I read somewhere there used to be a V from jamaica upper level to jamaica lower level program but I cant find any evidence of it. Theres a forest hills to jamaica center like this m program for the V line.
we're talking about Stienway Street but not why "Kosciuszko Street" is spelled "Kosciusko Street" in 9:32. Yes, I double-checked if it's wrong by looking at the subway map, and checked its Wikipedia page, and I can confirm it's spelled "Kosciuszko," not "Kosciusko".
That's the spelling the MTA has for kosciuszko st on their schedule strip map for the J/Z which is where I get the spelling. Regardless that name Is completely mispronounced because in polish(he's a polish poet) it's closer to kostushko
@Team Epiphany Tyler The E is express on queens Blvd cuz and E is Local on 8 avenue it makes a bit of local stops on queens Blvd then goes express between forest hills 71 av and queens plaza then goes local on 8 avenue
The 5 trains I had time to ride had the old announcements still. Same with the IRT. Hopefully in a few weeks itll be updated in more trains so itll be easier to record. I just dont have enough free time anymore to spend 2 to 3 hours catching the few updated trains
Tyshaun Brown-Todd The reason why the M goes through the City is the way the tracks are configured. On the Nassau Line, the tracks from the Williamsburg Bridge go south on the Nassau Street Line to Lower Manhattan, then reenter Brooklyn vía the Montague Street Tunnel. Past Essex Street, there is a two track connection that splits to go north via Chrystie Street. This then leads to the local tracks of the 6th Avenue Line. This then leads to the 53rd Street Tunnel and enters Queens through that tunnel. The M uses this tunnel. Also, how would your proposed line look? What’s the routing it would take because I don’t see any tracks through Central Queens connecting the Myrtle Line to the E line along the QBL.
JeremiahC99 I dont think you understood what I said. What Im saying was the M could just start at Forest Hills and go via the Archer Ave Line making a total of only 7 stops to Jamaica Center
Zelda Anthems & Gaming One service won’t revamp the whole system. My definition of revamping the system is construction of three small connection: -A two track connection under Spring Street between the Nassau Street Line and the 8th Avenue Line. -A two track East River Tunnel connecting the Whitehall Street station with the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street station. -A three track Tunnel under Jamaica Avenue linking Broadway Junction on the Fulton Street Line with the Jamaica Avenue El at Cypress Hills. The el between Broadway Junction and Cypress Hills on the J would be demolished. Here is the original map of my proposed service changes (Note: this is being revised as we speak): New Program for Action goo.gl/maps/UQx6aB8nd7JZ9Vfm8

Nice! Glad I could contribute.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 like how it hits both woodhaven stops
In both different pitches to
Nice video, thats a long route for this one M train though
The way how she say “VIAAAAAA..... THE J LINEEEE”
I love The New York City Subway
Imagine if there was an M program from Jamaica Center (E) to Jamaica Center (J).
I read somewhere there used to be a V from jamaica upper level to jamaica lower level program but I cant find any evidence of it. Theres a forest hills to jamaica center like this m program for the V line.
@@MrRailfan hmm wonder what a Manhattan bound M via the E would sound
Theres no announcement that I'm aware off :(
@@MrRailfan when does the M via 8th Av from Forest Hills start announcing "via the E line"?
@@7linearmy336 at 5 avenue
Why didn't they just extend it east via the E line?
Edit: That 14th Street transfer announcement makes me wanna just out my window.

inb4 there's an M program from Jamaica Center to Jamaica Center
Now that's a long trip, from what I recall they dont have a program from jamaica center (upper level)
Damn, I bet foamers would take the long ass trip lol
@atransithumanTo Manhattan and Brooklyn
What this Should Be:
Forest Hills - 71 Ave (E) (F) [M] [R]
75 Ave (E) (F) (M)
Kew Gardens - Union Tpke (E) (F) (M)
Briarwood (E) (F) (M)
Jamaica - Van Wyck (E) (M)
Sutphin Blvd - Archer Ave - JFK (E) (J) (M)
Jamaica Center - Parsons Archer [E] [J] [M] [Z]
But that program doesn't exist for some reason
@@R142Foamer It’s probably just an E shuttle program
M train Announcement has 2 Woodhaven Blvds 0:57 to 12:14
I would have said, "This is Woodhaven Boulevard-Slattery Plaza" for the former & "This is Woodhaven Boulevard-Jamaica Avenue" for the latter.
It says it different
Kinetic Fire no i think the queens blvd one comes from the E
Aaron Playzz Gamezz the R doesn’t use that station announcement
@Team Epiphany Tyler The E is express on queens Blvd cuz and E is Local on 8 avenue it makes a bit of local stops on queens Blvd then goes express between forest hills 71 av and queens plaza then goes local on 8 avenue
Also what a Loop lol !
I agree Such a long trip
Mr Railfan they also have one from Metropolitan 🤣
@@MrRailfan Yeah, just take the E or something
Why is the M train taking a long route to Jamaica? Can't the M train can reroute to the E line there?
yes
It could but there is no M program to jamaica center after 71 av. If there is, it must be a new splice
Great Video
Very interesting video
Nicee good morning !
It's interesting that the M train displays "via Jamaica Av" instead of just "via Jamaica".
That's because it travels on Jamaica avenue for a good portion on the J line
Broadway more thou
Did you mean to spell Steinway Street like that.
*Steinway
Does this program only exist via 63rd?
Theres a regular 53 st version too. I was surprised this existed
Huh? I thought they added the transfer announcements via Jamaica line, especially Woodhaven blvd
Not when I recorded this
@@MrRailfan alright, anyway nice video, especially the nostalgia videos
That ain’t 75th street at the end. That’s Cypress Hills station
You're right! For some reason my brain thought the next stop after crescent was 75 st! Ill make an annotation.
Mr Railfan but Annotations were discontinued due to the majority of youtube viewers using mobile instead of pc
No transfer at Woodhaven boulevard and broadway junction
No transfers were added in the program
And at suphin blvd JFK airport and Jamaica Center there Is a No Transfer available in this program
I’m near grand av - newtown and im also at that part in the video

Should’ve done Jamaica Center [E] to Jamaica Center [J]
I wish there was a program like that, i wouldve done it. I can splice it together but i dont like posting custom announcements
Okay cool
No Q10 announcement at 121
No transfers at all past myrtle.
Mr Railfan gotcha
tommrow do jay st metrotech
The M train could just go via the E line, and be a shuttle train to Jamaica Center
Tyshaun Brown-Todd Why?
JeremiahC99 Because why go through the city, and Brooklyn when the M could be there in 10 minutes via the E)
Tyshaun Brown-Todd The reason why the M goes through the City is the way the tracks are configured. Hey Do m train via the a line from metropolitan avenue to inwood 207th st via 8th avenue express
