Met Don Galloway back in the 80s. A humble man. very down to earth nice guy.
this lady was one of the best Pyramid players ever...EVER!! She eventually won the $100K, and it was well-deserved! She knew this game as well as Dick Clark.
I knew this game too. But the contestant coordinators would never let me on the show. I tried out 9 times and never got on. And this was 40 years ago!!!

@@jmiller297 oh J...so sorry...well keep trying...you might just beat my 9 time attempt in the 80's but contestant coordinator Lisa Furubotten just never saw my worth.

Debbie Sepian was a BEAST on *"Pyramid!"* She deserved every, last penny of what she won!! Terrific!!
Her son posted she passed away on her 100K win you tube just a little while ago

If was 1980 we are now 40 years later
If they were 40 they are 80
Anything before that they are likely passed.
Is sad.
Sometimes after 1980.
Not everyone lives to 80.
I wish I could have met Dick Clark. I enjoyed American Bandstand, Pyramids, The Challengers, Winning Lines, Scattegories, TV Bloopers and Practical Jokes.

The true gold standard on '80s *"Pyramid"* IMHO, was Shelley Smith. She always delivered her clues with this direct, yet careful, "surgeon-like" precision...
Watch out for her shoulder pads, they could put an eye out! Lol.... ;-)
I wonder who the best Pyramid player was on Classic Pyramid, they all were good, even Don.

Yeah, and she goes on to mop the floor with the other contestants. She wins 7/8 rounds, finally getting it on her 7th try.
Billy Crystal was awesome. William Shatner had a sub-30 second time.
Her $100,000 win is no longer here - it apparently got Sonyed.

Well it's probably a better idea not to "scare" the contestants after they win. If he got overly enthusiastic, it may have had too much of a shock effect on her.
He was on Ironside - 'nuff said.
