Is Harrison Arkansas Really The MOST RACIST Town In America?

  • I am not gonna justify this places past and the “sundown” town grand entry. Clearly there’s some problems here. However to call it the most racist place is USA? Perhaps not.

I am a black biker and in June 2017 my son and I made Harrison our base camp for a week. For 5 straight days we rode our bikes on all the great roads in the area. After each day of riding we would sit on the balcony for an hour or 2 drinking beer and watching all the cool bikes and people. We visited with our cool motel neighbors, of all races, talking and sharing stories of our rides. We ate lunch and supper at the area restaurants and we never had an issue. Even went to a white (W as you call them) church. Maybe I am blind but I believe you reap what you sow. We have ridden through Harrison many times since and again with no problems. One thing that I believe is that what I call "racist hunters" can always find what they are looking for and their hunt starts when they see their first racist looking back at them in the mirror.

The billboards are gone. The people of Harrison came together and got rid of them years ago. The only one remaining is on the property of the family that lives in another town and wants very badly to make Harrison to look racist. The billboards depicted on the internet were taken down due to the focused efforts of the people of Harrison. Miss Arkansas, Ebony Mitchell, is from Harrison. Look up her statements about what it’s like for a child of color to grow up in Harrison. There are other RUclipsrs who’ve come to Harrison looking for racism and found the town quite friendly. Do your research carefully and critically. There are greater forces outside Harrison trying to keep alive a myth of racism than there are forces of racism in Harrison.

The Asian, Alaskan native, Hispanics and black families usually wanted there own neighbor area most of my friends said because of the traditions, food etc however there are racist people of all color. Just because there isn't many Asian , Latino or So food doesn't mean its racist. People migrate were they are comfortable. I think the news intentionally creates division to create a color revolution and to tear down our country. Look at the WEF, WHO Rockefellers etc they are trying to take down our country it much bigger. Maybe you should look at your own bias making statements like its racist based on restaurants in area? Sundown Liquor isn't even in Harrison AR. That's literally a town called Alpena, AR. You have zero clue about watching town entries and exits saying "now entering Harrison" and "Leaving Alpena." It's 12 miles west of Harrison. If you pause at 9:18, THAT is the entrance to Harrison. Not the Sundown Liquor that's 12 miles away. I also want to point out that all you did was drive through the town looking at things. If you'd stopped and gotten out or even talked to any of the citizens, there would've been a whole different vibe you would've gotten. Harrison has a few bad apples that don't even live in the town, they live usually outside of it, even the infamous Tom Robb doesn't live in Harrison, he lives in Zinc which is outside of Harrison. Harrison has a plethora of different races, from the lovely owners of the Chinese restaurant (Grand Fortuna has the best crab rolls!) to the owners of the Hoshi (Japanese sushi, to die for!) and the many different Mexican restaurants (Los Aztecas is hands down the best, Mexico Lindo is a close second) and we even had a Thai restaurant until COVID hit (rip Jasmine, you were the best curry place ;-;). The town has a bad past, and we know it. But the citizens are not the ones from the past. And there are many, many Mexican-Americans who live here and work here. I have lived here all my life and seen many different videos and articles about our town, and I just want people to know that we are not our past and we don't claim the individuals who are awful.

People are racist, not towns. Unless someone gives you the maloik after you smile or nod hello, you cannot label them. I really think you make false accusations for clicks. So if you don’t know who Norm Crampton is, you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground about Harrison or any other small town in America.
Harrison got a bad name from things of its past but, there are black people in Harrison that love their town because they know that these things are a thing of the past. One of the three sent to prison was on death row without any evidence that they were guilty. They took the word of a crazy fool that didn't have any better sense than to agree with the investigation that were leading him to get what they wanted to hear . This nut thought he would get the reward money . And as the result he got sentenced to prison too . The true story is called the west Memphis three.

Social media is shining a light on those sundown towns vampires that been living in darkness for centuries and like helpless vampires exposed to the light they will be left behind, blaming others for their failure.
