Dream car for a decade. Been in the 2012 then 2016 VW GLI (love them! Now 16 year kid has the 2016) awaiting opportunity to get my 2024 RS3. Got it 3 weeks ago! Unfortunately I’m with the with last stages of terminal cancer (got car Saturday morning and hospital Saturday evening again but got 2 launches in!) so I can’t drive anymore and wasn’t even at 1,000 miles. So, wife gets a new daily commute.
This gen 3 2024 with the options is perfection, head to toe. I didn’t see him use launch mode and that shaves another .5 seconds, but he is spot on. It’s the emotional experience you get with it. The ‘18-‘22 gen 2 was great but needed a little more tuning. Well, you get that with this gen 3. Understeer has been fixed and all the little things tuned just right. Like he said, you will always WANT the curvy way home, but hit the RS button and back into comfort mode to get 33-34 mpg on straight cruise control highway. LANE centering is in full effect as well.
Perfect daily commute with the standard hidden Audi super car killer.
IF you’re able to get a gen 3 (‘23- ), grab it! Audi is full electric in 2030 and while there are rumors on a gen 4 RS3, I wouldn’t risk it.
If Audi goes full electric in 2030, THIS will become a highly sought collectors car!
Hope I can get one last exit of the hospital to enjoy this gem, and I’ll see all of you all on the flip side someday! Cheers!

Great video. I do have one correction, however. My understanding is that the AWD system is not rear biased, as you suggest. Rather, the AWD system is front biased, and can send up to 50% of available power to the rear differential. In Audi's "torque rear" mode, it can send 100% of the rear axle power (which is never more.of 50% of total engine output) to either rear wheel. There is no RWD mode in this vehicle. This is evident in the video when you're sliding around your back yard - please note that the front wheels are also spinning in that demonstration.

Actually, the voice commands worked perfectly. You can say that the POI (Points of Interest) saved in the nav are lacking for not having your local shop but it did show you coffee shops as you requested and they were listed in by distance. And you can add your own in every nav system which would fix the problem.
You would have to check what software is being used. I believe Audi/VW/BMW/Mercedes/Hyundai etc. use Here maps. Just an FYI.

Maybe you are confusing which maps are used when you use Android Auto? For a long time Here maps was one of the best options out there. It still might be for actual directions and map accuracy but their point of interest info is obviously behind compared to the others.
Thankfully, POI's can be manually entered and saved so it's not a deal breaker. And of course you could still link your phone to use Apple Carplay or Android Auto and skip the built-in nav maps entirely since those systems use Apple Maps/Google Maps.

@@-.__.__.-RadDo research bud! Best engine, and best driving RS model ever besides the R8😂

    • @-.__.__.-Rad
      @-.__.__.-Rad 7 месяцев назад

@@speeddemon311 I never argued that point - it is a great car considering the compromise, also that 5 cylinder is my favorite. Now, with your extensive research, I assume you're well aware all audi's are great not because of how sporty they are and how well they handle... But more so because of their design and their ability to offer a complete package, a balance between comfort-sport-practicality...
Also, "best driving" might have to do more with how light this is, compared to the rest of the RSs - I really don't think that the orientation of the engine is the main benefit here....
So thanks for the suggestion, but just remember, when you mention "best" you should also mention "amongst audi"
      "best driving"

New cars in 2023 are all stupidly expensive. What makes this overpriced is what you get for the same money from bmw, Hyundai (yikes but ev6 ) or even per dollar a GR Corolla.
