Here is another playing of the Bonus Round from "The $100,000 Pyramid." See how they have played. Don Galloway is giving out the clues. Hosted by Dick Clark
this lady was one of the best Pyramid players ever...EVER!! She eventually won the $100K, and it was well-deserved! She knew this game as well as Dick Clark.
I knew this game too. But the contestant coordinators would never let me on the show. I tried out 9 times and never got on. And this was 40 years ago!!!
@@jmiller297 oh J...so sorry...well keep trying...you might just beat my 9 time attempt in the 80's but contestant coordinator Lisa Furubotten just never saw my worth.
@@morgan8757 I watch a lot of retro game shows -most or all are passed. Including the hosts! If was 1980 we are now 40 years later If they were 40 they are 80 Anything before that they are likely passed. Is sad. Sometimes after 1980. Not everyone lives to 80.
I wish I could have met Dick Clark. I enjoyed American Bandstand, Pyramids, The Challengers, Winning Lines, Scattegories, TV Bloopers and Practical Jokes.
The true gold standard on '80s *"Pyramid"* IMHO, was Shelley Smith. She always delivered her clues with this direct, yet careful, "surgeon-like" precision...
Well it's probably a better idea not to "scare" the contestants after they win. If he got overly enthusiastic, it may have had too much of a shock effect on her.
Met Don Galloway back in the 80s. A humble man. very down to earth nice guy.

@@chapter7thomas I've tried out for the new version with Michael Strahan four times, and so far, *BUPKIS.* :-(

@@chapter7thomas Lisa Furubotten... Part of the *O.G.* *"Pyramid"* administration!! #TheBobStewartdays #Awesome
Debbie Sepian was a BEAST on *"Pyramid!"* She deserved every, last penny of what she won!! Terrific!!
Her son posted she passed away on her 100K win you tube just a little while ago
She was so smart may she RIP
Wait a minute!!! Wait a minute!!!! The contestant is deceased??? How horrible.
thats a shame she was a so good

Watch out for her shoulder pads, they could put an eye out! Lol.... ;-)
I wonder who the best Pyramid player was on Classic Pyramid, they all were good, even Don.
Damn, that was quick.
She got into the tournament ON THE LAST MINUTE!!!!
...and *WON!!*
Incredible clues
Wow. I bet that guy could sell the hell out of a Mercedes.
Why not list Don Galloway's name?
It would be nice if any of the surviving contestants from past Pyramid shows could return for the current version.
What did Dick say at the beginning he made the "cardinal?
This female contestant with all over the place but when she was good she was very good.
Debbie Sepian looks a lot like Debbie Halston who Whammied out on ep. 495 of PYL.
WHOA HOW DID SHE GUESS THAT??
The game shows today have NOTHING on the old and the best ones.
jump IS A DEFINITE TRAP, i SEEN GIVER SAY hop, leap, skip.
Yeah, and she goes on to mop the floor with the other contestants. She wins 7/8 rounds, finally getting it on her 7th try.
Billy Crystal was awesome. William Shatner had a sub-30 second time.
Her $100,000 win is no longer here - it apparently got Sonyed.
Actually it is back on

An armcast...good job Don Galloway. But RIP
Good god, the last three subjects. JUMP was a trap for the synonyms. HILBILLY was tough. PLASTER was the hardest.
HILLBILLY was a trap, too, he could've said the HILLS
Arent elect and vote synonyms?
I do believe you're allowed to use synonyms in your clues.
I'm surprised for the hillbilly things he didn't say Jethro, Ellie Mae, cee-ment pond...
I thought corn cob pipes for one
@tpir1972 "Cardinal sin."
That Broad could play. If memory serves me correct she ended up Marrying Wink Martindale from Tic Tac Dough.
I guess Don's not an enthusiastic person. Lol

He was on Ironside - 'nuff said.
