Teresa in her first Pyramid appearances was a disaster, but she worked hard on getting better at the game and DID SO in a huge way. She ultimately became one of the best celebrity players and I love her for it. She should be heralded accordingly.
Maybe those early appearances were here before, but I haven't seen any - even including other video sites. The biggest "disaster" may have been when Meredith MacRae returned (she had appeared years earlier) to Pyramid and was shut out of the Winners Circle entirely.
I recently saw her first episode. Not "terrible", she just didn't get into the WC. Roxier Roker was also shut out one week. I wonder if there was ever a week in which nobody conquered the pyramid.
@@Hinch2011 Not really, the only hard one was the locket, the others were all very easy because they induced obvious trigger works (ie Alexander) for Great which is cinchy for any food player.
One year she won a lady the $100,000 If you type in Teresa gandel on RUclips and it comes up with the girl the contestant in the blue dress watch that She masterfully figures out some very difficult clues to give the girl and she gets it It's brilliant.
Just to give you an idea of what I mean the second to last clue that came up, was things that babble. Now consider that and how difficult that can possibly be she got the girl to guess it in 5 seconds.
The beginning is so funny Your assignment is to win this man 10,000 dollars!! Hmmm!! You'll do that!!! Ok! You got it!!! Ok!! I'm moving out!!! That she surely did lol
The judges were very particular. I believe "the wall in China" would've been zapped for using a preposition to describe "the wall", but "The Wall of China" should have been allowed, as the Wall of China is a single item. "China's Wall" would've been safest, since they almost always allowed possessive nouns without prepositions like that.
In God We Trust may have been questionable or possibly buzzed for “Dollar Bill” Monkeys would be another good clue for “Barrel” “A Wall of China” may also have been buzzed for “Things that are Great” . Acceptable clues may have been “expectations,” “China’s Wall,” “Michigan’s Lakes,” “Britain”
Teresa made a mistake before on the category parts of a locket where she said the chain the lock. You could tell she was thinking about that hoping not to repeat that mistake again
@@biruss It's not synonymous, but it conveys part of the answer... so they certainly would buzz that. But you never know... They buzzed Levar Burton for saying "Across" in things in a crossword puzzle, and then took it back.
I cannot agree that this was an extremely hard board. The bottom row was hard for a bottom row. "..floor" was the $250 box in the first part of the "Ron/Barbara" episode on dailymotion. However, "..barrel" and "..great" while perhaps a little harder than the lower categories, were not hard for end categories. ".great" was the $200 box in one of the "what not to do" clips.
The way she said the final two words in the final category, pure brilliance. Just leads the contestant right into the obvious answer.

A fantastic exciting win with terrific clues given by a wonderful lady and adorable as well!!!!!
This was brilliant. the pyramid...Alexander... fantastic!!! I’d so suck at this game
If every man had a Teresa Ganzel, war could go to hell. 💯💖
Honestly, Teresa was smart with this EVIL board from bottom to top! This in my honest opinion was a borderline $100,000 board.
Holy crap were some of those subjects difficult.

10 seconds on the clock to come up with Pyramids and Alexander. I mean, it's not quite Shelley Smith but impressive AF if you ask me
Love her reaction to the win! "Yes!"
ALEXANDER!!! Simply brilliant.
The beginning is so funny
Your assignment is to win this man 10,000 dollars!!
Hmmm!!
You'll do that!!!
Ok!
You got it!!!
Ok!!
I'm moving out!!!
That she surely did lol
WOW!! I would've said frosted flakes.
See other vid - guy tried, but it didn't work.
@@GS-fy9mn Britain and The Gatsby would have worked better.
@@GS-fy9mn I think that was because he used ARE as well.
Teresa was dynamite at this game...
Awww. such a great show... classy, fun and intense!
I always wanted to give her a big hug too
It is said this board was hard, but the top one in the next round was OUTRAGEOUS things. I think that is a great deal more difficult than GREAT.
The five North American Lakes. That came into my mind for "great"... but of course I look out my window and I can see one of them.
graperonto they did attempt to say The 5 lakes. Did not get that one either
"Alexander"....great clue@
"Your grandmother's mother." "Your grandmother's father."
Had I had time I would have tried Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario...
@@Lava1964 You shouldn't try "Superior". Henry Pollack got buzzed for that and was not a happy Pyramid player
@@63utuber that was Charlie Siebert

“The famous Chinese Wall”
Yeah, I would have just said the wall of china.
The wall of China, Balls of Fire, The Gatsby, The outdoors!
Peter & Catherine of Russia!
Expectations
That's what I was thinking! I was thinking the EXACT same thing. (The Great Walls Of China)
@@tuxtommy69 That's right, How could I have forgotten that. Catherine the great!!! 😉😉😉😍😍
You can't say, "The Wall Of China". It's a prepositional phrase. You can say, "The China Wall".
WHOA!! How'd he get that?? WHOA!!
He saw the reflection in Teresa Ganzel's contact lenses
Alexander, such a great clue!
Alexander was brilliant! Gatsby would have been a good clue as well…
Kelloggs Frosted Flakes
For this one in the stahan, Michael version. Did not get that one
The 1929 Depression.
If she listed Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Superior, Lake Ontario, for great, would she have gotten buzzed?
Okay, $10,000?? Hell, as mean as that Pyramid was, they should have just forked over the extra 90 thou, right then and there!! Epic win, though... :-)
She is really good!
"Dollar Bill"- In God We Trust
"Barrel"-Monkeys
"Things that are great"-Jupiter's Red Spot, A Wall of China, Frosted Flakes
Not sure with wall of China. Prepositions
In God We Trust may have been questionable or possibly buzzed for “Dollar Bill”
Monkeys would be another good clue for “Barrel”
“A Wall of China” may also have been buzzed for “Things that are Great” . Acceptable clues may have been “expectations,” “China’s Wall,” “Michigan’s Lakes,” “Britain”
@@wns808 in god we trust “buzzz” wall of China is ok. “Of” is the exception to that rule. Like capital of New York for example.
"Gatsby" could have worked too
@gameshowfreak2007, that would've been descriptive, CHINA WALL would've been allowed.
The way he kisses 😘 her and the look whit passion I love it 🥰
Wow. They did NOT want to give the money away on that one.
I dont see why not because she used Alexander as a clue
i need a ruling...on the last subject, if she had said "Gastby", would that have been an illegal clue, since that was he was known as?
Alexander was ok so Gatsby should be
I would say "NO" that it's not an illegal clue
Britain and the Barrier Reef
Anyone ever notice Ganzel and the contestant's hot friend are wearing almost the same top?
In Michael strahan version, same position for things that are great. Did not get that one.
I would've said Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, the Wall of China...
She seemed more tense and nervous than the contestant
"The Chinese Wall"
I knew this guy - Joe - back in the mid 90's in LA
Was that his boyfriend onstage with him?
@@skipeastport5529 My guess, too.
