault rifle just after the five minute mark too. I'll catch it on sale.
Rdr2 online with a group of people is amazing and hilarious, the bar fight mission with your friends is one of the best gaming experiences of all time.
it is so sad that they made RDR2 and an amazing story and a good online setting, they got it started in a awesome direction then abandoned the game, red dead could have really held people over till gta 6 if they would have actually put more into the online like they did gta 5. but they didn't I played for weeks and got bored because i did everything and bought everything worth buying in game i hit level 100 then i stopped playing because it got so dull. I came back after every update for a little while then stopped again. I was waiting for the big update. they finally dropped the bounty hunting and trading a played another week then found out they was abandoning it, It left me very disappointed still to this day. i wish there was new content i could boot up and play. with a posse man that was some fun times I had a full posse every night.
Nah it probably couldnt, if it could they wouldnt abandon it. Rockstar invested a lot into RDR2 obviously expecting Online to hold people over until GTA6 just like you say, it just wasnt doing good enough to not abandon, RDR was always a more niche game series than GTA because of a unique setting so they did not abandon RDRO and then it flopped, it flopped initially and then Rockstar tried beating this dead horse with a defibrilator for a while in hopes of it getting up and then realised it wasnt going to succeed as expected so they abandoned it, not to say that the amount of content they could've produced with it was fairly limited because the setting of the wild west is limitting itself. Its a good game, very sad it had to be that way but big market sharks such as Rockstar Games will always see value of greatness in US dollars and I cant really blame them for that
Its actually really disappointing to me that they did not spend more time making this game better. It looks and plays like a game from 2016. After the shocking quality of the first movie, and then like 11 year wait to see the second one, I feel they should have put more effort in this game to match the elegance of the movie.
I m having so much fun with Avatar. Blowing up flying stations and jumpin off just before it explodes then calling my ikran to fly off... Damn the game offers really nice mechanics when you start using them. Hope Ubisoft will get better and also that their ingame shop just fails so that they ll stop this crap.

I wish people would stop comparing games that have nothing in common in one another. And if you're focusing on physics, at least make sure they are on the same engine. The only thing in common between them is that they happen to be open world. But on that premise, you could compare RDR2 to Breath of the Wild, or Spider-man, or Batman Arkham Knight, or Skyrim.
I think the comparison is unfair, they are two excellent games (RDR2 is one of my favorites) but the proposal of each one is different. One has a fantasy proposal for all ages, the other has a realistic proposal aimed at an adult audience.
This game feels better to play than any other game ive ever played. Even RDR2 isnt as fluid as the new avatar game. Everything just works exactly how you'd expect it to and the parkour is S tier. Red dead still my favorite game but we can't use that as the standard since no other game has matched that level of depth yet.
Yea Avatar is awesome, I love the double jump and the charged jump/dash. The rock climbing is incredible. It's so fast, and o told someone it reminds me of titanfall 2 and they didn't understand how, but it does, cause the NAVI are so graceful and fast. I also love the stealth play with the bases. And it's the best bow and arrow in gaming, PERIOD.
Both are gorgeous and it's impressive how RDR2 is still the benchmark after many years now. Btw the main takeaway from this are the audio effects, which was hinted to me by several reviewers. The audio effects and production in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are top notch, it's like ASMR: the game. So crisp and satisfying.
It's so fantastic that Ubisoft deliver such great games in less time. These guys have talented people working in their studios. I wish the higher ups corps could understand the core basics of how a game works instead of trying to milk money as soon as possible.
They know how to develop, but an example is Skull&Bones: there are people giving them money to develop the game and they want that faster and with decent quality... So yeah... It is like asking a cook to bring you a dish in 5 minutes at a restaurant. He will do the best he can, but the reality si that he need time to let Pasta Cook.
@@Broodjemetbeleg not really. The game is gorgeous, the movement is fluid and satisfying, and I honestly love the bow play so much that I haven't even used the guns but maybe like.. once or twice. Flying on the Ikran is fantastic, and the ambient sound design is crazy. Being able to feel and hear the human machines tearing up the land really immerses you in the experience especially.

But if you want, go see for yourself, I could be completely wrong, and I hope I am because I plan on giving the game a shot in the future. RDR2 and the rest of the gaming world. Graphics, storyline, look at how Rockstar puts their time and dedication into building a game. So impressive and incomparable.
Crazy that red dead still outshines most games five years later
I'd argue every game, not just most. Visually stunning and an amazing open world that actually feels alive.
@@ArmourGXthey dont just outshine every game. It's not even close. I didnt really like playing the game but there's no denying that it is one of the greatest achievements ever in video games.
i think the only dev team that can outclass rockstar's products is rockstar themselves, here's to 2025 🥂🥂
It’s how Rockstar do things these days.
So RDR2 is still outdated in lots of things, but it pleases the gamers that like to pretend games are about graphics and minor details.
it will take another 5 years for any game to even match RDR2, in terms of realism and physics.

it is so sad that they made RDR2 and an amazing story and a good online setting, they got it started in a awesome direction then abandoned the game, red dead could have really held people over till gta 6 if they would have actually put more into the online like they did gta 5. but they didn't I played for weeks and got bored because i did everything and bought everything worth buying in game i hit level 100 then i stopped playing because it got so dull.
Its a good game, very sad it had to be that way but big market sharks such as Rockstar Games will always see value of greatness in US dollars and I cant really blame them for that
Majority of GTA or RDR players play it offline
you was dissapoint because RD online don't make you fun right, no problem, i think because they would be focused for GTA 6 project full time

Its actually really disappointing to me that they did not spend more time making this game better. It looks and plays like a game from 2016. After the shocking quality of the first movie, and then like 11 year wait to see the second one, I feel they should have put more effort in this game to match the elegance of the movie.

The fact that people are STILL discovering things in RDR2 is proof that it's just on a WHOLE other LVL of game design!!!!...

Rdr2 is by far the best polished game ever created
This game feels better to play than any other game ive ever played. Even RDR2 isnt as fluid as the new avatar game. Everything just works exactly how you'd expect it to and the parkour is S tier. Red dead still my favorite game but we can't use that as the standard since no other game has matched that level of depth yet.

It's so fast, and o told someone it reminds me of titanfall 2 and they didn't understand how, but it does, cause the NAVI are so graceful and fast. I also love the stealth play with the bases.
So yeah...
