- Up2Stream is a small electronic module which you can easily install into your old and active speaker systems, transforming them into a WiFi / Airplay receiver and stream music wirelessly. It has very similar features to SONOS and other excellent features listed below:

00:00 - Unboxing the Up2Stream source kit module, designed by RAKOIT
00:18 - You will need a small aluminum enclosure, wifi antenna, RP-SMA Female To U.FL IPX 1.13 Pigtail Cable, a pair of RCA panel mount connector, DC socket jack, and a blank circuit board. You may use other straight and flat plastic sheet or panel.
01:30 - Start drilling the circuit board and aluminum enclosure for mounting the electronic components.
02:02 - Plastic wall tax or plastic wall plugs are excellent alternative for circuit board footing and isolation.
03:10 - Cut to length the included audio and dc power cables.
03:24 - Mount every electronic components and start soldering.
03:35 - Tighten every mounting nuts using pliers.

08:32 - Up2Stream module is control-independent. Keeps on playing and streaming on its own even app is disconnected.
08:55 - Apple Airplay supported. Make Up2Stream as an external audio output hardware from any Apple devices.
10:35 - Up2Stream continuously play from the last streaming source even if the AC power is interrupted.

Good idea with the standoff's ... I have a ton of those just laying around , left over from other purchases.... Now I know exactly what I should do with them lol. I have a few old laptops I wanted to break out of their cases due to thermal issues , and NOW I have some standoffs .

You can use a vacume cleaner to pop up the dust cap.
I tried but it won't. I just buy dust cap and replace.
Lol I used the same you tube video for my new studio speakers. Was ok. Better when I played some FLAC through it

As long as you are connected to the same WiFi, there is no limit on the number of people you can control through the APP. Our App: 4STREAM
How is the sound quality? Is there anything you did to increase the quality?
Sound quality will depend on the connected amplifier. This device only delivers the streamed content.
After using the mobile app to set up board into the home network, is the mobile app still required to be running in order to stream music from whichever sources? Or, can the app be deleted off the phone, and this board is recognised like a chromecast or something for a android phone?
Hello. Nice question. Yes it acts like Chromecast. Every popular app will be streamed into it. It continuously plays a playlist even if the commanding phone or tab or computer is turned off or closes the app.

Depending on the service, a Chromecast directly accesses music databases on the internet. It's basically a computer that runs a web browser.
what's the added befit of the device over Bluetooth dongles that do the same thing, and can also be used in cars without Bluetooth.. Other than being a fun DIY project

Technically there is. Even wired connected devices has latency. But you can't even feel, like there's nothing.

Hello Pedro, you must having an electrical ground loop which creating the humming or buzzing. Isolate your AC sources by not mixing into same outlet may solve and remove the background noises.
@@chrclmnky thanks for the the fast reply. I used the NTE1 audio transformers and 2xresistors 100 Ohm (one per channel) and the buzz and humming it is practically gone. I don't know if there is any other solution. How to isolate the AC sources? Br,

Hello Patricio how are you. The aluminum enclosure was purchased at Aliexpress and having the dimensions 100x76x35mm. You can find so many aluminum enclosures there in Aliexpress or any online stores near you.

@@CoolAcid Chromecast audio is no longer available. Wondering that it wouldn't show as an audio device in the Home App. Even my not by Google Supported Denon Reciver is been showed as an audio device.

Hello Joa, yes, this device is designed to play streaming services like Spotify, Deezer, TunIn, iHeartRadio, etc... You can even leave it playing an album or playlist and it just continues playing even your phone or pc is not in command anymore.

So why wouldn’t you just buy the cheaper audiocast or chromecast? Save the hassle of building it
Both of those require that you not only have a wifi connection, but addtionally have an internet connection, so that they can constantly communicate with mothership Google. If they lose contact with the mothership, they stop working - by design. I have a party bus that I use wfif streaming on to get better sound quality, and better connectivity compared to Bluetooth. I have a wifi router in there for folks to connect to, but no connection to the outside internet world. Thus, Google products will not work.
The Enetprof but you still need the muzo app for it to work ..I’m confused at what The difference is between a chromecast and this product ..both use wifi and connect the same way..via Spotify etc
