BYU vs. SMU Game Highlights | 2024 ACC Football

The Mustangs lost to the visiting Cougars, 18-15. BYU's Will Ferrin kicked a game-winning 26-yard field goal with 1:58 left in the game. The SMU defense forced three turnovers but failed to score off any of them. SMU kicked Collin Rogers set a school record with five made field goals, including a 53 and a 52-yard kick. Running back Brashard Smith had 116 all-purpose yards. For BYU, quarterback Jake Retzlaff went 15-28 for 202 yards and a touchdown, with 10 carries for 35 yards.

Smu is a glorified G5 program that doesn’t deserve to be in a P4 conference.

There's no reason SMU can't compete in the ACC, with the likes of Wake and Duke in the Conference. They won the AAC last year, no small feat. In the NIL era, being in Dallas is a tremendous asset.
