Quin! This series is so cool, just a note--so long as you don't leave the mountain when it's glowing, the Lord will respawn! Feeding him carrots can get him to stay around longer. Good luck!
@@QuinBoBin He respawns at least twice, so you should have three attempts, minimum. But make sure he can’t see you when he respawns or he will run off again. Toss the carrots (I think apples work, too?) like you did the banana for the Yiga clan hideout. You can ALSO mount him, tame him, feed him apples, and then he will stand and pose for a bit! I think full stamina wheel is enough, but having stamina food or elixir wouldn’t hurt.
A quick tip Quin! You probably already know this but if you look at something with the camera and the name of the creature is orange, you haven't got a picture of it in the compendium yet, if its blue, you have already got a picture of it! Loving the episodes Quin! 😁💕
Looking back out how long I've been watching this channel and realising it's gotta be around 2 years now and not once have i ever felt the quality of content has ever dropped. Here's a great tip for when you do The Photos of Weapons and Shields -NPCs carry shields and weapons that you can easily take Pictures of -Ores and Chests do have slots in the Album (the ores on the map, not each ore so no Picture of an Opal and such) -The Best Picture of the Master Sword would probably the end of the Trial of the sword
Yeah in general things considered "drops" from other entities aren't included, like monster parts don't count because they dropped from the monsters, and gemstones don't count because they usually drop from ores or Pebblits/Taluses. I think one of the hardest pictures for me was Fairy. I tried taking one early on, going "do these count?" but it didn't recognize them so I assumed they didn't. They actually do, you just have to get stupidly close to them. I think the only pieces of equipment carried by NPCs that don't count as actual equipment entities are the Gorons' pickaxes and shovels. I always thought it was such a cool detail that every other NPC specifically carried equipment you could find and carry yourself, as well as many of them wearing real pieces of armor identical to those Link could put on, like Snowquill or Gerudo clothing.
1:47 the map in botw is split into a grid, so you basically have to be not in the hyrule ridge region at all. Try waiting on top of rito village, or gerudo highlands! Also the lord of the mountain spawns only when it's a crescent moon, which you can check with the guy at duelling peaks stable. Then just wait from 12am on that day until midnight, and hopefully it works!
Quick tip for taking the photo of The Lord Of The Mountain; if you scare him away just walk away a few meters from where he originally is, he will respawn shortly after. Best thing to do though is to tame him and then take the pic.

The variety of birds in particular always fascinated me. There are six different types of sparrows and four types of pigeons with different coloration that inhabit different regions (for some reason the Common Sparrow is one of the least common), and then there are these unique birds like the Eldin Ostrich, and birds that are basically impossible to get detailed photos of because they never actually land, like Islander Hawks and Seagulls. Also, for all the owl calls you can hear in the ambience, you'd think the actual owls would be hiding somewhere, but no, they unfortunately don't really exist.
You know un-equipping your weapons makes you even stealthier. That is not a question, it’s a statement because even if you didn’t already know, you do now.
Something about the compendium videos are just my absolute favs, I love how much you get into taking each and every photo, and the excitement of the 'perfect pic' being taken. It's just a great time seeing you run around in botw doing something so simple yet make it look like the most fun thing ever, it's infectious !! I would love to see you do more compendium vids, if you wanted to ofc~! Also btw, you can drop apples near the Lord of the Mountain and he'll eat them, it makes for a great (and cute) pic ;3c !! Quin, you need to see this. When the lord runs away, DO NOT LEAVE THE MOUNTAIN. As long as its stil misty and blue he will come back if you just move a little away, hide and wait. You can feed him carrots even and watch him eat. But if you leave the area, the mist will dissappear and you'll have to wait all over.
I never thought I’d enjoy watching a compendium get filled but you make this so much fun every single time. I’d love to see you complete the whole thing and really work towards 100% game completion . Love you bro
Some fun stuff about Satori Mountain and the Lord of the Mountain: The Lord of the Mountain and Blupees have a very similar face, also he's surrounded by tons of them when you find him, so they're connected to each other in some way. You can get him to be nice and pose for a picture by taming him first, but be careful, he's mystical and just disappears if you don't hop back on him soon enough. Satori Mountain is home to tons of stal enemies usually, except on nights where the Lord of the Mountain is present. Not a single enemy will be found on the mountain (except maybe a random keese swarm). Additionally, all the non-hostile creatures of Hyrule appear to be drawn to him, as you can find a massive variety of wildlife from all over right on the mountain when the glow is present. And, of course, I have to mention in case anyone is unaware. Both Satori Mountain and the Lord of the Mountain are direct references to the late Satoru Iwata, previous CEO of Nintendo, who played a massive role in making the company what is today. If you're a Nintendo fan, you have almost definitely played a game he had a huge part in creating. It's quite touching that the devs put in such a nice reference to the man into the game.
I don't know why but anytime you play breath of the Wild I click on it no matter what I'm doing because you are the top G for real even though I joined 8 months ago I have finally grown and I hope to be as good as you one day and yeah I'm at 66 subscribers to this point and I'm very very happy and excited

Not sure if you've noticed yet, but anything that can be registered in the compendium is noted by the camera rune by four boundary corners and its name displayed over top. Additionally, this cue is color-coded. If you don't have a entry for the compendium yet, the markers will be orange. If you already have a picture recorded for the subject in question, the markers will be blue.
That was the BEST BOKO PHOTO I have ever seen. Okay, but everything running and then Quin panning the camera around to see a Stalnox’s fist coming down right on him made me choke on water. 😂🤣🤣 Quin, these videos are so entertaining. I am enjoying this compendium hunt series SO much! Your photos are a perfect range of styles, from legit photography to charming to hilarious. I hope you do it allll, but also understand if you want to skip the birds and bugs because they can be tedious and require patience to get close-ups. And I’ve never though my to take a photo of Thunderblight staring ominously over his shield. That shot is so eerie and I love it. (That lizard DOES look like he’s up to devious things, hahaha)
About the boomerang idea you had, you can actually destroy Thunderblight's shield in 2nd phase with a boomerang (instead of the metal pillars)! So the challenge wouldn't be impossible in the slightest.
Don’t worry quin, the lord of the mountain is so very elusive and it is painful (also if you tame him you have to be quick to take the photo or he disappears after a bit!)
That last photo is incredible. Nice job Quin. I was way too lazy and just bought all the photos, but I’m glad I get to live vicariously through this series haha
the boomerang challenge sounds awesome :0 it’s probably doable with the ones on the map and i think some amiibos give you them as well but i can’t remember which ones
So Quin, you call yourself the master of stealth? I know a BotW challenge that you may enjoy. It's called ancient gear solid, and it's a stealth challenge for BotW. If you are interested, my friend who told me of this challenge is streaming it on RUclips in about 2 days, and she could probably give you better info on it, but basically if you see an outpost you MUST take it out and then mark it on your map so that you know you've already done it. Once you beat the outpost once, you don't have to do it again. You CAN run away from an outpost, but you must come back to it later. The goal is to be as stealthy as possible, you can use shields, you can not warp, there is a 5 heart heart limit, and try to not get spotted by enemies lingering about Hyrule. If you want more details then I can give you the username of this friend of mine so you can see the streams and ask then, just thought this is something you might enjoy! Also, give credit to where you got the challenge if you do partake.

Some fun stuff about Satori Mountain and the Lord of the Mountain: The Lord of the Mountain and Blupees have a very similar face, also he's surrounded by tons of them when you find him, so they're connected to each other in some way. You can get him to be nice and pose for a picture by taming him first, but be careful, he's mystical and just disappears if you don't hop back on him soon enough. Satori Mountain is home to tons of stal enemies usually, except on nights where the Lord of the Mountain is present. Not a single enemy will be found on the mountain (except maybe a random keese swarm). Additionally, all the non-hostile creatures of Hyrule appear to be drawn to him, as you can find a massive variety of wildlife from all over right on the mountain when the glow is present.
And, of course, I have to mention in case anyone is unaware. Both Satori Mountain and the Lord of the Mountain are direct references to the late Satoru Iwata, previous CEO of Nintendo, who played a massive role in making the company what is today. If you're a Nintendo fan, you have almost definitely played a game he had a huge part in creating. It's quite touching that the devs put in such a nice reference to the man into the game.

Not sure if you've noticed yet, but anything that can be registered in the compendium is noted by the camera rune by four boundary corners and its name displayed over top. Additionally, this cue is color-coded. If you don't have a entry for the compendium yet, the markers will be orange. If you already have a picture recorded for the subject in question, the markers will be blue.

Quin, these videos are so entertaining. I am enjoying this compendium hunt series SO much! Your photos are a perfect range of styles, from legit photography to charming to hilarious. I hope you do it allll, but also understand if you want to skip the birds and bugs because they can be tedious and require patience to get close-ups.
And I’ve never though my to take a photo of Thunderblight staring ominously over his shield. That shot is so eerie and I love it.
(That lizard DOES look like he’s up to devious things, hahaha)

About the boomerang idea you had, you can actually destroy Thunderblight's shield in 2nd phase with a boomerang (instead of the metal pillars)! So the challenge wouldn't be impossible in the slightest.

Don’t worry quin, the lord of the mountain is so very elusive and it is painful (also if you tame him you have to be quick to take the photo or he disappears after a bit!)

The final part of the map was that cabin, the final bit of % of the map was that treasure chest in the cabin.

So Quin, you call yourself the master of stealth? I know a BotW challenge that you may enjoy. It's called ancient gear solid, and it's a stealth challenge for BotW. If you are interested, my friend who told me of this challenge is streaming it on RUclips in about 2 days, and she could probably give you better info on it, but basically if you see an outpost you MUST take it out and then mark it on your map so that you know you've already done it. Once you beat the outpost once, you don't have to do it again. You CAN run away from an outpost, but you must come back to it later. The goal is to be as stealthy as possible, you can use shields, you can not warp, there is a 5 heart heart limit, and try to not get spotted by enemies lingering about Hyrule. If you want more details then I can give you the username of this friend of mine so you can see the streams and ask then, just thought this is something you might enjoy!
Also, give credit to where you got the challenge if you do partake.

You get to hunt for toads, and when you find them they have funny dialog. It's a hilarious game, incredibly beautiful, and the puzzles are great and the music!!

Lord of the Mountain only spawns at night. You should set a pin to the mountain. (You can see his glow from pretty far away. So you can/should be able to check periodically without porting. :3) I hope you also have a good day! Looking forwards to the next video
