My thing is...the Echo Show 15 was kinda suppose to be this, to some extent. So...a free firmware update to enable and use this UI on the 15 would be nice?
Great point. I installed Fully Kiosk Browser on my Echo Show 15 and display my SharpTools dashboards on it. That was before they started locking them down though.

yes, but the 15 inch show is already 2 years old now. No wonder why they don´t take care of it. Always buy products including the features and not assuming, that the features will be added.
I think they are planning to do that.
Alexa is definitely one of the most easiest ecosystems. As long as they can continue to update and make routines more capable, there is no reason to get into the competitors and having to learn how to code just to program a routine/automation

What's the difference between Echo Hub and Echo Show 8?
The Echo Hub is suppose to be a full on smart display with a dashboard to manage everything. Lights Cameras Media Control Routines etc. The Echo Show 8 is a Smart display that is really just to show information visuals and photos. like the weather and other stuff

So does the security system only work with ring? My echo show cant run vivints app to arm and disarm my security system. Only does voice command. Being able to integrate with 3rd party security systems would make this perfect

Amazon doesn’t get enough credit but they lowkey have the best Smart Control devices. I wish I could show ppl just how easy it is to control any smart home device using Alexa.
I hope the home settings in Alexa app will be improved. Its a mess to configure

But I was waiting for a new echo show 15 during this event. A better camera up to 12 pixels and the AI integrated like the new echo show 8.
And of course a thinner tablet.

Wonderful, yet another "hub" that promises to be the centre of my smart home. So what happens to all the other "Show" devices now, specifically the Show 15? Do we just ignore the promises that were made regarding that and buy yet more stuff Amazon? You've promised this over and over again and every generation, it's as if the former never happened with you. Well, I'm done... Home Assistant here I come.
