One was Nelson (?) causing the interception and the punter Vander Har's great run. I wouldn't want to pick between those 2. It was a fun game. Take note that Kansas State just beat Oklahoma State who was #20. We should send those guy a thank you note.
A lot of people don’t realize how big of a win this is for byu even if it was closer than it should’ve been. BYU is 1-12 in their last 13 ten o’clock games. I’ll take a win where I can get them in the heat of Texas at 10 am local time in Provo
Any fanbase should be fairly comfortable with a 21 point lead… but that’s the thing, we’re BYU fans. I swear this team has aged me by at least 20 years😭
#6 from Baylor has next-level speed. Check out the delayed release pattern( 8:02 to 8:06) to see how fast he gets from the 12 yard line to the end zone to get the TD reception. What a great BYU victory especially against a team with superior speed.
This BYU team is weird to me. They've exceeded virtually all expectations to this point, have beat the spread in every game, and have shown statistical improvement across the board compared to last year. 5-0 right now when we were predicted to win around 4 games total. Yet...I still don't really know how I feel about them. LOTS to clean up. They definitely have potential to make this a special season, but there needs to be far more consistency in all three phases. Even the defense struggled today. All that being said...this has been a very fun year so far. Too much drama at times, yes, but it's been a lotta fun. Team is a resilient bunch. Their grit has won games when past teams would have collapsed. Let's hope it stays that way!
Definetely. All of the wins have been strange games with bursts of greatness and periods of complete collapse. The defense is pretty consistent at least
That's exactly what I saw! Baylor last touch down shouldn't have even counted! And that Pass Interferance call was wrong too! It wasn't perfect but that wss a solid win for BYU. I'm glad they had enough of a lead to absorb those bad calls!
BYU, awesome plays. The defense, my gosh so good not to mention offense which is stellar. Really tough Baylor team keeps BYU fans on their feet. Great game either way.
I'm so impressed with Robertson, amazing that he started the year as backup - I know it often happens. Very talented arm, great athlete, smart and patient. I think he can bring Baylor's season back. Some incredible catches by his receivers as well.
how any OC doesn't target chase roberts more than 3 times, is beyond me. this guy will end up playing in the NFL - he has got the intangibles. Arod, you gotta throw the ball more...your running game isn't there most of the time.
Wonder why Roberts wasn't used as much. Maybe they wanted a different plan and go with Lassister to throw baylor off or Roberts taking a rest to recover.
I'm surprised they didn't challenge that, too. His foot had just lifted up as he caught it and then landed out of bounds. I think their argument is that the foot came up slightly after he caught it, but it's close and certainly worth a closer look.
Were people saying that? I didn't see it. Baylor's two losses were in overtime to a solid CO team and by 3 points at Utah. Baylor is good. They very easily could've come into this game undefeated.
Baylor is the first team that BYU has faced that had the passing attack to test their defense. And they were tested. But they held up enough. I think it's safe to say that BYU is a good football team at this point. Probably not undefeated or Big 12 Champion good, but they're good.
If the offense keeps collapsing like that BYU will be lucky to get to 7 games. This team lives and dies withe Retzlaff. And he is making way too many mistakes late in games. However I will take a moment to enjoy a 5-0 start great job.
@Rookie_Mode2023 Colorado just getting in the swing of things they only getting better. BYU has a few things to get right and I'm sure they will fix it by next game....I don't see anyone beating these 2 teams when it's all said and done
I’m relatively new to Football and am watching BYU as I have a dynasty with them. Does anybody else think retzlaff is an unreal QB and will be good in the NFL? Or am I thinking that because I’m a casual?
Just depends on which game you watch tbh. He makes some weird decisions, and seems a liability as often as an asset. Amazing first half for him there though, hope we can see more of that
DB's need a lot of work for BYU. Get your hand up when the WR's hand goes up and quit overrunning your coverage. Also, they need to keep 1-2 blitzes going on 2nd or 3rd down...there was absolutely zero pressure on Baylor's QB.
The worst call of the game was before Cameron’s first TD, where they called pass interference. Dude shoved 24, forcing him to grab hold of him, clearly push off. They don’t show that here but I was livid, those types of calls change games (and changed todays)
I’m so sick of running the ball on 2nd and 10 after an incomplete pass on first down. It’s like the OC doesn’t understand the flow of the game at all. Retz is not an efficient QB run the ball should be the first option!
Go back 30 to 40 years and watch college football games, and you will not see all the ridiculous post-touchdown celebrations that you see everyone doing today. They just did their job back then, what was expected of them, and they did not call attention to themselves for doing so.
Which player impressed you the most in this matchup?
Connor Pay

Sawyer Robertson or Hal Pressly
@@wbball15Agreed. The game totally changed when he went out. A bunch of low snaps messing up the timing of plays. Not as good protection.

Thank you!! Everyone is being so negative
with how today played out I’m glad we’re not part of the many upset teams.
Any fanbase should be fairly comfortable with a 21 point lead… but that’s the thing, we’re BYU fans. I swear this team has aged me by at least 20 years😭
Same. I feel like my life expectancy has been reduced by like 50%

Alabama after playing Georgia: “We understand your pain”
Somehow, they haven’t changed in 20 years either!

Listen to the crowd on the game-sealing interception. A LOT of BYU,fans there!
Baylor, can we talk about the brightness of that end zone?? 🕶️🕶️🕶️

Well said
Looked like offensive pi instead of defensive pi right before baylors td. And baylors other td was clearly out of bounds

Thanks for including the last part of the game! 👍🏻

Running was smart, maybe not so much up the middle at the end. But yes, Chase should be used more
And Kody Epps
Aaron Rogers needs to dump that counter run into the line. I don’t think BYU has ever gained a yard with it and it wastes a badly needed down.
chase roberts is not a nfl reciever haha
The announcers for this game were terrible and clearly in favor of Baylor. Call it impartially
I think For the most part Fox doesn’t care much for BYU
The other commenter was correct. FOX Sports and even ESPN do not care much for BYU, and they make that fact known every time they play.
Yeah.. even I was bugged.
I was looking for this comment. They could at least do a better job hiding it.
No kidding
Great win!
Cameron's catch for a TD shouldn't have been allowed. He clearly was out of bounds when he came down.
Yeah, maybe they thought because he established it before having full possession but I thought they’d call it back too
Stop whining. His foot was down with the catch before he jumped.
I'm surprised they didn't challenge that, too. His foot had just lifted up as he caught it and then landed out of bounds. I think their argument is that the foot came up slightly after he caught it, but it's close and certainly worth a closer look.
Congratulations to BYU 5-0 wins so far
Last week everyone was saying how bad Baylor was! We still saying that this week?!?
Were people saying that? I didn't see it. Baylor's two losses were in overtime to a solid CO team and by 3 points at Utah. Baylor is good. They very easily could've come into this game undefeated.
Baylor will win more games probably 6-6
@@gnielsen07I see Baylor finishing the season 5-7! No bowl for them
Is it me or every year BYU is winning 8-9 games, just keeping steady and getting it done

9-3

Those last 2 Baylor possessions is why you need a Shedeur Sanders at QB

Wow BYU was predicted to win only 6 games this year. It could still happen but I’m thinking they at least get to 9.
Actually, they were predicted to win 4.5 games.
@@justinhayward42Yeah it was definitely 4.5 before the season started.
They should be a surprise to the big shots.
It was only 4.5. People said being bowl eligible would've been a struggle (which is 6 games). Already exceeded expectations by a large margin.
Solid W for the Cougs
BYU vs deion in big 12 chip
Colorado's offense against BYU's defense is an interesting matchup, but I don't think they'll both survive that far into the season.

BYU vs Colorado for the Big12 championship????
Kicker for Baylor needs to train more. Was here in person and he disappointed Baylor fans.
Baylor reminds me of last year's Arkansas. Always puts up a fight but can never win all 4 quarters
0:37 if peeing your pants is cool… consider me…

Retzlaff is Taysom Hill with a better arm. If he makes an NFL roster, he'll be a career backup with a few spot starts.
Just depends on which game you watch tbh. He makes some weird decisions, and seems a liability as often as an asset. Amazing first half for him there though, hope we can see more of that

BYU applied pressure early.
Arod is a liability, Sitake needs to fire him asap if they want to keep winning games
you always risk bringing in someone worse mid season
Agreed. But they won't fire A-Rod if they keep winning.
Didn't his defense just mash KState the week before?
Stop giving the result away with the thumbnail image!
bruh there's no way the thumbnail indicates that BYU won, stop it 😂
That was not a TD @ 11:04.
21-0 then 28-7. And still almost lost the game. Can you imagine how scary BYU could be with a good head coach ?
Brainless comment
I get what your saying but ARod needs to go first, if the offense still collapses then Sitake should be fired. JHill is the reason we're 5-0 rn.
