Aquarium park is (in my opinion) the best level in colors. The aesthetic and music is so beautiful and chill. The level design isn’t the best in the game, but it’s great on its own.
Sweet Mountain is my favorite level in colors but Aquarium Park is my second favorite. To be fair, all the levels in Sonic colors are beautiful and pretty fun to play trough. Also the game has a great soundtrack!

I remember back when this was released, at the time, I was a VERY casual gamer, my wife brought me the DS version as a gift and I legitimately thought it was the only version. I was quite surprised to find out later the Wii version was different lol
I think most of the problem with Roger's performance in Colors was down to the direction, because he had proven, before then, that he could voice act, and voice act well.

With Sonic Colors DS being my introduction to the series back when I was 6 years old, Colors has a special place in my heart. Unleashed is definitely my favorite (Jason Griffith best v.a., change my mind), but Colors is right on par with it. I may find the "humor" to be cringey at best now, but back when I first got the wii version (around 2011-2012) I thought it was the funniest thing ever. With a lot of people now turning to Colors as a bad game, I was super happy to see it get some positive attention again. Congrats on 100k as well! Very much well deserved!

That's only because the original game it's a 'remaster' of is good. It's like if people praised Halo CE Anniversary as good because of the general gameplay. Everything Anniversary adds or changes is a downgrade, or bad.
You know as cool as the dark boost is, I think it would’ve been cooler if you would unlock metal sonic as a playable skin as a reward for beating all of his races. Even if the game developers didn’t want metal to be playable in the main stages they could’ve had him as a playable character in game land. I mean come on game land is a world where you play as robot sonics, metal sonic would be perfect for that!

The Mystery with these Wisps are what do they so while they're inside Sonic's tummy? Why do they only go inside him through his tummy? And what makes them so tired they fall asleep inside him like they did in Sonic Lost World when he doesn't use their power?

I would prefer to be wrong but I don't think there's going to be a patch to fix the problems. They couldn't be bothered to fix Classic Sonic's roll in Forces losing all momentum on upward slopes even when building up to maximum speed on a downward slope. This port has way more problems than Forces did.
My favorite stage has to be Asteroid Coaster. Aside from the amazing aesthetic that reminded me this game was set in an amusement park, the pure spectacles and ideas that this level introduces put me in awe. From riding on a deadly rollercoaster to smashing into asteroids and running around spherical planetoids ala Mario Galaxy, not to mention the cool anti-gravity segments, this level never has a dull moment.
It's like calling Cyberpunk 2077 a lovable mess; if it's a broken mess and gives people seizures, I don't think that can be lovable... It seems like most positive compliments towards Colors Ultimate can just be said about the original, so I wouldn't say the remaster differences are lovable; the original one is the thing that's lovable.
Those seizure glitches were revealed to be a person faking them for clout by using emulators, they even ended up deactivating their account. I’ve played through the entire thing and only ever came across some audio bugs. Edit: to be clear, I’m talking about Colors Ultimate’s seizure glitches that were all over twitter recently
@@_maximus_prime_ The seizure bug is very real!! The only thing that was faked was the T posing. There's multiple people replicating the seizure bug on real Switch hardware by switching between a bunch of worlds and then selecting a level. And that's just ONE of the ways of pulling it off.

The fact that I was able to 100% complete the game without ever coming across it does show it isn’t something you could accidentally come across. About the 99,999 Tokens, restarting from a checkpoint respawns the Tokens, BUT you keep the tokens whether you re-collect them or not. So, with each attempt of a stage, you'd be grabbing the same Tokens over and over, and that's probably how you ended up with so many Tokens at once.
Favorite level.... Toughie.... Aquarium park an planet wisp are chill, love the vibes from starlight carnival, sweet mountain and tropical resort, but if I had to choose one, it's tropical resort, it feels like it would be bustling with shops and thrift stores
Terminal Velocity is a difficult level. Even in the original. But there is a method to it. A critical part of that method is dodging the crab machine’s lasers. Easy to do once you figure it out…in the original. Colors Ultimate made it near impossible to telegraph the lasers because the developers forgot to include the part where the lasers light up before they shoot. This makes dodging them SUPER frustrating because now it’s a guessing game. Thanks Blind Squirrel! 🙂

I feel like they're gonna pull a Sonic Mania by releasing it early and unfinished then release the actual full version of the game via an update years later along with a dlc.
I just got to say anyone who thought of going to Eggman’s interstellar amusement Park totally got ripped off. The brochure says “Five planets for the price of one” but this is clearly one satellite, three planets, an astroid field, a video game satellite shaped like Sonic’s head, and a squadron of battleships. What a rip off!
The same thing happened to me with the 99999 park tokens, except it happened when I finished act 4 or 5 in Aquarium Park, and when I played the act it had squares for some textures. Edit: One thing I think sucks is that you can't play as Miis anymore, probably a bug because when you collect 30 red rings, Game Land lights up but there are no new levels.
Here's a strategy for Terminal Velocity Act 1's hard part: When you start that part you need to boost a little right before he begins to punch Sonic. Once it becomes a birds eye view, KEEP BOOSTING! Destroy as many of the Motobugs as you can and you will succeed.
While I do think that the problems are just from having to release the game in an unfinished state (due to the insane amount of patches) This just goes to show that Sonic Team/Sega have not learned a thing. This greatly destroys much of the good faith I had for Sonic this decade.
Spike Wisps are the only thing in Generations Planet Wisp that I like. Being able to spindash along walls, jumping from wall to wall only to stick to that and keep moving is fun.

Huh, I beat this game just today, and.... Its Still sonic colors, I have the switch version the loading times are really long and more glitches, like no joke, i used the Spikes wisp went too fast and the game crashed. One time, booted up the game and It crashed before even booting up. And there's also some camera glitches but those only happen in the first levels. Again it's still sonic Colors, it's still good, it just could've been better. Also, probably the change I hate the most, is the change to the final boss design (yes, I'm indeed, a picky bitch) I really don't understand why they felt the need to use the design form the DS version, out of all the things to take from the DS version, the awesome exclusive wisp like burst and void? No, (and they have shown that they were willing to add another wisp, so I don't think that's asking too much) some of the concepts for some bosses?(like the 3D arena) No. But the design of the final boss? Yes, like the original final boss design was awesome, I don't get why they felt the need to change it, then again I'm probably the only one that thinks this, so maybe I'm just wrong for getting this upset about a design change.
I just realized this but you and I look and sound very similar to the point where I started questioning if I had a multiple personality disorder and was making these videos while I was blacked out.
I believe sega are asking people to send in clips of glitches people experience on twitter, so they do seem to care about the game and want to fix it, also some of the glitches are pretty 'colourful' on switch, i'd stay from them if people have epilepsy.
@Marquitchu Generations the patch still wont fix the game looking worse, which is the biggest problem out of all. Extreme bloom and lighting in half the levels, and then weirdly darkened and dull stages for the rest.

@@StarBird06 Don't buy the Switch version. Get it on Xbox, PS4, or PC. The Switch version has terrible load times, seizure inducing graphical glitches, save data corruption, crashes, and more. If you can only get it on Switch, wait til a patch that fixes all these issues before buying.
@@StarBird06 Switch & PS4 have it the worst. The seizure glitches are Switch Exclusive. The longer load times are also only on Switch. Both Switch & PS4 have glitches that cause save data to corrupt after a random crash. Xbox and PC have it best where the worst issues are audio not playing sometimes and an occasional crash here and there. If you have a capable Gaming PC or an Xbox One, I'd get it on there. Otherwise wait for a patch to roll out before buying.
This game despite being a pretty bad remaster is still really fun, except if you got after the red rings. In some zones like starlight carnival getting them is pretty fun, but then you have asteroid coaster act 1 (or 2 I don't remember, you know it's the level where you finish on a planet with a ring, and you can go on the ring to get the last red ring) where it's literally RNG if you get it or not, and then there's a level in planet wisp where literally, there are a variety of ways to get the fourth red ring and none of them feel like they're the intended way and then there are others that are just boring to get, and other stuff like that. Basically the difficulty of the red rings is screwed up since sometimes they're fun to get and other times in the same level as the really fun ones to get there's one that is just hell. But since they're optional, don't bother getting them. Other than that, yeah, Colors is still pretty damn fun.
QOTD: I haven't finished the game yet (hell I'm not even half way) but so far it's Sweet Mountain solely for the music (I got the original Wii version)
Imagine if the release of all that Wisp energy combined with the the Chaos Emeralds created a new ending where you unlike a dark Super Sonic. That'd be awesome!

I just realized this but you and I look and sound very similar to the point where I started questioning if I had a multiple personality disorder and was making these videos while I was blacked out.
I believe sega are asking people to send in clips of glitches people experience on twitter, so they do seem to care about the game and want to fix it, also some of the glitches are pretty 'colourful' on switch, i'd stay from them if people have epilepsy.

@Mr Alpaca it's a good game, it's just the older sonic fans cannot be satisfied. It's not perfect, but it's better than forces, which is kinda sad.
@Marquitchu Generations the patch still wont fix the game looking worse, which is the biggest problem out of all. Extreme bloom and lighting in half the levels, and then weirdly darkened and dull stages for the rest.
@Marquitchu Generations preferences or not, half of the levels have lighting that make absolutely no sense, for a remake focusing on making those types of things look 'better'
I haven't played Colors yet, so I'm pretty excited to get this when the physical edition releases!

@@StarBird06 Don't buy the Switch version. Get it on Xbox, PS4, or PC. The Switch version has terrible load times, seizure inducing graphical glitches, save data corruption, crashes, and more. If you can only get it on Switch, wait til a patch that fixes all these issues before buying.

The seizure glitches are Switch Exclusive. The longer load times are also only on Switch. Both Switch & PS4 have glitches that cause save data to corrupt after a random crash. Xbox and PC have it best where the worst issues are audio not playing sometimes and an occasional crash here and there.
If you have a capable Gaming PC or an Xbox One, I'd get it on there. Otherwise wait for a patch to roll out before buying.

This game despite being a pretty bad remaster is still really fun, except if you got after the red rings. In some zones like starlight carnival getting them is pretty fun, but then you have asteroid coaster act 1 (or 2 I don't remember, you know it's the level where you finish on a planet with a ring, and you can go on the ring to get the last red ring) where it's literally RNG if you get it or not, and then there's a level in planet wisp where literally, there are a variety of ways to get the fourth red ring and none of them feel like they're the intended way and then there are others that are just boring to get, and other stuff like that. Basically the difficulty of the red rings is screwed up since sometimes they're fun to get and other times in the same level as the really fun ones to get there's one that is just hell. But since they're optional, don't bother getting them. Other than that, yeah, Colors is still pretty damn fun.
When watching the game on RUclips and every time sonic boost I kept thinking my phone was on low quality so I kept checking

That's certainly one way to describe it, Thankfully Sega will be patching the glitches. Also my favourite level from Colours (I know but allow me) has to be Planet Wisp... The music and pacing for the first level is nothing short of perfect

In my personal opinion, Terminal Velocity becomes one of the easiest stages once you unlock Super sonic.The devs give you a butt load of rings in the beginning of the stage that it becomes a joke funnier than Baldy Nosehair.

Planet Wisp was both my most loved and most hated level. Music was beautiful, stages hurt, but not as much as Starlight Carnival.
My favorite level in Sonic Colors is Aquarium Park.
